20 attempts to post later... 😅 I was going to post the rest of everything I wanted to say here, but it feels a bit clunky to put that much text into a single comment. The key headlines were basically this:

TL;DR: Title is not clickbait - today is my first day working in an office for *my own business* - 100% bootstrapped and 100% dedicated to developing open-source goodies for folks that want to run AI at home!

Taking this leap was not an easy one - at least not for me. The sheer amount of imposter syndrome I had to get over was immense. The finances were an even steeper mountain to climb. I 100% could not have taken this plunge if I still lived in London lol - the amount of money I saved up for this wasn't even enough to give myself anywhere close to minimum wage!

The main thing that has enabled me to do this is that over this last year I worked hard to get my living costs a lot lower. As in, low enough that I could be comfortable with my small amount of savings for a year of self-employment. Also has the very nice benefit that I can squeeze the absolute most of any additional finances that might make their way to me in the future!

Also, whilst on the topic of finance - I've already received plenty of criticism for this, but I don't intend to pursue revenue or dilutive investment. The first question I get asked is "So when you run out of savings, is that it?" Well, maybe - but I've got lots of plans up my sleeves... and of course if I do succeed, I'll be documenting the whole process start to finish 😄
