Blueberry_Inept@reddit
Currently building one right now (primarily a gaming community with a Halo focus). It’s in alpha but there are already plenty of features.

Who_soever@reddit
Many others seem to miss the old fashioned forums. I have just created one. It needs members willing to post and invite others. https://oldfashion.freeforums.net/

ahmad_waqar1@reddit
I am working on creating a platform that serves as a middle ground between 4chan and reddit. 4chan is extreme freedom of speech and reddit is just too left-wing biased.
Chocolate_Orange1375@reddit
There is still an active forum for people who take stock photos (Microstock Group)
Die4Ever@reddit
Lemmy can operate as a forum

Lemmy has 42k monthly active users
Feel free if you have any questions
NuderWorldOrder@reddit
Many games still have official forums that are reasonably active. Warframe, Terraria and Factorio being good examples off the top of my head.
TFielding38@reddit
Bob is the oil guy.
Cpvrx@reddit
Roflmao is a general discussion forum and might be up your alley. There’s also a directory of forums onForumDiscovery.
