Bought a 7800xt last week but wondering if I should get a 4070.super instead

Current build is : RYZEN 7 5800x Had a 3070 but bought the RX7800xt a week ago. 1TB SSD NVME 16GB DDR4
Im playing on a 1440p 480hz monitor.
Im wondering should I keep the RX7800xt or swap it for a 4070 Super.

7800xt is the best value this generation. The 4070s isn't good enough to warrant a switch like that imo.

Pepperidge farm remembers when people figured things like this out before they spent hundreds of dolleros

If u commonly use upscaling and or rt then sure

On my 3070 i was using dlss and the quality was good but i feel like when using fsr quality isnt as sharp.
Active-Quarter-4197@reddit
Yeah fsr is noticeably worse when compared to dlss so if u are using it then go for Nvidia

Wait for a 5070

I could get an RX 7900XT for 604$ USD but used would it be worth it ?

I have a 4070 (not a super), I play at 1440p. There are a few games that already have problems with the limited 12gb Vram, Indian Jones: Great Circle, Star Citizen, Atlas (Steam), that list for sure will lengthen as times rolls on.
I plan to upgrade my 4070 to a 5070 Ti, you may want to also, or keep that 7800XT.

You could, but it would only make a marginal difference. 🤷
HisAnger@reddit
In RT and only in a titles needing at most 12gb of vram

Yeah personally I'd rather have the 7800xt (I have a 7900gre) for the vram and cost savings, but the super is a tiny bit faster and better at rt.

There’s not gonna be a big difference at all.
