Nah he will just get on the news again w his hillbilly unprofessional self talking about how everyone’s pipes “busted”, (instead of burst, which is the correct term)
Yes it’s winter but it’s Texas which is in the south where snow is less common you see. Do you know how much snow northern states see each winter? I’ll tell you: more than Texas sees. I could even prove it to you if I cared to google the data. You know how often we have a sunrise? I’ll tell you: more frequently than we have snow. Also, many of us in NTX just saw significant snow a week ago and seeing not one snow event but potentially two snow events within a week is a rare thing (not so much for northern states because they see more snow each winter than we do in Texas- they see an equal number of sunrises though). “Here we go again” seems like an appropriate thing to say here. Feel free to comment more if you need help understanding anything else!
North Texas gets ice/snow at least once every winter, for years. You'd know this if you cared to google it.
potentially two snow events within a week
It snowed on Thursday and Friday, the 9th and 10th. The next is maybe forecast for Tuesday the 21st. 21 -10 = 11 days. What calendar are you using that has 11 days in a week?
Doesn't look too serious so far. That said, the first snow/ice event of the year in North TX that gets a ton of hype is almost never the one that is actually bad. It usually ends up not that big a deal. It's the second or third one that people don't pay that much attention to (because they are over the boy who cried wolf hype) that ends up being the significant weather event. So, who knows.
Not really "again". Far less chance of precipitation to begin with, and reportedly any snow we do get will not be as "wet", so no chance of icing and not good snow for snowmen or snowballs.
I'm certainly prepared to be wrong, but as you can already see, this is looking to be far, far less of a deal than last time; the window for precipitation is much smaller (a few hours in the morning at best), a maximum of 30% coverage, and there's drier air aloft in the models, so precipitation may not even fall anyway. There is still that chance for impacts considering what falls will do so in \~20ish degree weather, but right now this just looks like a neat curiosity. We'll see.
Yeah I'm not too concerned as it pertains to snow/ice, what gets concerning is when it's below freezing for 24 hours, that's when shit breaks. Right now it looks like it'll be a little over a day, then we get a break. I think we should be ok. Personally, I just don't like that wind chill, that's fucking brutal. I'll take a triple digit humid as fuck summer day over a -20 degree wind chill any day.
I absolutely agree but luckily I cannot remember the last time we had a -20 wind chill. Even when it was 8 degrees a year ago we did not have that kind of wind chill because we would need a 50mph at 8 degrees to get a -20 wind chill.

this one will probably give us 22 feet of snow.

Look at the percentage of precipitation........

If it's 69% then it's something to be nice about.

It's fucking wild that we are expecting cold weather in January.
Like, who would've thought that could happen?

What do you hope to change with a Reddit comment?
It's winter. We do have winter here - is that surprising to you? Should I post tomorrow's sunrise time and title it "well, here we go again!" ??

So, again, what were you hoping to accomplish by mocking OPs comment?

I guess. Looks like it's going to get cold, with some precipitation. Like it normally would this time of year. It is mid January all ready
