Lemme guess.
Christmass lights.
Seen a few of those around who taped them on like this, guess that owner got into an accident and was like "Fuck it, I'll salavge at least My Lights." lol
Yeah don't post exhausted. What I meant was that the streaming and flashing lights makes it difficult to distinguish the actual running, brake and turn signal lights on the back of the car. And that's where it got hit.
chatgpt thinks theyre forgestars. idk tho chatgpt is usually wrong about this type of thing and if i were to press the question it will definitely hallucinate wheel brands that dont even exist
This is why you don't ask ChatGPT, it doesn't know shit and regularly makes things up. The last image is just clear enough I can tell, definitively, that they're HREs. And it seems someone else was already able to tell exactly what model they are.
ah right on. yeah im very aware of gpts issues thats why i said it was probably not good info i just thought the brand was worth mentioning incase. so yeah fasho humans ftw
Was gonna say dude took an L not taking those wheels off. But I supposed if you can afford an RS6, then maybe you’re not as concerned. I think theyre FF10’s, which honestly aren’t terrible as far as HRE’s go - looks like $2400-2800/set depending on wheel size. I’d have found a way to get them back. I keep my stocks for a reason.
Yea I’m mostly thinking if you’re going to buy at auction I’d definitely factor in HREs being on there. That one rear does seem to have a fucked lip though but probably repairable professionally. It being an RS6 with HREs makes me imagine there’s likely some $$$ in other places on the car as well that could make it an easier auction win if the price is right
It's worse on the opposite side of the impact leading me to believe it's some sort of engine fluid , oil, coolant , transmission fluid , assuming from the other vehicle in the accident.
HSLB66@reddit
Kinda looks like someone taped christmas lights to their car and promptly got rear ended
Zelderian@reddit
This looks like the dude clipped a street light while doing donuts in a parking lot from where it hit
lolr@reddit
Yep the tail corner got a nice clip and bent the wheel in, likely you’re spot on.
eNaRDe@reddit
This..... probably blinded a driver at night and ended up rear ending the car. Merry Christmas!
Jekyll818@reddit
What kinda christmas lights are you all used to seeing that would be blinding at all?
Dude was definitely sliding around and found a solid object with the ass end of that poor car.
DJErikD@reddit
That’s carma!
Freakin_Adil@reddit
angry upvote
abooth43@reddit
That's a rear drivers corner impact. Dude started sliding, either on accident or on purpose, and swung into something.
Eriiaa@reddit
Rear ended a concrete barrier after spinning 180°, probably

Protholl@reddit
Yeah lets camouflage a car with hundreds of blinking colored lights and drive in the dark listening to Christmas music. WCGW?
grizzlor_@reddit
I don’t think the word camouflage means what you think it means
Protholl@reddit
Yeah don't post exhausted. What I meant was that the streaming and flashing lights makes it difficult to distinguish the actual running, brake and turn signal lights on the back of the car. And that's where it got hit.
casual-waterboarding@reddit
Bingo! Looks like electric tape.
seuadr@reddit
no, no.. they were uh.. aero testing.
CrazyTechWizard96@reddit
EXACTLY!
casual-waterboarding@reddit
No point taking off the tape if it’s totaled.
Blueflagbrisket@reddit
Binning your car will covered in Christmas lights would be so embarrassing
SoftPropaganda@reddit (OP)
Hah, holy shit... this is 100% what happened lol
Osirus9@reddit
Yea, could easily be from Christmas lights

What are those wheels called? They look like Pontiac snowflakes from the 70’s. Wouldn’t mind a set of these in gold on my old gto!

HRE FF10 in Satin Black

I think they’re APR A02 wheels. I almost got a set for my own car

Are those HREs?
