ULPT Request, What are unethical ways a disabled person can avoid homelessness?

I have a disability (ASD) that severely hampers my ability to keep a job. I live in an extremely toxic household and I want to get out of here as soon as possible. I am looking for a quick way out and I don't care if it's ethical or not.

Are you in the U.S.? If so, have you tried applying for disability?
ima_littlemeh@reddit
Compounding on this- if you're diagnosed disabled on paper you can get a caseworker and get hooked up on housing if you get a disability check.

This. I think the first step after applying for fisab

Often takes years to be approved, and is rarely approved for ASD unless you're quite high support needs. It's good to apply but not a practical short term solution for anyone, unfortunately.

I'm not really sure about anything unethical aside from robbing/stealing that'll help you now.
If you've actually been diagnosed with severe ASD, you can get disability. If you're just using it as an excuse to not work because jobs suck, you're burnt. Figure out some coping methods and grow the fuck up.

Did you know that in no point in recorded history have unenslaved people worked so much for so little? Serfs worked less than you do. "Cope and grow the fuck up" is such a weird response to oppression.

I work as an Uber driver, but this line of work is not going to last forever. I'm high functioning l, so I won't get SSDI because they only give it on severe cases. I can't retain most jobs because I'm too slow to learn and I have executive functioning issues.
GemGlamourNGlitter@reddit
Have you been professionally diagnosed because "high functioning" isn't used anymore.
javiergc1@reddit (OP)
I was diagnosed before 2010

Go to prison. Free food, free house.

Some companies specifically want to hire people with ASD, maybe try to find some of those? Or even working a grocery store is a great main gig. Bagging and gathering cart, they don't care how long it takes you to learn.

Make little-to-no money so you can get state insurance (if you live in a shithole go to a less shitty hole) get a good-ass diagnosis, case management, get social security disability, wait lists for subsidied housing and section 8, wait, get housed bitch. It's not that unethical if you're actually too sick to work, it feels like it tho. It took me a couple years from street to apartment, and I started during the pandemic when my state was giving free hotel rooms to bums, the General Assistance office in the city I was in allowed me to stay mostly indoors while i waited on the wait list for case management. The case management did basically everything for me (because I needed it because I'm functionally retarded) and now I'm living in an apartment with a bunch of retired folks and schizos and among good company.

Maybe there's a hack out there where you don't put your freedom at stake. I was thinking about loaning my papers to an immigrant or something in exchange for living rent free and not being homeless.

In my area an identity for employment only goes for $400.
You would be taking the majority of the workers paycheck in order to fund the rent. So not really feasible.
javiergc1@reddit (OP)
Having a roommate pay for rent and using my papers so he can have a job while I try to get a job myself.
Skeggy-@reddit
Oh I see, as in roommates.
Would still make more sense if the worker just bought an identity. a two bedroom apartment is like a 30% increase.
Living with the person you’re later going to accuse of identity theft if discovered isn’t a good play either.
SneeKeeFahk@reddit
It's only illegal if you get caught.
javiergc1@reddit (OP)
The risk is too high with that one. I need something less risky.
SneeKeeFahk@reddit
Where's your sense of adventure? You used to be cool, what happened to you?
javiergc1@reddit (OP)
I will indeed take risks, but calculated ones

Hypothetically because I would never part-take in illegal activities: who can you sell ADHD stimulates to?

Plus, if you get caught selling them you’ll find another way to get out of both your toxic workplace and home, with free rent and board as well!

Take out a loan and buy a small travel trailer. Check out couch surfing websites or Craigslist places to barter parking your travel trailer on their property in exchange for XYZ. Try local farms as well. I pray your situation gets better, I deeply understand.

Free housing is never quick. Apply now.

Selling your body (irl or on cam) and letting people fetishize your disability is both unethical and potentially highly lucrative.
