UAL2419 01/16/2025 Diversion

UAL2419 made a quick diversion to MSY on its way to DEN on Jan 17th. Looks like it wasn’t reaching its planned flight speed from the altitude and speed graph. It took off only 50 minutes later and reached DEN with no issues. Anyone have any insight to what might have caused this?

A flight doesn't have a planned ground speed. Since it was only on the ground for a short time it was probably a medical event.

Confirmed via ACARS history. Medical event involving passenger with low blood pressure, FAs used medical kit, MedLink professional recommended they get on the ground.

Rule 2

I didn’t know where else to ask this question and figured this was a good place to ask

It's not. Reference Rule 2

I did before posting. One this is not a low effort post, I had a genuine question. Secondly, it’s not even from FlightRadar, and also I figured this images I posted would be helpful information to the question I was asking

You posted an ADSB-derived screenshot. It's exactly what kind of posts Rule 2 is referring to.

Is that TAS or GS?

GS

How do you know what seed they were planning to cruise at? I think you’re looking into this a bit too much.

Filed cruise speed was 528mph. I assumed the second plot was GS not IAS and that they had a headwind so I included that incase it happened to be relevant
