PCI-E 8 pin cables not fitting

Hello. I am building a new PC for one of my kids. I got a SWFT 210 RX 7700XT. It requires two of the 8 pin connectors. The PSU I bought is be quiet Pure Power 12M 750W. It has two of the 8 pin PCI-E cables but the pins are shaped different in a couple of spots. Is this normal? I am wondering if it’s normal to have different connectors or it’s a packing mistake. I tried to attach photos but apparently it’s not allowed here.
The GPU site says it requires two PCI-E 8 pin cables. The PSU site says it comes with two PCI-E 8 pin cables but the”for high end GPU’s” but the cables are different. wtf. I guess I just have to buy another 8 pin cable?

Make sure what you're trying to plug in is actually a PCIe 8 pin connector and not an EPS12V (CPU) connector. They look pretty similar. The PCIe 8 pin should be split into 6+2 pins, whereas the EPS12V is one solid 8 pin connector.

I have two cables that fit into the P8 slots on my PSU. One of the cables fits into my GPU, the other has squared connectors in a couple of places different than the other 8 pin cable, so it doesn’t fit into the GPU.
I do have a cable for PCIE that splits into two 8 pin connectors (both 6x2) but it doesn’t plug into the two 8 pin spots on the PSU, it’s other end is a 12 pin connector that plugs into the PCIE slot on the PSU. I didn’t think I should use that one since it isn’t the 8 pin. Am I wrong?

You are. Pcie goes into pcie.

Ok so I put it all together and the GPU doesn’t seem to come on at all. So my PSU has the two P8 slots, and the 12 pin PCIE slot. So you’re saying even though the GPU says it requires two P8 power connectors and the PSU says the two P8 slots it has are for high end GPU’s, I actually don’t use the P8 slots and use the 12 pin PCIE slot? As I said before, that cable splits into two 6+2 8 pin connectors, which connect to the GPU but it doesn’t come on at all when the PC is powered.
I apologize if this sounds condescending or something, I’m sure you know more than me I am just trying to make sure I have the right info. Thanks.

Picture just so we're on the same page here. The one marked 'PCIe 5.0 600W' is for a different connector, the 12V-2x6. Your GPU doesn't have this connector, as of right now only some nvidia GPUs do. You have to instead use the cable with two 6+2 pin connectors with the one marked just 'PCIe'. The 'P8' connectors are for CPU power which are plugged into the motherboard.
Nothing you said seemed condescending to me, all good.
