Weird consistency of Arctix MX-6?

Whenever I used thermal paste it was pretty liquid-y and easy to spread out using a spatula. But for my current build I bought the Arctic MX-6 and its consistency caught me off guard - it feels much more rigid, sticks to the spatula more and is pretty hard to spread. Should it be like that and I'm just feeling the difference between normal thermal paste and more budget stuff I used before, or is something wrong?

Thermalright TF7 is also pretty solid when it comes out of the tube. It's normal and the paste should liquify once it heats up from a CPU.
Just try to get enough of a dot on the centre and four corners of the CPU, and the pressure from tightening down the cooler should spread it out.

That's just Arctic MX-6 sadly, I went back to Arctic MX-4 solely for the reason.
