If I'm using rearden Atlas set up. Do I need to check aliment every time I swap back-and-forth on rifles I have checked previously?
Randymaple92@reddit
is it bad that I just put my suppressor on and then just look down the barrel into an open action and say "yeah that looks about lined up" ?
Entire_Routine_3621@reddit
I have some out of specs AKs (zastava m92 is not concentric) so need a rod just for peace of mind to check my alignment adapter.
AscendantJustice@reddit
What do you do if it's out of alignment? Get a new muzzle device? Just don't use it on that rifle?
Entire_Routine_3621@reddit
I have a muzzle device that indexes with the bore vs index on the shroud like the factory. Then I use a large bore suppressor, in this case I use omega 36m (9mm) for the m92 and it works. Wouldn’t trust a 7.62 suppressor but 36cal give tolerance
Ike_From_Kratos_DG@reddit (OP)
That's a very good example of a situation where a rod is very valuable. I'd definitely want to verify alignment before sending it.
Sasselhoff@reddit
Haha, glad it's not just me.
BubblegumDeficiency@reddit
The best test will always be the send test.
sprchrgddc5@reddit
Use your $500 weapon light set up too. If it creates a perfect circle, you’re GTG.
Ike_From_Kratos_DG@reddit (OP)
Not really. Most of the time just eyeballing it is good enough. In certain applications, it can be helpful and if you want to make absolutely sure, an alignment rod is the way to go.
Most folks don’t need one and are just fine taking a peek down the bore and sending it. If you do need one, make sure you get one that is straight and well-made. They’re supposed to be precision gauges and you want to make sure that it will give you an accurate reading.
ar2d266@reddit
They make great rods! I use them on my 5.56 can and 7.62 cans with out any issues.
Entire_Routine_3621@reddit
McMasters has high tolerances, what do you mean straightness wise? They are industrial grade…
n0mad187@reddit
Drill rod has tight tolerance on Diameter no straightness.
akmjolnir@reddit
The concept of rotating the alignment rod 360° escapes most folks. If your McMaster rod is touching the end cap after a full rotation you've got all the info to figure out the problem. And, it's likely not the rod.
RNAguns@reddit
My McMasters were junk. I threw them all out trying to save money. The high tolerance probably refers to the trueness of its diameter dimensions, not straightness.
ar2d266@reddit
They are warped might work migh not work. Their tolerance are off. I got 2 different ones and just threw them out for them not being straight enough.
Ike_From_Kratos_DG@reddit (OP)
That's great to hear! Thank you!
Omniposter@reddit
100% same boat
TheHomersapien@reddit
What do you sell to check the alignment of your alignment rods? And then what do you sell to check the alignment of that?
medyaya26@reddit
Oh my fucking god!!!!! I bought 3 on Amazon for $16. Worked great, gave the extra to friends. Don’t let these guys take you for a ride.
BubblegumDeficiency@reddit
There’s only one rod I trust.
IXVanity@reddit
I only put my trust in the great and holy RamRod!
PrometheusSmith@reddit
The 20ft long, 24,000lb tungsten penetrator of project Thor?
Heeeeyyouguuuuys@reddit
My massive dong.
Ike_From_Kratos_DG@reddit (OP)
You have to check the alignment of the alignment rod checker.
Silly-Swan-8642@reddit
Roll it on a glass table, it’ll be obvious if anything is off but CF is great for this. I bought some ~.295cal arrow shafts a while back and they’re perfect for 30 cal

Showing up as 34.99 in cart, am I missing something?
Ike_From_Kratos_DG@reddit (OP)
It should still be active. Make sure you use the code JAN-R
thebestloser@reddit
picked up two blems a few weeks ago. everything came quickly and was packed nicely 👍
Rickbobbie@reddit
Blems are like $5 cheaper.... worth the price difference?
thebestloser@reddit
I have no issues with mine and helped me align my cans.
Ike_From_Kratos_DG@reddit (OP)
Hell yeah!
BossJackson222@reddit
I've never checked alignment with any of my guns or suppressors lol. Never had an issue. And I have about 15
MisterMarimba@reddit
I have the 5.56 and 7.62, they're great!
drichatx@reddit
In for 2 (.223 and 7.62). Will pick up a 9mm when it's available. Thanks!
na91100@reddit
love your guys’ light mount, I have like 4, but PLEASE can we get the screws that mount the light body to the mount as torx screws? I stripped the shit out of one hex screw so now that body is permanently attached unless I decide to really try and get it off.
Ike_From_Kratos_DG@reddit (OP)
We sure appreciate ya! That's one of our goals for 2025. Finding a quality torx screw for that application. It's hard finding one that has the specs we need. There are plenty of torx screws out there but none that we've found have the strength and quality we need.
TooEZ_OL56@reddit
That would be amazing, a quality torx screw is night and day compared to a Hex, especially whatever Holosun is using lol.
kfezUSMC@reddit
Is your system down? I've tried checking out twice and it's not going through
Ike_From_Kratos_DG@reddit (OP)
Everything seems to be working on our end. What browser are you using? I'll see if I can find anything out.
kfezUSMC@reddit
Just went through. No idea why it wasn't before. Thanks
Ike_From_Kratos_DG@reddit (OP)
Awesome! Sorry for the hassle!
bananasparagus@reddit
VPN?
kfezUSMC@reddit
No. I'll try again
elleon28@reddit
Just order one, thanks
EveningStatus7092@reddit
My alignment rod is the lifetime warranty the can came with. Send it
laxman_09@reddit
Was ready to buy but no 9mm.
Entire_Routine_3621@reddit
Same, need 9mm
Ike_From_Kratos_DG@reddit (OP)
Those are in production. We should have them ready in 4-10 weeks
laxman_09@reddit
Well you jinxed me. Got F3 notice for my DTF STi. Going to have to find something else.
laxman_09@reddit
I'll keep an eye out then.
daddy_hurt_me@reddit
I can vouch for these. much better than the mcmaster carr rods that everyone else sells in this price range
tylers_creator@reddit
$30 for piece of mind or risk a baffle strike. Choice is yours.
Got my kratos carbon rod last month. Very nice product and the dope cards are high quality as well. W company
Ike_From_Kratos_DG@reddit (OP)
Hell yeah! We sure appreciate ya!
Baddy-Smalls@reddit
I'd vouch for these guys. I have one of their Gas blocks and the dope stickers. Good to go. Good designs overall.
Ike_From_Kratos_DG@reddit (OP)
Thanks!!!
Baddy-Smalls@reddit
Of course. Well deserved. I rarely praise anyone.
Familiar_Luck_3333@reddit
Do you have an ETA on the 9mm rods?
Ike_From_Kratos_DG@reddit (OP)
We're hoping to have those in 4-10 weeks. Our prototypes and testing are complete. Now it's just a matter of producing them!
Omniposter@reddit
Just wanted to give a huge thumbs up for these. Light, super straight and my favorite alignment rods out there.
(I went through a phase where I bought a ton of them).
Now I just need a 9mm one... looking at you Ike!
Ike_From_Kratos_DG@reddit (OP)
We sure appreciate ya!
Silly-Swan-8642@reddit
Are these arrow shafts? Because arrow shafts are great
Ike_From_Kratos_DG@reddit (OP)
Arrow shafts are great. Most of the time they're super straight. The problem is finding a shaft that's properly sized. If it's too small it can give false readings and you'd be just as good eyeballing it. If it's too large, well, for obvious reasons that wont' work. Finding one that's as close as possible to your bore may be difficult.
nope_noway_@reddit
If only 9mm was in stock:(
Trollygag@reddit
You could add a handle and a threaded end so it can double as a cleaning rod.
SuperThiccBoi2002@reddit
Great idea, bend your alignment rod and then blame the dealer when you get a baffle strike lmao
Sblzrd65@reddit
These are g2g
SirFunke@reddit
Hey, just wanted to say I've been running your hand stop for a while and I love it.
Ike_From_Kratos_DG@reddit (OP)
Hell yeah! I'm glad ya dig it!
Familiar_Luck_3333@reddit
I have one and I like it a lot
Hammock2Wheels@reddit
any plans for a 10mm/.40sw rod?
Ike_From_Kratos_DG@reddit (OP)
Yep! Probably this summer. We have 8.6/.338, 9mm, .270 & .45 in the works that should be ready in 4-10 weeks. 10mm/.40 would be next.
Hammock2Wheels@reddit
just bought a 10mm rod from mcmaster last night for about the same price. this sale is definitely a good deal for a carbon rod.
