When you look back at your childhood, as an adult in the UK, what do you resent your parents for the most?

As I'm reaching a certain age, I find myself really considering having children. Naturally, I think back to my own childhood in the 80s/90s and the more I do - the more I think "Jeez, my parents were absolute loon balls". My Dad was a really successful businessman and we lived in a decent area. Behind closed doors they were both alcoholics. My Dad would have custom suits, luxury watches and cars yet he would grudge every little thing for his kids. Not one hug or conversation had where he said something positive ever happened. Christmas Day was one I absolutely dreaded. My Mum would be drunk and my Dad would be enraged at how much my Mum "effing spent on them". Yet, I honestly can't recall ever having an extravagant gift. I used to deliver newspapers, wash cars, take the dogs out, feed the dogs, hoover, iron my own primary school clothes and look after a vegetable patch I planted myself at around 10 - yet, would constantly be called "lazy" if I gave attutude for being given further tasks. It would be too much to list all the stuff they did that made no sense. I resent my parents now for this stuff and I have no relationship with them, which seems to be more common to hear now. I'm extremely lucky to now have a good life and be working on myself a day at a time to be the furthest from them as possible. What about you?
