This thread is for simple questions that don't warrant their own thread (although we strongly suggest checking the sidebar and the wiki before posting!). Please don't post involved questions that are better suited to a [Build Help], [Build Ready] or [Build Complete] post. Examples of questions suitable for here:
- Is this RAM compatible with my motherboard?
- I'm thinking of getting a ≤$300 graphics card. Which one should I get?
- I'm on a very tight budget and I'm looking for a case ≤$50
Remember that Discord is great places to ask quick questions as well: http://www.reddit.com/r/buildapc/wiki/livechat

Ok, sort of 2 questions 1st and point me elsewhere, I bought a cheap TRENDNET TEW-831DR/A Router. I have an ethernet port in wall, previously did straight into PC. My SingleDigits Provider had to replace computer MAC address to Router. Anyway my PC is sort of unusable I get DNS FAILURE THEN 2-4 seconds later reloads. speedtest shows great Download/Upload and Ping, but download latency Ok mostly < 20, but repeated tests upload latency shows 400ms? Shot in the dark if anyone saw this?
Second Bonus question prices in flux in a bad way :( no real gaming huge 8K+ tabs on an i5-4440. Got very helpful advice to go with 8500G, for a smallish amount $30-50 could go 8600G from what I've seen higher speed all full speed cores and more PCIE LINES 10 vs 16 "10 PCIe 4.0 lanes available - split x4/x4/x2, with 4 lanes dedicated to the graphics x16 slot. This is as opposed to the Phoenix 1 CPUs (8600G/8700G and their variants), which have 16 PCIe 4.0 lanes available (split x8/x4/x4.) " I was looking at the ASRock B650 Wifi, https://pcpartpicker.com/list/RjvVwY thank JediGRONDMaster how to know where PCIE lines go. I know 8 on 8600G go to empty graphics but to extra 2 feed the other M2 slot or? Appreciate any thoughts or pointing to other Reddits,
jamvanderloeff@reddit
For first issue, first thing to look at would be the router's status pages and blinking lights to see if there's a hint of which part of the connection's dropping
For the PCIe split, the numbers there would usually be either going to first PCIe slot (usually GPU)/first M.2/second M.2, or could be first PCIe slot/first M.2/another x4 PCIe, and looks like the board in your list is doing the latter (they give you a nice block diagram on the manual page 10), so with the 8500G you would get x4 to the GPU, x4 to the first M.2, x2 to the PCIe x4 slot, and your other M.2 slots are coming off the chipset's PCIe so doesn't change with which CPU you use, second M.2 gets x4, third M.2 gets x2. 8600G would bump you up to x8 on the GPU and x4 on that PCIe x4 slot, so probably doesn't make a practical difference for most people.
KnowledgeGuy10@reddit
If you see this on router ethernet so wifi not involved it's a Wall ethernet port serviced by T1s or Fiber into the building so no lights. ISP Supervisor wasn't helpful I they put in computer mac no router better. Only 1 try with router in place 50 ping test 3 = 6% dropped packets vs 0 no router, any thoughts?

Can i use antifreeze for my water cooler? If yes, should I dilute it, and if so by how much?
This is my water cooler: https://enermaxusa.com/products/liqmax-iii-360-argb
TemptedTemplar@reddit
Thats a closed loop system, its not intended to need fluid changes or refilling.
Also, it may already be using a Glycol mixture. Though thats not exactly something manufacturers advertise.
Misterhungery21@reddit
but theoretically, could I? Mainly have to do this due to high temps on my CPU, and the water cooler only seems to be blowing hot air out of the fan closest to the tubes. Just need to check if the amount of water inside it is the issue or whether we just have to replace it as a whole.
TemptedTemplar@reddit
Maybe? You wouldn't know for sure until you take it apart and see if you can even seal the system back up.
I'd just vote to replace it and save yourself the effort. Or even try reaching out to enermax's customer support and see if they have an idea or offer to fix it.

Hello, question about testing the ASRock x870 Pro RS Wifi without a CPU... I have all the parts for my new PC, but waiting on the CPU still. So I've put the RAM and M2 in, plugged in the motherboard power to the PSU. Triple checked the connections for case power button and light etc. When I turn on the PSU switch, the motherboard LEDs immediately light up, so I know it's getting power. When I hit the power button on the case, NONE of the 4 indicator lights on the MB light up! There are tiny LEDs for CPU, RAM, HDD, and something else. Supposed to be either red/orange/green based on status, but there is no light on any of them. I would expect CPU to be red, and RAM green?? Or do I need the CPU physically installed before any of the lights work?
Again, I've checked case power connections to MB against case and MB manuals many times. I'm hoping for some confirmation if the MB indicator lights SHOULD light up without a CPU. I don't want to go installing the CPU and cooler if the MB is dead etc. Thank you!
Protonion@reddit
Yes. The motherboard has no way to test the RAM, storage etc without a CPU, because they are handled directly by the CPU. You've seen that the motherboard can get power and that's about as much as you can test without a CPU.
spacescapes@reddit
Thank you for confirming. That all makes complete sense and now I have some peace of mind until the CPU arrives.

Will this 1TB Silicon Power Nvme ssd for $50 be good just for gaming? I won't be booting on it just to play games on it and storing them and I am trying to stay under a $60 budget.

Is it silly to buy 64 GB of RAM, if it has a pretty big discount, to upgrade from 32 GB, even though I do not need it right now?
Say, for "future-proofing?"
I knew it was silly when building my PC a year ago and I went with 32. I'm good with it. But I was at MC and saw the same RAM I have, open box, for $160. GSkill Z5 Trident Neo 6000Mhz, CL30.
I was tempted, but I don't need it. But it got me thinking if I should still keep my eyes peeled for deals on 64GB of RAM for the future. I know it was silly to buy 64GB when building a gaming PC, but is it still silly once you have your build done and come across a sale price like that?
bestanonever@reddit
For gaming right now, it's useless for 90% of the cases, except for Flight Simulator 2020/2024 and very heavy modded Cities Skylines and other games like that. If you are just playing the great mayority of games with light mods or no mods at all, just stay with 32GB and use the money towards more important upgrades like a better GPU/CPU or a bigger NVMe SSD, instead.
By the time we'd need 48GB/64GB, they are going to be pretty cheap, anyway.
TemptedTemplar@reddit
No, DDR5 doubled the default capacity per rank of DDR4. So 32GB is the "basic" amount, having 64GB now is no different than running 32GB in a older system.
Not to mention, lots of games these days are crazy optimized. Having all of that extra memory just means stuff should run as well as possible.

Some months ago I bought a new Keychron keyboard. I thought I just needed to get used to it but no, I cannot game on this keyboard for very low before my wrist starts hurting. I did not have this problem with my old keyboard, I could game for 10 hours per day on my old one without wrist problems.
What's the most likely culprit? The height of the keyboard? The switches? The custom MOA keycaps I installed? Something else?
TemptedTemplar@reddit
Do you still have the old keyboard or remember what model it was? It would be simple enough to compare the height or resting angle difference.
WeeziMonkey@reddit
I am 90% sure my old keyboard was the Steelseries Apex M500 with Cherry MX Red switches. The one I use right now is the Keychron V6 QMK with also linear switches and custom MOA profile keycaps.
Protonion@reddit
Maybe try getting a wrist rest for it? Keychron even sells their own matching ones.
n7_trekkie@reddit
Well what keychron, and what old keyboard?
WeeziMonkey@reddit
I am 90% sure my old keyboard was the Steelseries Apex M500 with Cherry MX Red switches. The one I use right now is the Keychron V6 QMK with also linear switches and custom MOA profile keycaps.
n7_trekkie@reddit
So it could be the front height of the keychron. That'd be my guess

I've seen an app here mentioned for getting notifications when something goes on sale or maybe in stock? Anyone know what it's called?

Any specific recommendations for an OLED monitor? I was looking at the 27” 1440p LG OLED for $600 at Best Buy but then I also saw the 32” LG OLED that has 4K modes and 1080p modes at various refresh rates. Does anyone have either of these / ideas for a different brand?
I typically just stick to LG monitors and TVs lol

If I forgot to flash a new motherboard with an update that supports a newer CPU and power on with said CPU installed would there be any risk of either the CPU or motherboard being bricked?

I'm looking for a mobo with wifi/BT that is:
This is mostly because PC Part Picker keeps flagging my build with potential compatibility issues if the mobo ships with an older version of the BIOS. But I don't have a donor CPU available if I need to update the BIOS in order to use the Ryzen 5.
Background: I know a fair bit about computers but I've never built my own gaming PC. This is a project I'm working on with my 13yo son.
Appreciate any advice or tips!

Any B550 motherboard you can buy today will be compatible with the 5600X since it's one of the launch 5000 series CPUs, so unless you're buying a very (VERY) old stock B450 motherboard or a 5700X3D instead of the 5600X, there should be no issues there. Here are some suggestions.
c3rbutt@reddit
Great, thanks! I'll stick with B550 motherboards then. Appreciate the clarification and the suggestions.

"Memory Context Restore" doesn't work with my Asus ROG Strix RX 570 4GB GPU; any fixes?
I have an MSI PRO B650-P WIFI and if memory training is skipped then the RX 570 is completely not recognized. The BIOS doesn't recognize it (it won't use it as a display and it gives a VGA error light if the iGPU is disabled), and it is totally absent from Device Manager in Windows.
Resetting the CMOS works once because it skips memory training for that boot, but then fails the following boot (after a full shut down at least; restarting works fine).
None of the combinations of graphics settings in the BIOS helped, and neither did setting the PCIE version to 3.0.
Previously I had an R9 280 installed which didn't have this problem, so I have hope that maybe a GPU firmware update could fix it. (Yes these are old cards but I barely game and they were free.)

Hi, is there any issues I should know before I get an Ryzen 5 7600X? I just want it for 1080p gaming and I'm upgrading from an i7 2600. I have an RTX 4060 8GB. I will be able to upgrade to a better CPU later on this platform? Am I ok to get one of the cheaper motherboards and 32GB of cheap RAM too? I have no idea what I'm doing so any advise would be appreciated.
n7_trekkie@reddit
The 5700x3d is about as fast as the 7600, and it's $150 on AliExpress
You should also know about the 7500F, which is the 7600 with no igpu. That's like $130 on AliExpress
LittleSewerSlug@reddit
Thanks I will look into it. Although your link does not seem related to this?

Difficult-Plankton30@reddit
Will Windows 11 Reset in place or through recovery media be able to erase and reset Windows 11 drivers while keeping programs and personal user files? In other words, I intend to upgrade chipset from AM4 and 5950x CPU to AM5 and 7800X3D but I do not want to do a full wipe of my SSD for a fully clean install
djGLCKR@reddit
Just swap the drive to the new motherboard. The change in hardware will deactivate Windows, so gotta keep that in mind, especially if you're using a OEM license (you'll need a new one). You can check which license type you currently have by using the "slmgr /dli" command in a command prompt or Powershell window. The second line in the pop-up box will tell you the license type (RETAIL/OEM_XX Channel).
Normally, Windows is capable of adjusting to a sudden change in hardware by downloading most of the required basic drivers, with the best course of action being (comparing with the auto-installed and) downloading and installing the latest drivers from your motherboard manufacturer's support page (chipset drivers are best downloaded directly from AMD), then uninstalling the old drivers if needed.
Difficult-Plankton30@reddit
Wow what a great answer, because that is exactly what I prefered, which is not to wipe the entire drive and having to reinstall programs.
So if, after the hardware upgrade, I reset Windows but choose to keep apps (+ deal with activation), then uninstall the old AMD chipset drivers and install the chipset drivers for my new AM5 system, it would be ok in terms of not having conflicting drivers or otherwise reminants that impact performance?
djGLCKR@reddit
YMMV, but it should work okay™.
TemptedTemplar@reddit
Windows installs tie their installation license to the hardware ID of your motherboard.
Swapping out both the motherboard and CPU generally invalidates the install as its effectively a whole new PC now.
You might be able to repair the install and get it working, but the the easiest method would be performing a clean install on a separate drive and using that new install to access your files on the old one.
Regardless, repairs and new installs can be done via the same media installation tool from a USB thumbdrive;

Is it possible to replace the fans on an AIO with any fans you want? If so, what do I have to look after to make sure it's compatible?
Protonion@reddit
99% of the time AIO fans are the exact same parts as case fans. A 240mm radiator is just two 120mm case fans (2x120=240), 280mm radiators are two 140mm fans, and 360mm radiators are three 120mm fans. You buy any case fans of the right size, screw out the radiator fans, and screw in the case fans. That's it.
Outside-Statement211@reddit
Hey guys hope this is a pretty simple one? I currently have a full custom liquid loop running a 4090 and an i9 14900ks(after bios update wasn't used before so all good), running a 450mm rad, seems to get pretty hot (hot components haha I know), would it be a good idea to get a second radiator installed? If so how much would it help, the guys who built it for me are saying it won't improve temps much?
TemptedTemplar@reddit
More radiator space would help, but its going to provide diminishing returns after a certain point unless you can increase the the flow rate or surface area of the blocks on the GPU and CPU.
https://youtu.be/u6WDvzlmtSM?si=8pPVZoU4pschh2yK&t=29
Outside-Statement211@reddit
Atm when under load Im sitting at 75-90C CPU temp (jumps around) which in turn makes my fans pretty loud, and my coolant is sitting at around 42-44C, I know it's fine for the components, but would really like to take the temp down if I can.
TemptedTemplar@reddit
Well another radiator and some more fans would help, but beyond that you would need to look into more aggressive cooling techniques. Like external air conditioners or chillers to chill the air further before it reaches the PC, connecting the radiators to the case to further expand your heat dissipation potential, expanding your liquid cooling options, or go wild with miniature phase state coolers.
Outside-Statement211@reddit
Thanks so much in my original question I misspoke, it's a 360mm 54mm thick rad that I currently have, I will have a look at my options to add some more, thanks again!

Just build a new PC, whenever windows turns of the screen (not sleep) my PSU (Corsiar RM850e) starts to give off a coil whine. I've fixed the issue by setting the sleep and turn off display to the same time but just wondering what is causing this?
TemptedTemplar@reddit
My best guess would be the PSU is turning off its fan, going into the stealth or zero RPM; when the PC is going to sleep.
Perhaps the noise is there all the time and the fan moving simply covers it up entirely?
DaddySoldier@reddit
Which 1TB ssd should i get? They are the same price. Between Samsung 990 EVO and Western Digital SN580. They both have up/downs in benchmarks so i'm not sure which is better. I want something that will last a long time.
thebadhorse@reddit
samsung.
TemptedTemplar@reddit
The SN850 or the SN850X
And likewise, the 990 EVO or EVO plus
Because the regualr 990 EVO is only 5000Mb/s read 4000Mb/s write, while the 850 and 850x are 7000/5300.
Same longevity but the WD is significantly faster.
Now, if you're looking at the SN850x and 990 Evo Plus, I would recommend the Kingston Fury Renegade instead. ~10% more expensive for 40% more Terabyte written capacity. A massive addition to the lifespan.

I have a HP Omen prebuilt from 2020, with a 2080 reference, 500w psu and i7-8700 cpu. I’m noticing it start to struggle with more modern titles at 1440p, any tips for component upgrades/parts to switch out?
bestanonever@reddit
Not sure how big the case is for that one, but I'd start with a more powerful PSU to get a more powerful GPU later on. You can use both a CPU and GPU upgrade, to be honest, but that may require a new case first, if a stronger PSU doesn't fit there. I'd get a 750W quality PSU or higher.
C_Tone@reddit
Thanks, the case seems pretty large I can take a photo of it later today, and for the cpu upgrade I’d have to swap the motherboard out too right?
bestanonever@reddit
Yeah. You'd need a new motherboard, DDR5 RAM and a new CPU. I recommend going with Am5.
Nepusona@reddit
This is my third time putting thermal paste, but I am always scared... On my LGA 1151 I used a single dot in the middle as some videos showed and some people also recommended it, but what about now? LGA 1700, does the single dot still work?
Protonion@reddit
LGA 1700 is big enough that a dot in the middle might not cover it properly. I'd do a thin line along it. But realistically it really doesn't matter that much as long as the paste is there. See around 3:50 in this video.
UnderstandingSea2127@reddit
No-no-no - forget about dots.
Spread it thin across the CPU IHS. Use a small spatula - you can make one yourself out of anything.
Remove the excess from corners, so it won't get pushed outside when the pressure is applied. It won't harm anything, but it's just messy.
OolonCaluphid@reddit
I do a bit of a line. It's really not worth overthinking, you just need enough.

Appropriate DDR5 RAM speed for 12600K in an Asus PRIME Z790-P WIFI mobo? Is there a "sweet spot" nowadays? Thanks.

As I understand, for Intel you just want the fastest speed with the lowest timings.

Does anyone have suggestions for some sort of bracket or hook that can be placed on a desk to route cables from speakers/mouse/keyboard/etc?
Also what are the most common 120 mm case fans these days (that are actually worth buying)? Currently using the Corsair magnetic ones, which are admittedly pretty great, but I HATE trying to accommodate the fan controller with its unreasonably short power and mobo cables.
UnderstandingSea2127@reddit
You can get extension cables for anything these days.
You can use your monitors cable management system (if it has any - like a hole in the stand, etc.) to collect the cables together. Don't be afraid to use monitors USB hub either - connect KBM to it and throw one cable to your PC.
Coolman_Rosso@reddit
Unfortunately I do not have any downstream USB ports on my monitor

I'm looking for a graphics card to match my Ryzen 5 2600 CPU. What sort of price range/range of cards should I be looking at? I don't plan on upgrading CPU any time soon so don't want any future proofing: just a GPU with similar performance to the CPU, or slightly better if there's better value.
bestanonever@reddit
At 1080p, the RX 6600 lineup or RTX 3060s are a good match and would play any kind of modern game with moderate settings.

my mobo (msi b450 tomahawk) does not have enough space for a m2 slot (already in use), im looking to buy a pcie x4 adapter (since gpu takes up the x16 slot).
i was looking at the mobo manual & online searches, some people say it may not be compatible because something may takeover the x4 adapter slot (but i couldnt find anything on it in the manual, so i assume it would be cleared to go for)
can somebody help me in understanding if i would be able to use a x4 adapter or should i try a m2 usb adapter enclosure instead.
im running m2 nvme, hdd (sata) & ssd (sata). with the m2 slot taken, it disables sata5/sata6.
thank you.
Protonion@reddit
Using the x4 slot will disable two of the other smaller PCIe slots but that's it, nothing else gets disabled. So you're good to go. Note that the slot is only PCIe 2.0 x4, so your M.2 drive will be limited to half the speed compared to a PCIe 3.0 slot (or quarter the speed if you buy a PCIe 4.0 SSD) as the bandwidth gets doubled with every PCIe version. It's pretty unlikely that you'd even notice this in normal use, though. 2.0 is still plenty fast.
omgGrim@reddit
Appreciate it! (i forgot to mention about reading the 2.0 vs 3.0 but really appreciate more info about it)

i need some advice please. I found this iDsonix i7000PRO M.2 SSD 1TB for 60 euro, does somebody know why its so op for the price? It got insane speeds, a build in Heatsink, 1200 TBW. Allat for 60 euro just seems sketchy. I mean there has to be something wrong with it that it hides.
jamvanderloeff@reddit
The magic of chinese flash manufacturers catching up sure is helping there. 60 euros really isn't that cheap, current price floor on NVMe 1TB sticks listed on PCPartPicker Germany at the moment is 54, and upgrading from that with a somewhat less shitty controller and under a dollar of aluminium extrusion as a heatsink doesn't cost much. TBW ratings/warranties are only as good as the company that's supposed to be honouring them, so for a new brand there may be a little reason to be suspicious
ZeroPaladn@reddit
The company seems to be someone new to the SSD space and the single review I found isn't very thorough: https://tech-legend.com/reviews/idsonix-i7000-pro-1tb/
However, for a basic use or gaming SSD it'll do the job plenty.
spasmwaiter@reddit
Is a 240mm AIO going to be sufficient for cooling a 9800X3D? Is the difference between a 360mm significant? I'm leaning towards a Fractal North case, and I don't want to front mount the radiator since I'll need space for the GPU. Would prefer the North to the North XL, or if I need slightly more space I might go with the new Corsair 4000D Frame... my current build from 2019 has too much empty space inside IMO, I want a case that is slightly more compact.
kaje@reddit
240mm AIO would be more than enough for that CPU.
spasmwaiter@reddit
Cool, thanks. Been a few years since I did a build and I've been out of the loop since. I know some CPUs run hot these days, but seems like mostly the higher end intel chips that require more cooling from what I've been seeing.

I've noticed my PC having trouble keeping up with more recent titles (like marvel rivals, have to set it to low). What should I upgrade here first? I'm fine with bottlenecks as long as I can upgrade it slowly.

I would assume GPU? But you should measure it with MSI Afterburner to see what is being utilized most
Elegant_Ad_7126@reddit
Do you have any suggestions on what gpu? not necessarily high-end ones, just enough to play newer titles without struggling.
dexterlab97@reddit
Depends on what that PSU model is and how much you're willing to spend
Driprivan@reddit
I have a Asus rog Thor from 2022 will I need to get a new psu or adapters to use the 5000 series gpu?
djGLCKR@reddit
Assuming Nividia continues including a 12VHPWR to PCIe adapter, it's irrelevant. Now, if your PSU came with a modular 12VHPWR cable, use that instead.

Is 32” too large for a 1440p monitor?
Domowoi@reddit
That's quite subjective. I would say for regular gaming that is fine.
Collier1505@reddit
Gotcha. I have a 27” 1440p that I like, found a 32” that I was going to grab for my buddy but I did recall seeing a lot of people here say that 27” was too small for 4K / 32” was too large for 2K.
Domowoi@reddit
Anything relating to monitors is very subjective, so there is no "right answer". And you have to keep in mind, that this forum will be quite critical in those aspects, enthusiasts will always have a different standard than regular users.
24" 1080p was the absolute standard for a long time and I had 27" 1080p for a long time and it was fine.
jamvanderloeff@reddit
Depends what you're doing with it and personal preference but I'd generally say yes, I'd rather have the standard 27" for 1440. It's equivalent pixel density to a 1080p 24"
Collier1505@reddit
It would be for gaming almost exclusively with a little bit of productivity.

Just curious, but since the motherboard has so many exposed components, is there any reason why manufacturers don't envelop them in some kind of non-conductive plastic film or something to protect against minor water damage? Obviously this wouldn't be full-proof and some parts will need to be exposed for components but yeah.
I'm guessing the added costs is not worth it as its not -that- big an issue for consumers?
Protonion@reddit
What you're describing already exists and is called Conformal Coating. It's used in for example industrial settings and automotive circuit boards since they can go through wide temperature ranges where condensation becomes an issue.
Why it isn't used on all electronics is mostly about cost, but also about it being kinda pointless to spend money on a coated motherboard when you have relatively huge parts like the RAM and PCIe slots that you can't coat, so the part wouldn't be protected anyways. Plus computer water damage is really quite rare
jamvanderloeff@reddit
Water damage is already excluded from their warranty so not their problem™️, and if you're using the computer sensibly, it's not a huge risk, just don't leave the case somewhere that's at risk of something like a glass of water falling on it.
For extreme overclocking people who do sub-zero cooling water damage from condensation is a real problem, those people do attempt things like conformal coatings and kneadable eraser material to protect the board.
winterkoalefant@reddit
I think it's not a big issue because your case already protects them
n7_trekkie@reddit
Some of these components produce heat, and plastic is a thermal insulator. Ambient airflow in your case is enough to keep them cool, but blocking airflow with plastic is unideal

Currently building a new pc. Hooked up the heatsink to the motherboard, all my m.2s, ram, everything. I go to put it in the case and I find the case is damaged and I need to return it. Can I just store the motherboard with all the components in the case until the new case arrives on Monday? Really don’t want any of the other components to get damaged or have to take apart everything
n7_trekkie@reddit
you sure can
MaharajahofPookajee@reddit
Would it be better to leave it in the case where it’s covered or just on top of a cardboard box? I was worried the metal case would be conductive or something
n7_trekkie@reddit
Either is ok
MaharajahofPookajee@reddit
Thank you! Spent so much money on components and really worried about something happening to them while I wait for the new case. I guess since it’s already in the case I’ll just leave it there to minimize the movement

I know it's probably still too early but will a $1000-$1100 pc be able to run GTA6 when it comes out? more of a prediction than anything. Im going to begin saving up but I dont know if I should save up more than that or not, I usually shoot for around 1k when I buy a new PC though
How was GTA 5 on PCs when it came out, with PCs that were a year old? I want to get into GTA RP when it comes out
n7_trekkie@reddit
certainly. the ps5 is like a $600-700 PC. a $1000 PC should run gta6 better than a ps5 pro.
here's an ancient review from when gta v released https://gamersnexus.net/game-bench/1905-gta-v-pc-fps-benchmark-graphics-cards
the gtx 980 ($550 msrp) ran the game at 65FPS average at 1440p ultra.

The PC version of GTA5 is a decade old now so there's no bearing on GTA6 requirements at all. The closest Rockstar new PC release we have is RDR2 in 2019 which has a pretty modest requirement at the time.
Anyway the GTA6 PC version will likely again be released a couple of years after the console version so we're looking at late 2026/2027 the earliest. That is also to assume Rockstar can stick to the advertised 2025 date for consoles with no further delays. Nothing here you need to worry about today.
