Vinfast jumpscare
Trainzguy2472@reddit
There's a Vinfast dealership near my house. I always wonder who tf buys those things.
eyeb4lls@reddit
Vinfast sounds like a scam DMV 3rd party service
sparrow_42@reddit
Agreed
detroitragace@reddit
lol. That’s Phil Gordon’s. He’s a professional automotive photographer. He shot my last car for Lowrider Magazine.
rightpart-rightprice@reddit
He did what to your car???
saliczar@reddit
Speed holes
detroitragace@reddit
Shot it. As in took all the photographs for my Spread in Lowrider.
FletcherCommaIrwin@reddit
"To spreads you say? Very well then..."
rightpart-rightprice@reddit
Ohhhh. You meant shot it with a camera…
djscoots10@reddit
First one looks like a hotwheels car come to life. What is a vinfast?
Kichigai@reddit
Vinfast is an EV company courtesy of the Vietnamese equivalent of Buy-n-Large. They own whole cities. Universities. People working in VinGroup factories live in VinGroup apartments.
Their two EVs are worse than just unreliable. They're unsafe. Horrible handling. Horrible ride quality. When journalists test drove early examples they were told over and over again that these problems would be fixed with OTA updates. They absolutely did not. And no two Vinfast vehicles have the same problems, or even driving dynamics. It's absolutely shocking they got USDOT approval.
RunFromTheIlluminati@reddit
Vietnamese EV company whose cars are notorious for software glitches.
djscoots10@reddit
Yikes
Heavy_Perspective792@reddit (OP)
Never heard of a Vinfast before seeing it. Apparently there is a dealership in Orlando.
icybowler3442@reddit
Looks like an S-1000 pickuuuup
ScottaHemi@reddit
oh those rims... what have they done to you Gen2 Blazer :(
mini4x@reddit
Highly modded S10 Pickup, not a Blazer.
bonerJR@reddit
Nice we got a twofer
ProfessionalDue7296@reddit
That s10 is cool as fuck
Moist_Arm_7860@reddit
Vietnamese retaliation after many years. Here's our car and try driving it without peeing your pants on the freeway. We have excellent software that can't predict what will go wrong with your car next second...be prepared for the unknown light or message or mechanical or electrical failure
IRingTwyce@reddit
I saw one of these at my daughter's school last spring, same color. It caught me off guard being in a smaller suburb on the far outskirts of Dallas.
I will say it looked pretty good in person. I was disappointed I never saw the person who drove it. Knowing the reviews of it and all the known issues I really wanted to ask about their experience with glitches, reliability, build quality.
Moist_Arm_7860@reddit
We have lots of them in Canada especially the Greater Toronto Area. I have mostly seen the smaller VF5 not the larger VF8. They have very low lease rates but I think you have to lease the battery pack separately.
Scoopdoopdoop@reddit
I've never seen one in America anywhere
Viharabiliben@reddit
I’ve seen a few in San Jose.
testing123-testing12@reddit
Well its definitely unique. Not my taste but of the era i guess
ozzy_thedog@reddit
That is a badass S10 mini truck and I guarantee that roof comes off too. 🤤
testing123-testing12@reddit
Strangely enough based on the other photos it doesn't look like the roof is removeable.
I don't know whether that's a good thing or not.
Fair_Bus_7130@reddit
Yeah it kinda looks like a Carson top.
Honest-Cat7154@reddit
Had they just tried to make a s-10 blazer with a glass top this could have been a win. That top is gawd awful…posts to support it, bad chop, and the rear looks like a Lego block. It does distract from the terrible wheels though.
Drzhivago138@reddit
Judging by the length, I think they started with an S-10 pickup and filled the gap between bed and cab. More pics
DMala@reddit
The interior’s sort of weird. It looks like it should be a party wagon with space for a dozen people, but the whole back is taken up with the compressor tank and the exposed diff, axle and exhaust pipes.
Drzhivago138@reddit
It'd be hard to fit 12 people comfortably in an S-10, even if it was the less common long bed.
ReformedCanine@reddit
That truck is legendary in the MiniTruck world. Been around for nearly 20 years.
