A friend in the UK got absolutely mangled because a car pulled out on him without looking. Hit the car and went over the top of it. The driver admitted to the police she'd not looked.

As we in the colonies are learning, watching the mother ship devolve into chaos, all it takes is killing the right wealthy person in vehicular manslaughter to get the laws changed.
Maybe, if you just happen to have a connection to your target and don't care about getting caught. As a rando you're gonna have a challenging time (to say the least) trying to track down someone like that and catch them out in the open / vulnerable. It's possible to kill someone in a car at lower speeds, but less likely - the bigger and faster your vehicle, the better (you'd want to be going at least 40mph, since 90+% of collision accidents between cars and people result in the person's death at those speeds). But if you don't want to get caught, you'd need to get one unregistered / plateless somehow, not to mention evading any potential law enforcement in the area on the escape.
assault with a deadly weapon + a couple other felonies I'm sure. But attempted murder it is fortunately not.
If he continued to try to drive on top of the person I'd say yeah. You'd have to prove his necessarily intended to KILL the person which it doesn't seem is the case. If the kid died though it'd absolutely be first degree murder.
No no no. The kid rang his doorbell. So it's ok. The guy is even giving the kid a chance to disappear before the cops come. So he doesn't get in trouble for someone else ringing a doorbell.
And then walk up to the kid all chest puffed out. Fucker needs to tangle with an adult human that has no qualms about making him regret his entire personality and being.

The more you ride around these bikes the more you wish they actually were illegal, but it still doesn't excuse hitting people and nearly killing them with your car.
I don't think thats the issue. I ride a regular bike, max i can do its 12 miles an hour. Not sure if this is Surron or one of its competitors but those can go up to 40mph and customized ones can do 70mph. The issue is people who ride these at crazy speeds on areas meant for walking pedestrians or regular bicycles. You could technically make the bike legal if you register it and get a license in some countries but that basically treats it as a moped.
I'm fine with bikes, but nobody riding a push bike or walking along a path likes to be around a Surron or other huge, motorbike-styled ebike when they come by. They are electric motorcycles with tiny pedals that the riders never use simply so they can pretend to be bicycles.
Yup. Off-road vehicle that gets to 50 pretty quick once a wires been cut.
Theyâre not made here. Coming from china. Not that any of that matters because nobody cares about anything nowadays. đ
Mate if you look to where the car was headed, there's a fenced off construction area, noone would be pulling up to a fenced off area that fast, this is a deliberate serve and hit
"I wasn't even there!" I know kids saying that are doing what's called lying. Doesn't excuse hitting them with the car, but I'd love a different view showing actual distances and speeds better. Â
Why would he be doing what he's doing if "I know you weren't" comports with reality? Why would this kid know exactly what happened, and that this guy is mad about it if he doesn't know or wasn't involved. It doesn't add up.

I feel like that's what reddit is missing, here. Audi guy has got to be missing a few neurons to not realize he just tried to murder someone's kid. How does he think that's going to go for him with the parents?
Oh he knew. That's why he tried to make the kid feel at fault and to "vanish" before the cops arrived so he could flee the scene. Really glad other adults were there to check him on his bullshit.

I so want to take a sledgehammer to his completely illegal car with a few love taps to his head. Or better, cuff him for aggravated assault and put him in Gen pop
Brilliant! As a 45 yr old cyclist, no I don't believe I do. However I am interested to know how you think the car (with magnificent brakes, an early warning collision detection system and a clearly functioning adult at the wheel) turning into the child on an open corner with wide sightlines in the bright sunlight is in any way the child's fault. The collision was entirely intentional, as borne out in the resulting investigation.
Some people are lost, there is no sense in even having discourse. Just silently ignore them and theyâll weed themselves out. Someone crazy fuck with a conscience might weed them out too.
Forget the context of the doorbell or whatever was said between the two, I just know as a bike rider, I would have stayed in the grass until both cars passed. He never should have pulled out there to begin with.
If I had to guess the fact the kid immediately starting professing his innocence and that he wasn't even there tells me he probably WAS there and probably DID do something lol. Regardless of that the dude in the car is completely unhinged and deserves to go to jail for attempted murder.
Any action camera can be mounted to a helmet with either a strap or adhesive mount. The latest GoPro Hero is super small and light with great quality but doesn't have a removable battery so you're limited to just over an hour of footage. Just get something with image stabilization and 4k if you want to be able to make out plates. I use a helmet mounted Hero 11 myself. I think having a camera visible makes drivers a more accountable and thus safer and respectful, but the prick in this video is a prime example of that not always being the case.
The man hunted a child down with his car and used his car to intentionally assault the child.
What a cunt.
Given the context, with the kids allegedly ding-dong-ditching the manâs house, the clip starts for us with the kid zipping through a field and coming to a brief stop before entering a presumably safe part of the road way. We see the black Audi behind the red car take a very intentional left turn and (off camera) drive straight into the kid. Immediately the kid starts saying âI didnât do anythingâ and âI wasnât even thereâ, which paints a clear picture that these two have encountered.
Now, considering the fact that they are just now exchanging pleasantries in the clip, we can safely assume that they did not know each other prior to this altercation. Couple this with the fairly apparent agitation that the child has through out the clip, It starts to paint a picture that the child knew he was being followed and in danger, and that him and the manâs previous interaction was negative in nature.
And then the sociopathic son of a bitch decides to deflect the vehicular assault by telling the child that his vehicle is illegal. The fucking bike isnât inherently illegal, but the bike may have been operated unlawfully. Whatâs illegal is how the fucking car was used to assault a child.
Driver should be sued but I've literally never heard a kid scream "I didn't even do anything, I wasn't there" before anyone said anything and not be guilty as shit lol
Wtf. Even if he did ring the doorbell. That shit doesnt even warrant anything close to running him over. The kid could of been seriously hurt. I got kids now so my thought process works differently now. I would whoop the shit out of that dude.
There is nothing he can possibly say to try and make this a accident if someone sees this, like it a blocked off road with just enough space for his car and even if he tries to say he was pulling in there for an emergency like something falling etc the kid was there for a good amount of time and any normal driver is gonna see him
Saw this today, I undertstood from the article that all he got was a fine. I don't understand, he used his car to purposely hit a kid, there is video and witnesses, surely that is not just a fine?
Kid found out what happens when you play "Ding Dong Ditch" in our modern world. Hopefully, the adult will find out what happens when you purposefully hit a minor with your car.
Guy that intentionally runs over child on bike: "your bike is illegal, you are terrorizing the neighborhood, the police are coming and you better run."
First of all this guy is insane and should be in jail. Second, the kid needs to be better at lying. Saying "I wasn't even there" unprompted is a dead giveaway.
So obviously the driver is at fault but this is why my state is pushing for kids to have to get licenses to ride these things because they don't understand the rules of the road at all. I personally would not stop in the middle of a roadway where an Inattentive driver could hit me when it's safer to be on the other side of the bollards.
He hit this 12 year old kid because as the driver claims the kids are out of control in the neighborhood for ringing his doorbell and running. So this guys answer is to run the kid down in his car.
A grown ass man with a ring door bell ran down a 12 year old for ding dong ditching his house. And apparently it's ok because he only got a $700 fine ($435ish USD). But yes the kids are the ones out of control here.
Gold Coast hospitality boss Howard Wright has been fined for driving in a âdangerous mannerâ after knocking a 12-year-old boy from his electric dirt bike.
Wait, kids causing trouble on SurRons? Shocking. The way the kid immediately shouted "I didn't do nothing" pretty much means he did something. Not justification for running into him, however.
Fair enough⊠no need to apologize but thereâs real stuff here. Whether you want to admit it or not I guess. Def pay attention to it if you can. Could very well be the downfall of this âwonderfulâ country. đ€
There's no journalism there, you can get most the story from the pic and headlines in that rag, particularly bad I had a look at few ' articles' fucking terrible.
A better phrasing to avoid any legal trouble if that is what they are worried about might be "the 58-year old's Audi is shown hitting the boy" or at least "appearing to hit the boy".
if you look to the left when the kid starts to enter the road you can see its fenced/ blocked off and there is clearly no reason to turn . the only reason to turn is to hit the kid. kids better then me i would have knocked the guy on his a----
Depends where you are. But yeah, definitely seen it before. Not sure about the legality, but smaller rural towns I have definitely seen kids riding dirt bikes around.
I personally use an Insta 360 with a helmet adhesive mount, a strap mount, and safety rope. Along with premium lens protection so it doesnât break in a fall and the thermal shield for better thermal dissipation. So if helmet gets damaged, like in the scene above, I can just move to a new helmet right after.
Btw please replace your helmet after a hard accident. The foam only cushions once.
It was a bit pricey but worth the peace of mind in my opinion. Plus it is a great action cam.
In Oz media have to say allegedly until proven otherwise. Most of our news bulltens start with allegedly... The dick was charged $700 in court, so not alleged any more.
Car brain is real. People just accept these enormous risks and think everything else is necessary collateral damage. Pay some goddamn attention where your 2-ton weapon is going.
Couldn't they have gotten around that rule with a phrasing something like: "the 58-year old's Audi is shown hitting the boy" or at least "appearing to hit the boy".
clearly the car driver has no right in any way to run over anyone on a bike of any kind, legal bike or not, adult or child
Just plain deliberate assault and possible attempted murder almost
Totally illegal and should be prosecuted
However, why did the kid get run over - clearly deliberatly, and immediately seem to start shouting that "I wasn;t even there I didn;t even do nothing"
Surely the normal reaction would be "Why did you do that, what was that for" or some such thing
But in this case he seems to know who the driver is, what he is mad about and what happened
maybe he was not the person who did something - but he clearly knew what was going on
sounds like he saw what happened and legged it on his bike (??)
so not guilty in any way - but certainly knows who is and probably why
Australian here: this guy clearly has an English accent he is trying to lose, and he is out to get Aussie kids with his German car. Gotta be a candidate for deporting once they justice system has reviewed the case shown here for whether he has criminal charges to answer for (and the footage appears to indicate he could do).
Why on earth would you think that? You think a grown man collaborated with a child to speed up and hit him with a car? Did you Google anything about this story or are you explaining how misinformation has taken over the world?
Pretty sure thatâs classed as at least assault with a deadly weapon. You can go around knocking kids off their bikes with your car you dickwad. You mind you, am surprised the shit Audi didnât fall apart after that bump.

Attempted murder.

FL-Cracker@reddit
Do you pull out in front of oncoming cars too?
YouKnowMoose@reddit
At this point I'm willing to accept your just trolling.
SparrockC88@reddit
Some people are lost, there is no sense in even having discourse. Just silently ignore them and theyâll weed themselves out. Someone crazy fuck with a conscience might weed them out too.
FL-Cracker@reddit
Forget the context of the doorbell or whatever was said between the two, I just know as a bike rider, I would have stayed in the grass until both cars passed. He never should have pulled out there to begin with.
darforce@reddit
Not sure where you live but anywhere in the IS purposely hitting a child with your car would be years in jail
SurronWarlord@reddit
Attempted murder
Rush-23@reddit
Not even close.
bigred_805@reddit
If I had to guess the fact the kid immediately starting professing his innocence and that he wasn't even there tells me he probably WAS there and probably DID do something lol. Regardless of that the dude in the car is completely unhinged and deserves to go to jail for attempted murder.
Rush-23@reddit
Him and his mate knocked on the guyâs door and ran. His response was a wee bit over the top.
AmphibianNo3122@reddit
Male Karen? I think that guy is a sociopath and needs to be in prison
SparrockC88@reddit
Definitely a sociopath.
Immediate_Pen_251@reddit
Think the driver thought he can do that and get away with it! He totally fucked up with that action.
SparrockC88@reddit
So heâs a restaurant owner? Thats an awful lot like a CEO. đ
Reverend_Wrong@reddit
Any action camera can be mounted to a helmet with either a strap or adhesive mount. The latest GoPro Hero is super small and light with great quality but doesn't have a removable battery so you're limited to just over an hour of footage. Just get something with image stabilization and 4k if you want to be able to make out plates. I use a helmet mounted Hero 11 myself. I think having a camera visible makes drivers a more accountable and thus safer and respectful, but the prick in this video is a prime example of that not always being the case.
Salley_Sue@reddit (OP)
Cheers for this. I do have a shitty dash cam on my handlebars, but I think like you say a more visible option is the go.
Independent_Friend_7@reddit

That is a nice camera. I thought it was a drone at first
Salley_Sue@reddit (OP)
Same, its got some clarity. Seemed to be going so fast I thought it was 2 x speed,
radfordra1@reddit
You shouldn't put a camera on your helmet. Chest yes, on the bike, yes.
Salley_Sue@reddit (OP)
Yeh, I got a dashcam on bike, but its pretty flakey. Looking for a better option.
radfordra1@reddit
Don't think a GoPro, which is what the kid was using is any better. It's just as flakey.
noxiouskarn@reddit
If I was this kid's parent I would go find this man and I would beat the living shit out of him
Salley_Sue@reddit (OP)
Civil action is on its way for sure.
noxiouskarn@reddit
He only got a $700 Australian dollar fine
NoPartyWithoutCake2@reddit
Australia is wild man, that guy should be sentenced to two life prisons!
JEMColorado@reddit
Assault with a deadly weapon, as far as I'm concerned.

Quandledingle_23@reddit
How did he know bro was about to hit him
zighile@reddit
The man should be in prison.
ZincFingerProtein@reddit
Attempted murder. Driver should be in jail.
darforce@reddit
To answer your question any action camera like a GoPro will work or Amazon has knockoffs. You can get a helmet mount
CptAverage@reddit
Whatâs illegal is how the fucking car was used to assault a child.
darforce@reddit
Oh the kid definitely did it but that doesnât give the other guy the right to run him over with a car
thetallestwizard@reddit

timbodacious@reddit
kids fault basically. car had its turn signals on and everything and the bike was hidden by the left side frame post of the cars window
Thefleasknees86@reddit
Driver should be sued but I've literally never heard a kid scream "I didn't even do anything, I wasn't there" before anyone said anything and not be guilty as shit lol
rony_hossain04@reddit
Wtf. Even if he did ring the doorbell. That shit doesnt even warrant anything close to running him over. The kid could of been seriously hurt. I got kids now so my thought process works differently now. I would whoop the shit out of that dude.
alistair1537@reddit
I hope you get a good lawyer... Either of you.
zingzing175@reddit
Wow that's fucking lame, kid was targeted and not an accident. The fucker got a tiny fine and that's it? Wtf....
JesusElSuperstar@reddit
yes the bike is illegal but attempted murder is also illegal.
Successful-Buy1463@reddit
How is that not assault with a deadly weapon you cant just be running people with your vehicle what kind of savage would we live in
thenorthtexan@reddit
There is nothing he can possibly say to try and make this a accident if someone sees this, like it a blocked off road with just enough space for his car and even if he tries to say he was pulling in there for an emergency like something falling etc the kid was there for a good amount of time and any normal driver is gonna see him
yellochocomo@reddit
I really hope he catches jail time
I_like_to_eat_meat@reddit
Saw this today, I undertstood from the article that all he got was a fine. I don't understand, he used his car to purposely hit a kid, there is video and witnesses, surely that is not just a fine?
lkstaack@reddit
Kid found out what happens when you play "Ding Dong Ditch" in our modern world. Hopefully, the adult will find out what happens when you purposefully hit a minor with your car.

First of all this guy is insane and should be in jail. Second, the kid needs to be better at lying. Saying "I wasn't even there" unprompted is a dead giveaway.

Elr0yJetson@reddit
Man, this is fucked up. Iâm sure comments have said this but thatâs pretty much assault with a deadly weapon at the least.
UltraLord667@reddit
Not pretty much. Is.
Jezon@reddit
So obviously the driver is at fault but this is why my state is pushing for kids to have to get licenses to ride these things because they don't understand the rules of the road at all. I personally would not stop in the middle of a roadway where an Inattentive driver could hit me when it's safer to be on the other side of the bollards.
Lost-Dork9827@reddit
He hit this 12 year old kid because as the driver claims the kids are out of control in the neighborhood for ringing his doorbell and running. So this guys answer is to run the kid down in his car.
A grown ass man with a ring door bell ran down a 12 year old for ding dong ditching his house. And apparently it's ok because he only got a $700 fine ($435ish USD). But yes the kids are the ones out of control here.
Available-Elk-1438@reddit
So the kid was playing with the manâs doorbell???
Do people really not have better things to do now and days???
Letâs go ring doorbells!!!
I can understand how you get ran over
You became a target and it was all your faultâŠ

TMbiker2000@reddit
Wait, kids causing trouble on SurRons? Shocking. The way the kid immediately shouted "I didn't do nothing" pretty much means he did something. Not justification for running into him, however.

What the actual fuck has happened to "Journalism" these days...
"shows the moment the boy was allegedly hit by the 58-year-oldâs Audi A5"
How is that "allegedly" there is video footage of him hitting the kid and then getting out of the car...
He struck the kid on the bike with his car and there is video evidence of the crime.
Fucking joke.
mindfulofidiots@reddit
There's no journalism there, you can get most the story from the pic and headlines in that rag, particularly bad I had a look at few ' articles' fucking terrible.
BigBlueMan118@reddit
A better phrasing to avoid any legal trouble if that is what they are worried about might be "the 58-year old's Audi is shown hitting the boy" or at least "appearing to hit the boy".
thereal_greg6@reddit
âThere is no suggestion that the hit was deliberate or intentional on Mr Wrightâs part.â - Sorry WHAT?

what a fucker. like you are always supposed to look if you turn. for exactly this reason. that aside this was obviously done on purpouse.
Superb-Pattern-1253@reddit
if you look to the left when the kid starts to enter the road you can see its fenced/ blocked off and there is clearly no reason to turn . the only reason to turn is to hit the kid. kids better then me i would have knocked the guy on his a----
DoubleOwl7777@reddit
yeah, again, i said that in my last sentence.
neurotekk@reddit
He is not turning. He drives there with the intention to hit the kid.

That cam looks like the color profile of a gopro.
Costco has some great deals on the 13 black, or you can find anything 11 and up on eBay for decent prices. The 8 is also pretty good.
Personally I want to switch to the osmo action line but thatâs mostly because I have other osmo cameras and accessories.
lostharbor@reddit
Just take a GoPro and mount it.
chessset5@reddit
Getting a used one with swappable batteries are good.
chessset5@reddit
I personally use an Insta 360 with a helmet adhesive mount, a strap mount, and safety rope. Along with premium lens protection so it doesnât break in a fall and the thermal shield for better thermal dissipation. So if helmet gets damaged, like in the scene above, I can just move to a new helmet right after.
Btw please replace your helmet after a hard accident. The foam only cushions once.
It was a bit pricey but worth the peace of mind in my opinion. Plus it is a great action cam.

âFootage⊠shows the moment the boy was allegedly hit by the 58-year-oldâs Audi A5 in Paradise Pointâ
What in Odinâs name is âallegedlyâ doing in that description!
Salley_Sue@reddit (OP)
In Oz media have to say allegedly until proven otherwise. Most of our news bulltens start with allegedly... The dick was charged $700 in court, so not alleged any more.
jacckthegripper@reddit
They only find him$700 when this is clearly assault with a deadly weapon
DrDerpberg@reddit
Car brain is real. People just accept these enormous risks and think everything else is necessary collateral damage. Pay some goddamn attention where your 2-ton weapon is going.
andehboston@reddit
The flip side is you can run the prick over for a low low fee of $700. I'd pay that.
BigBlueMan118@reddit
Couldn't they have gotten around that rule with a phrasing something like: "the 58-year old's Audi is shown hitting the boy" or at least "appearing to hit the boy".
ilikecornalot@reddit
Absolutely a âhospitality bossâ will shake your hand and make you feel good after almost accidentally killing you

923591@reddit
Adult is definitely in the wrong. Why does the kid say âI wasnât even thereâ though? Need more context on what thatâs about.
widnesmiek@reddit
No sure of what is happening here
clearly the car driver has no right in any way to run over anyone on a bike of any kind, legal bike or not, adult or child
But in this case he seems to know who the driver is, what he is mad about and what happened
maybe he was not the person who did something - but he clearly knew what was going on
sounds like he saw what happened and legged it on his bike (??)
so not guilty in any way - but certainly knows who is and probably why
car driver still needs locking up
herbertwilsonbeats@reddit
So what justifies being ran other? Stealing? Attempted murder? The kids friends knocked and ran on his house. That is all
widnesmiek@reddit
Exactly - whatever happened the driver is at fault not the kid
and even if this was the kid that did "it" then running him over was excessive
which is what I said
herbertwilsonbeats@reddit
Yup it was a long winded way of getting there. But only attempted murder of my family would justify hitting a 12 year old in my carâŠ
BigBlueMan118@reddit
Australian here: this guy clearly has an English accent he is trying to lose, and he is out to get Aussie kids with his German car. Gotta be a candidate for deporting once they justice system has reviewed the case shown here for whether he has criminal charges to answer for (and the footage appears to indicate he could do).
herbertwilsonbeats@reddit
