What is the most luxurious hair salon experience in Dallas? I want to be spoiled.

I’ve been looking for a new hair salon and I cannot find one that I like. I’m open to spending a lot of money just for a great experience. TIA

I really like Lure Salon by West Village!!
Spare_Ad_9657@reddit
Muse
MysteryMaven2024@reddit (OP)
I’ve heard they’re good. Have you been there before? Do you recommend a certain stylist?
anewtdetail@reddit
I go to Muse in Dallas. The stylists do a good job but I wouldn’t say it’s a luxurious experience. It’s a standard salon experience.
bombassgal@reddit
I go to the muse and use Nicole! I don’t get color but have insanely thick hair. She always does a hair mask and scalp massage
wasabipeas1996@reddit
I think they means muse in Dallas, Nicole at THE muse (Korean salon in Carrollton) is now at her solo suite in flowermound
bombassgal@reddit
No I mean The Muse in Dallas too! Must be two Nicoles, because I have an appt with her next week
wasabipeas1996@reddit
Ohhh what a coincidence! I have gone to both salons!
Spare_Ad_9657@reddit
I go to Alex for Balayage color. They have at least 10 stylists I think and most are really good. I also go to Jose Eber in Plano for cut. They do really good cuts and styles, but I don’t care for their coloring.
MysteryMaven2024@reddit (OP)
Thank you! I’m not looking for coloring I’ll definitely take a look!!
Vast-Upstairs-5832@reddit
How much is everyone paying for a haircut and full bayalage? if you don’t mind me asking?
My haircut used to be $90 but it goes up $5 every six months. Currently at $150 before tips and I think I need something cheaper. She’s pricing herself out for me. I don’t think it’s feasible to pay $150 for a trim pretty much. She barely cuts. I’m not getting anything extra. The head massage is little to non existent now. Barely any product is used in my head.
For bayalahe, I’m paying around $500. I have long hair and I think it’s fair
qolace@reddit
$70 for a haircut, $300 starting for a balayage but I've paid up to $400 sometimes. Also have long ass hair.
Vast-Upstairs-5832@reddit
Where do you go?
qolace@reddit
Bonnie Swan in Oak Lawn! @bonnie.swan.hmua
grubbalubbadubdub@reddit
I know this is a silly question, but genuinely curious. Why is it going up $5 every 6 months? Is she charging you per inch or hair on your head?
My cuts are usually $80-90. For balayage, i usually spend somewhere in the $250 range, but I don’t have really long hair.
Vast-Upstairs-5832@reddit
It goes up $5 for everybody. I have no idea why, she doesn’t state why she raises prices in her mass email.
jo4890@reddit
Geez, $500? Prices have gone way up. I just do my roots these days but for cut I pay $85
Vast-Upstairs-5832@reddit
It’s $475 and I tip 20% which bring me over $500 tbh. Sometimes I tip 15%. The tipping is what gets me bc they’re already expensive and they set their own price but I don’t want to be that person that doesn’t tip
KaleCompetitive552@reddit
I really like Voss Salon. I pay around $100 at the las colinas location, haven’t gone to dallas. But it’s a cute salon and great experience.
scstreet@reddit
I pay 90 for a women’s cut at MANE at mockingbird station
bigdeallikewhoaNOT@reddit
That’s insane
scstreet@reddit
I only go three times a year so it isn’t so bad!
captain_uranus@reddit
With or without tip?
bigdeallikewhoaNOT@reddit
I pay 350 every six weeks for a root touch up and extensions maintenance and glaze
Vast-Upstairs-5832@reddit
Holy moly, I go every six months bc that’s all I can afford and have time to
elisabethofaustria@reddit
After tax and tip: $70 for haircut and blowout, $350 for full balayage.
jillsvag@reddit
The guy I used to use was $70 wash and cut. He barely spends any time cutting. $220 bayalage. Root touch-up $110. My hair looked fabulous! I quit him and went natural color. I now go to a place that washes and cuts for $40.
oberstofsunshine@reddit
My guy is super reasonable. Joel Moses Hair on Instagram. Hair cut around $80. His booking portal says balayage starts at $180
olgypolgy@reddit
Duo salon by galleria is my favorite! Amazing people that make you feel good in your hair
sswilliams19@reddit
I go to Amanda and the entire team is incredible!!!
olgypolgy@reddit
She makes you feel right at home, right??
MysteryMaven2024@reddit (OP)
Ohhh I think I’ve heard of this one. Do you have a stylist you like?
olgypolgy@reddit
They’re all exceptional, literally go above and beyond. It depends on the type of hair you have and what you want to get cause each of them have different specialties. Amanda and Wendy have been in the business for decades so they’re amazing at everything but Wendy focuses more on curly hair and Amanda is amazing at color.
It just depends on what you want to get :)
MysteryMaven2024@reddit (OP)
I just have very long wavy thick hair and am looking for a women’s haircut.
Existentialist@reddit
You may want to go to a curl specialist, I’ve had good recommendations for a guy on ig gleovescurls - I see one person for a cut another for a color.
olgypolgy@reddit
Anyone you book will do you great! :) maybe Wendy??

Johnny Rodriguez salon
MysteryMaven2024@reddit (OP)
Oh I haven’t heard of this one. What do you like about it?
ylseeb-map@reddit
I wouldn’t call it a luxurious salon experience, but it’s nice enough and can get pricey. I really like both Roman and Dianne, they’re married and I see them interchangeably, but they’re on the higher end of pricing. They’ve done a lot of training sessions in the past for up and coming stylists around the country, so I really trust them since I never know what I want. I think they’re only at the legacy location though and not the Dallas location.
Littlecat10@reddit
I have gone there for years (the one on lovers). I love the ladies I see there, obviously, but I would not call it a luxe experience. It’s nice enough, but nothing crazy special, and it gets very crowded/loud in there!
Liberteabelle1@reddit
Is it expensive?
Littlecat10@reddit
It depends on who you see. Women’s haircuts range from $70 - $300 (the most expensive from Johnny Rodriguez himself). Mine is $110 now, although it was definitely way cheaper when I started.
Liberteabelle1@reddit
Thanks!
coco_ann@reddit
Tangerine is where the Dallas Cowgirls go.
MysteryMaven2024@reddit (OP)
That’s the first place I went and I really did not like it. The salon was dirty and my hair was uneven. I had to cut one side to match the other when I got home.
Dear_Boysenberry96@reddit
Which salon was this?
MysteryMaven2024@reddit (OP)
Tangerine
spidergwen1962@reddit
I didn’t have a bad experience, but it was average/mediocre and not worth the price tag imo
Sialocin@reddit
Frustrated with Tangerine (near North Park) and will not be going again. I asked for total dye red on all of my hair. Nothing fancy, no balayage or anything. We agreed on rose gold, so I was expecting it to be red tinted or pinky/strawberry, right? I walked out of there with BLOND HIGHLIGHTS. And was charged 30% MORE than quoted at my consultation even when it took less time than planned!!
MysteryMaven2024@reddit (OP)
Yes that’s the one I went to!
onepmtues@reddit
Oh no! I’ve been going to Tangerine on Walnut Hill for a couple of years now. I haven’t had a bad experience and don’t think it’s dirty. :/
Leather_Ad_1816@reddit
Tangerine is really great all the stylists there know what they are doing but it is pricey so like you said if you want to pay. Also, you can make it a full day pamper, the nail salon next door is amazing as well. Then you can finish it off at a nearby restaurant or do happy hour in between Thirsty Lion is my go to especially the patio bar.
GeneralHipsterTrash@reddit
I agree I had an awful experience there.
txchiefsfan02@reddit
Try Salon Culture on Walnut Hill

Hair by Valentino in oak Cliff
Existentialist@reddit
Songbird society. I see one girl for color, another for a cut. They are truly talented at doing hair, and the experience is an under stated luxury. They are also very on trend which I love. I imagine there are more posh and spa like salons, but I’m unsure of the quality of hair service. Their service, vibe/experience, and quality of hair cut is unbeatable. It’s definitely worth visiting.

House on Lovers
ThatResponse4808@reddit
Idk if you would consider it luxury, I usually follow my hair people, but I love ERA Salon and my stylist is Britteny. Super cute and nice place with drinks and a decent location.
