Hey everyone. I have a friend building a PC from scratch aiming for 1080p gaming. He does not care for RGB or anything flashy, just purely functional. This is his current part list:

Most of these parts have already arrived, all came from Amazon. His GPU order got delayed, and he is wanting to get this built ASAP. Luckily, I have a Microcenter nearby and I'm planning on making a run there tomorrow while he is at work and grabbing him a GPU.

While I was looking into that, I found this bundle in stock with an AMD Ryzen 5 7600X & ASUS B650M-A Prime AX II & 16GB DDR5 RAM: https://www.microcenter.com/product/5006990/amd-ryzen-5-7600x,-asus-b650m-a-prime-ax-ii,-gskill-16gb-ddr5-6000,-computer-build-bundle

This bundle is $299 vs the $292 that he is currently paying for his Ryzen 5 5600X & MSI PRO B550M-VC WIFI Micro ATX AM4 MOBO. I'm suggesting to him that I grab this bundle for him and he returns his current parts. My rationale is that the AM5 MOBO allows for upgrades in the future and it seems the 7600X performs better than the 5600X for the same price (in this bundle). Although I've read that the MOBO in this bundle tends to cause some issues. He's planning on using the stock cooler currently. I'm not an expert in this in the slightest, is this bundle a smart move?

For GPU, we're looking at these from Microcenter. Hoping to keep it around $300. They have a few 4060s in stock, but the 8GB VRAM scares me off.
