I just ordered parts for my first PC and found out after the fact that there were issues with 13th and 14th gen intel processors. Is this specific processor one of the ones with issues? And if so, has the issue actually been fixed?

You're about 18 months behind, but yes it is fixed and no it doesn't apply to that CPU.

Like I said, it’s my first PC and literally everything is new to me. All the google results I’m seeing are from like last summer, so it seemed more recent than 18 months. Either way, thanks for the help. Just wanted to make sure I wasn’t making a mistake

Sorry I didn't mean that to sound accusatory, the problem was with the high tier chips, they were using excessive voltage to hit high boost clocks and degrading the CPU. BIOS updates have fixed this already, but it didn't apply to the 13400F which is a great budget gaming choice. If you feel worried about this, just make sure to flash the latest BIOS when you get your stuff and there will be no chance of problems.

No worries and thanks a bunch. I’ve been overwhelmed with information over the last 2-3 weeks. Trying to learn as much as I can lol. All my parts are (supposed to be) coming in this weekend/next week. I’m super excited for my first build and first pc.
