I have a couple Piper for rental. $95/hour dry or as low as $75/h with a block rate
virulentspore@reddit
Can you narrow the location?
As u/TxAggieMike said flight schools won't rent because it's not worth it.
So there are a couple of flying clubs or individuals who will rent. Cadenza Aviation - (737) 273-3220 has a older piper out of KRBD and a newer piper out of KADS. There is https://www.rfcdallas.com/ out of KADS There's another club out of KRBD.
Then you get into stuff in the broader metroplex.

Thanks, great info. KADS, or north side TKI/DTO would be most convenient

KDTO has a club known as AeroValley.

I'm sure aviator is still running out of GPM. Stay the hell away from the big name schools (ATP, AF, etc).
nopal_blanco@reddit
The big schools don’t rent their planes out for non-instruction purposes.

It's been 20 years since I flew anything smaller than a 737 through DFW. That's all I got. Lol.
Sailass@reddit
The metroplex is about the size of Connecticut ;)
If you are on the east side, KTRL has some rentals and I think the guy at KHQZ does, though I've heard he might be doing instruction only renting now. Not 100% sure.

It's been a while, but I had good luck with Thrust flight(may have changed names) out of Addison (KADS?)
TxAggieMike@reddit
For non instructional renting? Last I heard, you needed to be actively training with Thrust to rent their airplanes for instruction flights. No recreational flights were happening.
Jeepscout@reddit
Well, my info may be dated then. That was the only place I rented from while I lived there
TxAggieMike@reddit
Fort Worth Flying Club has 3 172N’s renting at $80/hr dry and a TAA equipped Warrior renting at $85/hr dry. A 182Q is also part of the fleet.
https://www.fortworthflyingclub.org is how to find out more information
