Sibe-life@reddit
Arab tourists by far! They would literally destroy the clothing store l worked at. Very disrespectful and dirty. After a while we didn’t allowed them to use the washrooms bc they wouldn’t flush toilet and wash their hands most of the time.
Hyperion_000@reddit
Israelis and Indians by far the worst mentality as tourists!
Other nationalities has also some issues but mostly depend the person.
throwaway082122@reddit
Indians I’m not surprised. Why Israelis?
Tsansome@reddit
In Cyprus there have been many, many cases of Israelis gang-raping women in Ayia Napa then hopping on the first flight home to avoid any consequences.
am31_s@reddit
Two incidents specifically I remember. 2019 and 2023.
kurad0@reddit
I can find one article of 5 Israeli Arabs going on trial for that in Cyprus. Where are the many many cases though?
dogiii_original@reddit
allnof them are Israeli jews not arabs
am31_s@reddit
You're talking about 2 different incidents. The 2019 being Jews, the 2023 being Arabs.
kurad0@reddit
Source?
According to the BBC they are from Majd al-Krum. Which is an Arab town.
https://www.bbc.com/news/world-middle-east-67016801

There is no mention of Jews or settlers in your linked article. Also the times of israel mentioned in other articles it was Israelis from an Arab town.

Crazy levels of entitlement
Illustrious-Bank-519@reddit
I worked in a hospitality and I witnessed first hand their level of entitlement and disrespect to staff is absolutely unmatched. That's why I told my boss "do whatever the hell you want, but don't ever bother have me to work during the shift when Israelis are the guests".
This_Meaning_4045@reddit
There was a video of Israelis shitting in rocks on a beach.

FarisFromParis@reddit
This is true
Mesenterium@reddit
Russians, by a huge margin.
robby_arctor@reddit (OP)
Why?
Mesenterium@reddit
They act VERY entitled - they're rude to staff for no reason, expect everyone to speak their language (even random people) and take offence if people don't...
Illustrious-Bank-519@reddit
As an Armenian, I can confirm. Same fucking entitled behavior in our countries...
CTPABA_KPABA@reddit
They come with tanks and don't leave 🤣
kopachke@reddit
Lol :) it’s also funny how nobody noticed Americans not having left Europe in 85 years
Fallap90@reddit
There is a pretty good reason why the US troops in Europe are fairly unnoticed.
The_RedfuckingHood@reddit
Yeah, the Thai people fucking hate them.
LeadershipExternal58@reddit
Because so many Russians went to Thailand and they have like they are at home. They desecrated the Buddhist Temple and they are often drunk but this not a particular thing only for Russians but all to tourist in Thailand do that
godspart@reddit
Have their number decreased since 2022, or they are still enough of them?
Mesenterium@reddit
Not sure, I've been avoiding the resorts where they usually go for a while. But according to statistics, yes, they indeed have decreased in number somewhat.
faramaobscena@reddit
I met lots of Russian tourists in Turkey and the cultural differences are gigantic, they are always straight faced, always looking like it’s the worst day of their life, rude and they have zero consideration for others. They aren’t loud though but that’s because they aren’t excited by ANYTHING.
takeSusanooNoMikoto@reddit
Because it's a trend on the bulgarian sub reddits to show how much you hate em
Mesenterium@reddit
How could they know when it's not in russian 🤷
rakijautd@reddit
It's not the Americans.
We don't get many tourists as it is, but ofc, the worst are the Brits, to specify, drunk Brits.
neljudskiresursi@reddit
Anybody from Novi Sad can confirm this, as they invade during Exit. I was once smoking on my balcony, bunch of british junkies were going down my street and one took a shit in the middle of the road, on the white line. He needed like 5 seconds to drop incredibely massive shit
latroknak_is@reddit
Seen this in Budapest on a summer evening at 8 pm, right next to the most known party street at a car gate…you could see 3-5 bars from that spot alone, reach the door of 2 of them in less than a minute. Two of his friends were standing around him to “hide him”. Until this day i cant understand their thought process.
LordSun@reddit
wtf. and they talk about the indians lol
Gusenica_koja_pushi@reddit
I live in Novi Sad and don't leave my home during EXIT, except to go shopping for groceries in the store across the street.
neljudskiresursi@reddit
If you hear English while crossing, take a good look in front of you
rakijautd@reddit
Not from Novi Sad, but had the fortune/misfortune to visit Exit on two occasions for specific concerts (Sex Pistols and Motorhead). The difference in how the city looks and "acts" during Exit, and not during Exit is like hell and heaven, simply due to drunk and/or drugged up people influx. And mind you, I am not some "stick up the ass" person, I did tend to drink quite a bit, and party during my teens and 20s, and some of those parties/gigs were in Novi Sad. I guess it only got worse as the focus of the festival switched from R&R to electronic music, as we all know where the drugs are more popular.
In short, can confirm.
stack413@reddit
I'm guessing that the large majority of American tourists have family in the region (or are going to Greece). And the rest are going to be the relatively well off, cultured, adventurous sorts.
The bad American tourists go to Mexico or the Caribbean, if they don't just stay in the country.
kopachke@reddit

So… Brits
Suspicious-Arm-7355@reddit
US
CypriotGreek@reddit
I worked in the tourism sector when I was younger, so I have plenty of experiences (from worse to slightly less):
The worst tourists are the British, they will never tip at all, and they will make you bring them seven beers on 7AM in the morning (true story). They are loud and get drunk easily, and are very belligerent, and they think everybody is out to scam them.
After that, we have the Arabs, regardless of age they think that everybody is their servant and are forcing people to work like slaves, and will 100% complain to a manager if they don’t. They believe that every tourism worker is their slave that should work for them exclusively and will complain about every single thing that doesn’t go their way.
Following along, we have the Israelis , usually people that just got out of the army and are just generally a nuisance, they will try to haggle everything, and we’ll make a fuss about the prices of literally everything, it’s like a Karen personalised in a nation, one time I even had an Israeli couple leave ISRAELI CURRENCY to pay for the meal and quickly left the establishment. We banned them and they where threatening to call the police
After that, we have the French, they don’t know a link of English, and we will always speak to you in French and get mad if you don’t know the language, I had to learn a bit of French to be able to serve French tourists because literally every single one of them refused to even speak to me in English, and every time I spoke to them in French, they got offended because of my accent.
And last, but not least we have the Germans. They’re bad because they’re stingy as hell and will never pay for anything, they will bring their own towels and their own umbrella, they will bring their own packaged food, and will generally be a nuisance, they’re the type of people who “reserve” seats in the pool by putting a towel over them.
StamatisTzantopoulos@reddit
' the French, they don’t know even a bit of English, and they will always speak to you in French and get mad if you don’t know the language, I had to learn a bit of French to be able to serve French tourists because literally every single one of them refused to even speak to me in English, and every time I spoke to them in French, they got offended because of my accent.'
Τhought it was just a stereotype but looks like it's true after all. Not trying to defend them, but my two cents since I live in France: many don't speak English at all and the rest fear that their accent in English will be bad and people will be making fun of them, cause that's quite common in French. The younger ones though, I would say <35-40, do speak at least basic English and some very good.
CypriotGreek@reddit
The thing is that they do indeed speak English they just don’t want to speak it, and that’s the worst part. They can understand what you’re saying, but as far as I know it’s due to stupid nationalist reasons not because they’re shy.
StamatisTzantopoulos@reddit
Οnly partly true and mainly for the older ones I think - but that's my experience in France itself
Cloud_Atlas_Fan@reddit
They paid using Israeli currency? Maybe they paid with their currency because they think that all other currencies are trash.
CypriotGreek@reddit
As far as I remember, they told us they paid with shekels because they thought the “shekel was more valuable”.
A shekel has 1/4th the value of a euro
Cloud_Atlas_Fan@reddit
Lol Israeli superiority complex is so weird
throwaway082122@reddit
I’m a member of the Diaspora, but every time I return to Greece, I have to say the Brits are really noticeable. There’s something wrong with that culture and alcohol. The two should not mix considering how belligerent it gets.
I’ve always said Americans aregreat tourists. They have the deepest pockets, super respectful, easy to spot a mile away, and they’re genuinely interested in the country and the culture, likely because they travel a lot less than other Europeans. Remember, the United States is massive, so a lot of Americans travel within their own country or to immediate neighbouring countries like Mexico and Canada.
MoCreach@reddit
As someone from the UK it’s not actually fair to just say “Brits” in general because it’s actually a very small portion that cause problems, but they draw a lot of attention. For every British person that gets too drunk in places like Spain or Greece and makes a fool of themself, there are another 10 that think that 1 person is an idiot.
If you went on a night out in the UK you’d see that it’s actually far more civilised. It’s because a select small percentage of people “save themselves” for these holidays and just let loose when they’re abroad. A lot of it is because they save up hard, word hard and there’s a lot of work stress here, so they go away to let off steam for a couple of weeks before going back to normality again.
Unfortunately, this means that people like yourselves see these people at their very worst but don’t see them working and acting normal the rest of time.
IOnlyReadTitlesBro@reddit
Yeah, and the rest of the world doesn't work hard, saves money and has work related stress. We just chill and money keeps coming so when we go abroad, we can behave properly.
MoCreach@reddit
So genuinely, what do you think the problem is with British people?
IOnlyReadTitlesBro@reddit
Not all Brittish tourists are drunk douchebags but when you encounter a drunk douchebag tourist, it's mostly Brittish tourists and by Brittish I mean English.
They tend to have lack of respect for local people, cultures, history, monuments etc. They think they are better than us and our laws and they behave like they wouldn't behave back home. Maybe because punishments back home are much worse than in the Balkans but we in the Balkans dont really have to implement strict rules about vomitting in a historical area cuz we don't do that.
Also, English is the second language here so we can understand you when you share your impressions of the place. If it were some Spanish or Dutch tourists, less people will understand them and understand if they talk shit.
ResidentLong1032@reddit
Spot on. I don't understand how all Europe has some kind of alcohol culture but Brits got it so weirdly wrong

Naus1987@reddit
It confuses me so much (as an American) that almost no one in Romania I meet can speak English, but you guys play English songs on radios all the time.
Do most Romanians just have no idea the lyrics for the songs they hear everyday?

Naus1987@reddit

faramaobscena@reddit
Romania has a pretty high English literacy when compared to most countries so your statement is baffling. Only germanic speaking countries are higher.
Naus1987@reddit
I spent a month in Craiova. So maybe the region matters?
PisicaIntergalactica@reddit
You have clearly never been to Romania if you say that Romanians in Romania don’t speak English.
Naus1987@reddit
I spent a month in Craiova and only met like 7 people who spoke English.
A lot of Bolt drivers and service staff don’t speak English. But they’re good with a nod and “card?”
I know I’m the bad guy, because I should learn the language and be better. So I won’t argue against my downvotes.
k0mnr@reddit

That's also why we use the n word with no issues. We get it through media, not from history lessons.
holyrs90@reddit
Same for Albania, we use it as like , bro, dude etc
crystal-c@reddit
A lot of us speak English, but there will also be people thinking that they don't need English in their lives, as there's 'no reason to know' how to speak it (I heard a few people saying this). Music is worldwide, so I don't see the issue there. It would be the same for Americans that listen to latino songs - I bet not everyone speaks Spanish to understand all lyrics.
nargilen40@reddit
Russians by and large. They refuse to learn even a shred of Bulgarian, they view drunk and disorderly escapades as heroic feats and they act like they own the air you breathe and the land you're walking on. That's how most of them behave here in BG anyway at least.
h1ns_new@reddit
But why would a tourist have to learn the langauge😅😅😅

Suitable-Decision-26@reddit
Nope, lots of them are here. Some even stay. Most of those are good people actually but then you get some oldish pieces of work who would stand there speak to you in russian and get angry when you don't understand them.
The_RedfuckingHood@reddit
The feeling is mutual. When I see one of them, and he says Слава Россия, and blasts Putin....I don't think I will be able to control myself.
Repent2Jesus419@reddit
Honestly being an American I can say I see American tourists behaving well. Usually because the scummy Americans can’t afford to come to Europe.
rakijautd@reddit
Nah, it's just that you guys behave better in general than the Brits, and some Dutch, and some Scandis, and some Germans. As in, you don't go in packs, and you don't drink/drug yourselves to oblivion. Plus most Americans don't have the snobby attitude. Sure there can be an occasional Karen here and there, but those get put in their place easily, both in the States and overseas. I guess it also has to do with the fact that northern Europeans are pretty much like teens on a first school excursion once they enter a country where there isn't an explicit rule for every god damn thing possible.
Vihruska@reddit
When you said Germans.. I have a little story that illustrates how some of them behave (at least used to, I haven't met that many recently) in Bulgaria.
During the communist times Bulgarian kids had access to a quite limited number of sweets brands and types. The Germans, already quite richer than Bulgarians, would bring with them plenty of German sweets or buy in the resorts stuff not accessible easily to Bulgarians and then would proceed to throw bonbons to the ground and watch Bulgarian toddlers and small children gather them.
Charming stuff really.
rakijautd@reddit
Honestly, I am not surprised, as I have heard similar stories, albeit about various ethnicities who happened to be rich in comparison to the "other" at the moment of those stories. That said, it saddens me that I wasn't this age, then, and there. Matters little in the long run though, rest assured that such tasteless rich cunts are usually cucked in every other situation in life.
Vihruska@reddit
There are people like that everywhere. It's human nature for some. I live now right next to Germany and know that many people have either never been like that or changed their attitude in recent years about people from the ex Warsaw pact countries. Though it's still not ideal.
Although I am one of these children who gathered bonbons from the ground, I have no ill feelings towards Germans, though I hope I never see Bulgarians behaving like that because I would be throwing hands and get the 💩 beat out of me and/or my husband 🤭.
Naus1987@reddit

The Americans that can afford to go to Europe generally aren't going to the Balkans.
hopper_froggo@reddit
Nah Croatia and Greece are hella popular and Montenegro and Albania are starting to become popular as well.
SasquatchMcKraken@reddit
That sort of explains my dad going to Albania not too long ago (on business). Greece needs no introduction and I'd hit up Croatia to see Diocletian's place in Split. But you guys really see that many Americans? Everyone I went to school with stayed in Western Europe.
holyrs90@reddit

Tableforoneperson@reddit
Way too much. Although I am based in Split.
I am okay with that.
hopper_froggo@reddit
Im from the USA myself so I cant speak for balkaners but I went to Croatia to visit family several years ago. Before I went, many people couldnt point out Croatia on a map. A few years after, people started talking excitedly to me about how they wanted to go visit Split and Dubrovnik for the beaches and roman ruins.
Since Croatia has gotten popular, I have seen more and more travel influencers promoting Montenegro(Kotor region) and Albania as cheaper and less crowded alternatives.
inevitable_entropy13@reddit
there are lots of americans coming to croatia for split, dubrovnik, places in dalmatia and istria and even in zagreb. they are not the worst tourists though. i would say chinese and brits are far worse, both in different ways.
Tableforoneperson@reddit
I agree.
The “worst” I see from Americans here is that they get snowflakey sometimes but that is mainly it.
Naus1987@reddit

Vihruska@reddit
Russians and then Brits and then there are quite a few fighting hard for the third place.
British people at least have some fantastic tourists interested in the culture, cities and nature (although a drop in between the hordes of party goers 😁). I've never, ever seen a Russian interested in any of that, unfortunately.

The worse are the Brits bellow the age of 60, young Israelis (who typically come here after the army), extremely entitled Arabs.
Indians we dont have yet many in Greece, but from what I hear you better literally nail everything down otherwise it will disappear.
Even toothbrush holders and flower pots. They have a very colourful reputation already in Thailand, Malaysia etc where their middle class now vacations in droves.

I stayed at one hotel in Romania recently that had a glass flower pot filled with Romanian coins. Not a big pot. Like a big soda bottle.
It looked cool, but I almost felt like it was probably a test for someone lol.
My mom always told me to leave a place better than you found it. So I didn’t take anything and cleaned the place spotless. I even bought cleaning supplies from the local store and left the extras.
It helps that I clean when stressed. And there’s a lot of minor stress moments while traveling lol!!
Big_Television9854@reddit
Does anyone tip more than Americans?
macgruff@reddit
American here… and I’m at least heartened to see my fellow countrymen have seemingly been well behaved! I look at it this way, we live totally detached from the rest of the world both by geography and our own culture that has gone very awry. But those of us who travel, and I don’t mean the “all expenses paid” tour cruises and bus tours… some Americans in those contexts can be the same type of sheltered people. But most even of them come home with a new appreciation. They won’t admit it, but for the better.
I’ve been to Spain, France, Ireland, Britain and Switzerland. I almost bought land and a home in Slovenia (hence why I lurk here on this sub). So, I want to next visit the Balkans. As some have noted here, we may be loud but we also are quite friendly, so yeah if you see one of us (because apparently we are easy to spit, LOL) chat us up! Many who travel also are not the ignorant types who vote for a disaster as a President, though unfortunately many did, again… but most who travel are truly interested in your culture and especially since we’re not talking about London, Paris, Berlin and Rome visitors… if they came to the Balkans, there must be an inquisitive reason why, right?
We do apologize if any of our brethren behave poorly. I hope that doesn’t happen often, but I can’t wait to hopefully bump into some of you without even knowing and I hope I treat you with respect also! Cheers!

The Americans are louder than my playstation at 3am but they're nice folk, the Russians I just want to beat the shit out of.

After arriving in Maldives last year, my wife and I decided to go see a nearby Crab Beach on the island, at night. There was a group of about 8 chinese tourists (children and adults too) that were running after the crabs, with plastic bags full of them. Later they made a fire on the beach, cooked and ate them. Wtf

I actually had good experiences with Brits, I think it’s the drunkards that are a problem.
Redit122739@reddit
I absolutely agree most British people are lovely until they drink alcohol. I don’t think they know how to handle it.

I’m hoping it’s not Americans. If so, I’m sorry. We are loud and boisterous, but we mean well.

Nah, Americans are actually fine as tourists and very helpful.

Culturally insensitive and so, so, so clueless sometimes. You're more like the special needs kid that gets a little loud sometimes. It's okay, you're not anyone's favourite but the brits easily outdo y'all.

Never witnessed a problematic American. Polite and friendly people in mu experience. But witnessed drunk Brits knocked off by local shop owners and Russians gorilla fighting each other for whatever reason. So I could say its Brits or Russians.

Have been to Turkey, can confirm Russians, Brits and (to some extent) Germans
faramaobscena@reddit
The Russians in Turkey act like someone sent them by force.
Budget_Insurance329@reddit
Gladly the American tourists in Turkey are mostly the intellectual class besides health tourism consumers. Turkey is not a mainstream destination in the US as much as in Europe, Russia and MENA. For Americans, the classic ‘Europe tour’ ends in Greece and the Middle East is a no no
stack413@reddit
Even Greece is a relatively intellectual destination for Americans. An American generally won't end up in Greece unless they're a least a bit of a history nerd. The ones that just want to party generally stay closer to home.
Budget_Insurance329@reddit
It is, but Turkey is even more niche. As I know there is a European tour most Americans are dreaming to ‘visit their homeland’, consists of London, Amsterdam, Paris, Rome and sometimes Greek Islands.

felinahasfoundme@reddit
My family rents apartments in a beach house during the summer.
The worst tourists are in the following order:
Russians. They refuse to adopt anything from the culture that they have come to. Basically they form an enclave/ghetto. Also, they spend almost no money. Very rude, like to skip lines in the supermarket, cut in traffic, get into arguments/fights etc.
Israelis. No one leaves rooms as demolished as them. By renting an apartment they think they are entitled to do whatever they want with it.
Drunk Brits. Loud and annoying but besides that not too bad honestly.
Magistar_Idrisi@reddit
Americans are fine, I like them.
Brits are often horrible, but when I was working in tourism the worst were... Czechs and Slovaks. Okay, granted, it was always big groups of young Czechs and Slovaks, but I don't remember witnessing such scenes of disrespect and arrogance with anyone else.

Our cafes literally keep them in those coolers meant for stores alongside all other drinks, if you're ordering a coke or a Fanta or anything it's ASSUMED that you want it ice cold smh
AnalysisQuiet8807@reddit
Its not, dont know if you’ve ever been to Australia or USA, but mate, when you get a drink from a fridge there its cold. I think you guys set your fridges to higher temps then in au or usa
SamiTheAnxiousBean@reddit
didn't you say earlier that when traveling Here and asking for a cold one you get piss warm liquid?
AnalysisQuiet8807@reddit
Yes, because what you consider cold is piss warm mate. Even tho you put it in the fridge temperature in your fridges is not cold enough mate.
SamiTheAnxiousBean@reddit
No I straight up think that's a Mainland thing then
because over here the Glass legitimately fogs up
AnalysisQuiet8807@reddit
What do you mean by mainland thing? Whats a mainland?
SamiTheAnxiousBean@reddit
Mainland Serbia (aka "Glavna Serbia") is "the main Serbian Land" so Belgrade, Novi Sad, Kraljevo, etc.
Outland Serbia is smaller cities, towns, villages, etc. basically everything else that isn't front and centre
Incase it's not obvious, I'm Outland

As someone with a small tourist business....Chinese, they almost never shop, they only want to buy luxury brands and don't show any interest in our culture, they buy food from the supermarket instead of going to restaurants. Sometimes they will try everything and leave without a goodbuy. They almost never speak English. They ask for huge discounts and even for 2 euros.

When I go to Greece where my fam is from I do not like majority of the Austrian German tourists weird with attitude
saddinosour@reddit
I came to say this— when I’m in Australia where I live the worst worst tourists are the Brits because they get high on cocaine in broad daylight then step all over your towel at the beach as you’re trying to lay there.
When I was in Greece, (as a Greek looking and speaking person) I got the most weirdest attitude from German people. They were rude and downright xenophobic when I would sit in places locals probably wouldn’t be in. And they were weird when I took a boat somewhere too.
Low_Information1982@reddit
I am German and I know this type of german tourist. If I spot some abroad I duck and run.
They work in poorly paid jobs in the service industry themselves and have to save up ages to afford a holiday.
And then they feel like they have to treat everyone around them as their personal slave, complain about the food and that no one speaks their language. I guess it makes them feel better about their own sad life.
Not everyone is like that though. They just stick out with their bad behavior. I guess you can say the same about every tourist really.
Flaky_Answer_4561@reddit
Why? :/
finesalesman@reddit
Brits, Dutch and some Irish people (like the ones in the Honest Guide video. Brits are the worst tourists tho. Dutch are second worst. Irish can be good, but sometimes when they get drunk, they can really behave out of order.

I live in an isolated town that is a pretty good place to stop for lunch or stay the night when you are traveling in the area. Germans are the only ones who wander around town with their gigantic hiking backpacks and treat the town like it’s a zoo. I know my town is old school and things like the markets are cluttered and a bit odd to outsiders, but stop taking pictures of everyone when they are just going about their daily lives and jobs.
Lazy-Photograph-317@reddit
Germans are fine. Mostly respectful
FarisFromParis@reddit
As a French and Bulgarian who lived in both places I always felt Americans were some of the better tourists, same with Germans and Japanese, and Russians also.
The worst of the worst to me is the Italians from the southern part, Brazilians, Albanians, and Turkish
Crca81@reddit
Southern Italians being the loudest, or unpolite as well?
FarisFromParis@reddit
They always want to argue the price as if it's a swap meet. They're not as cheap as some other groups but they are always fishing for deals. And they will get very angry if you refuse.
They are loud but that really isn't a huge deal depending where they are.
They are very messy however, they leave garbage wherever and cigarette butts like crazy.
I remember once they were at a restaurant I worked and they had two ash trays on their able and they used one of their empty beer glasses instead and ruined it.
Crca81@reddit
Ah, that must be because in these last years, here in Italy newspapers are filled with news about how cheap countries like Albania are, compared to Italy. So more and more people are going there on holiday, expecting everything to be much cheaper.
FarisFromParis@reddit
Funny enough my poor experiences with them was in France. I never encountered Italians in Bulgaria but Bulgaria doesn't get much tourists.
Crca81@reddit
Then I wonder why any Italian in their right mind would expect France to be cheap...
FarisFromParis@reddit
It didn't seem they expected it to be cheap, they just hoped to negotiate a better price for themselves than everyone else was getting it seemed.

Just learned that most of Israeli tourists are unbearable in Hungary. It goes back of course to the 2nd WW, where Hungary was (arguably?) pretty much forced to join Germany, and they just feel entitled to “retaliate”. (This is not some antisemitistic overstatement, it is real, they behave like this in almost every country who was on the wrong side of the war.)
Also, it is more like a personal preference, but east-asian tourists (Japanese, Chinese mostly) are sooo fucking culturally clueless. They mean no harm, but are a pain to coexsist with.

Lazy-Photograph-317@reddit
The worst tourists come from a mixed bag of nationalities. Americans are usually polite, friendly, and fun but a lot of them can be complete dicks. British tourists in the Balkans don’t have a good reputation for being drunkards but they are fine as backpackers. Chinese tourists, despite being hated pretty much everywhere, mostly just walk in guided tour groups, when there are a lot of them they might clog pedestrian traffic or take too much photos (like the Japanese). In my opinion the worst are the Indians and Arabs. Indians for sexual harassment and Persian Gulf Arabs for acting entitled. However I am a big fan of Indian and Middle Eastern culture.
