Is it a 2k lacquer or not?

Has anyone used this kind of stuff?
When it arrived, turns out it doesn't have hardener "button" to be pushed. Apparently these are pre-mixed with hardener?
Can I still use this direct to metal on a bare alloy wheel? (I have stripped clear coat already off a diamond cut wheel)
I was sure I'll receive one of those cans that have to be mixed but turns out it's some sort of fancy air dry stuff...
I'm proper confused...

I bought something like this after accidentally not realising it didn't have the extra button for hardener to be added.
Long story short, on a bike frame that lives inside a shed it's been fine for 3 or so years. On my car that sat outside in all weather it crazed after 6 or so months of hot sun.
Basically, don't buy it.

I don't get much sun in UK, even less in Manchester so it may be fine I hope.
Thanks for the input, that's really valuable

I'm in the south of the UK, so a bit sunnier, but I'd still avoid for anything that lives outside!

I see, I. Will consider your advice đ

If itâs âpremixedâ it is a 1k paint. 2k always needs to be activated before use. Seller doesnât know what theyâre talking about.

That's what I'm thinking, see my comment

I've never seen a 2k paint without some sort of catalyst or hardener. So this sounds more like marketing/gimmick to me but what do I know.

I've looked into similar things ones and it says that they're pre-mixed with a hardener, there's loads of them.
They're called "2K HS"
Are they even supposed to be called 2k? I don't know...
Some of them explicitly state that they're not fuel resistant.
How do they differ from normal spray clearcoat is beyond me...

I have always used spraymax.. Never seen this brand.

is that OK direct to metal?
Classic-Historian458@reddit
May want to look into products dedicated to that purpose. Regular clear coat won't last long if we're talking about steel.

Iv personally not used it directly on metal.. There are many people who have from forums/YouTube. They say it's good but ofc, can't comment on longevity of it.

Ask the seller?

Best way, I'm waiting for the answer
