I have no idea, I felt so bad for the sandwich I had to share it. Then he put butter on the char, which made it look even worse.

C'Mon man.... Everyone knows you need to put the grilled cheese on a warm pan. Not a Mauna Kea is erupting - pan. You melt the butter into the bread and keep the heat on medium. Depending on cheese and fillings, I sometimes take 40-45min on a couple of grilled cheeses.

You got to nurse 'em, not kick 'em like they owe you 12000€.
