What would the correct ignition timing be on a 1955 Bel Air Chevrolet, with a 327 cubic-inch engine and a four-barrel carburetor?

That's total timing not base timing, that is 10 degrees BTDC

A 1955 chevy didn't come with a 327 v8. So it kinda depends on what the 327 came out of and if it is stock, or a "hopped up" engine.
But if we assume it is the standard goto in the classic car world and it's a corvette 327 .
Base timing with vacuum advance disconnected and hose plugged is 10 degrees BTDC (BEFORE TOP DEAD CENTER) at idle AND 34-36 DEGREES at 3000 rpm total timing with the vacuum advance disconnected.
