Affordable good quality portable cooktops?

I get a lot of power outages, and it gets too cold to cook outside, hopefully something that can be used indoors if even for a few minutes to make something like eggs.

Whatever you get, make sure to get a battery operated CO monitor to be on with it.

Depends on how much you cook.
I have a dual burner propane camping stove that is fantastic and I've used it a lot. I like that I can use it just about anywhere as it is portable.
Recently got a 3 burner propane RV stove for canning in my outdoor kitchen. Works great and it is barely 25 years old. Works good for bread also.

Camp Chef, Coleman, Vesta. Wait for a deal as they often go on sale. r/preppersales tracks them

I like my Vesta. It has limitations, but very safe and easy to use indoors. https://encrypted-tbn0.gstatic.com/images?q=tbn:ANd9GcRGfVDZ1t3gGpg_nqyDo0cgVVCc4LC_PXR3fe_19G4SAQ&s

Single burner butane stove. Canisters are about spray-paint can size. We bought one for frequent outages and have used it often. If it gave up, I would absolutely get another.

This! Easy to pop out during winter outages or just for a fun hotpot night with friends.

I am a fan of the old-school two-burner Coleman camp stoves that use white gas, and can also use propane with a converter. I frequently see them at garage sales. I have one (from a garage sale) that is 40-50 years old, and still going strong. You can buy one-gallon cans of white gas (a.k.a. camp fuel) at Walmart for $15. Please get a carbon-monoxide detector for any type of indoor cooking using a camp stove.

I have one of those, inherited from my father. They are amazing - but I'm going t point out that they should not be used indoors. Yes, I've done in, it a large house with a lot of ventilation and proper detectors. And it was still not very clever.
Coleman makes a propane version that's fine indoors. If you use a large tank, the tank should be outside with the hose through a window; and yes I've broken that rule too, but I checked every hose and joint daily when I did it.

I do not disagree about the dangers of using white gas or propane indoors. I have only done so in the basement when it was bitterly cold outside, and with a CO detector sitting next to the stove. Not the safest or smartest choice, but I just couldn't hack freezing my butt off or hoping that the puny alcohol stove would manage to get the job done before running out of fuel.

You can get the same ones on Amaxon that go for $25+ for like $8 on Aliexpress. I have one and it's sturdy. It has a hose and I got an adapter so it takes propane or butane for another $1.

I have one of the smaller blackstones (tabletop kind) it would be great for cooking meals as a gas stove equivalent.

I would probably look intop a Indoor Outdoor Camp Stove like Vesta . Use with canned heat sources like Instafire Canned Heat .

Any budget hot plate on Amazon with decent human reviews will be fine. I got a double hotplate cooktop for $25 or something.

I would recommend you check my post about preparing for a Power Outage. I mention a few different options that are indoor safe.
