Anyone sending money frequently abroad from USA? Need quick, cheap options!

Hey, I’m working in CA and my family’s in SEA. I often need to send them money real quick, but the bank transfers take days and fees feel too high. (Time zones make it tough to send money at night.)
Anyone in a similar boat? How do you handle frequent international transfers (around few hundred$) without delays or too much fees? Would really appreciate if there is any suggestions

Wise has been very reliable. I send usa to France regularly.

As an expat, Wise, Revolut, etc are good options. Once you get a wise account, and add a subaccount in the currency that you need to transfer to, you can issue bank transfers. Depending on the country, back to bank transfers are usually instantaneous. Revolut is similar.

Wise seems to have gotten slower recently, my recent USD > GBP transfers have been taking several days.

I regularly do Chase Bank USA to France same day using wise.
Do you have your bank linked ach?

I noticed that as well. Even the add money is slow now. Previously it was instantaneous.
Revolut has always been slow.
You can also try HSBC.. but that requires significant funds to be held in their accounts

Wise to family in Indonesia, by far cheapest and instant in most cases.

I use Remitly. No fees. Works well. Very fast. I’ve heard good things about Wise also.

OP you might be best holding some funds in a Wise account in the destination currency. Wise is good and cheap but the USD transfers have been taking forever recently.

Why do you need to keep sending them money real quick?

I use Wise. It is cheap, easy, and fast.

I don't have family to whom I would choose to send money, but I've always wondered why opening a free checking account and giving family a debit card to withdraw from it at a local ATM isn't an option.

Bitcoin

Xlm is cheaper

I use Western Union. The app makes it quick and easy. Minimal fees and its got an award system that allows you to save money on the transfer fees. In the past we tried other ones but they didn't always have cash available at the receiving end.

It used to be the most expensive

I used Xoom a couple of times.

I use wise and then send to GCash in the Philippines.

I'm an expat in the US, and I use Wise to send money to my AUD accounts. Fast, low fees, no complaints on my end.

Based on keywords in your post, it looks like you might be asking for help transferring money between countries. There are a couple of popular options. Wise supports more currencies, but may be more expensive than Atlantic. Both offer reasonable rates and have been used by members of the community to transfer large amounts (in excess of $100K USD). Please do your own research to decide what is best for you. Note that Atlantic also has a comparison tool and is better value the more you are transferring.
