Well in America we read from left to right, I didn’t mean to offend your culture. My apologies.

If you had kids, did you also end up coaching?

I did, basketball, baseball, hockey and soccer. I absolutely loved coaching baseball and hockey. Basketball was good, soccer was when the kids were really young and it was like herding goats.

I always ask people whose moms or dads coached them as kids if the coach as an adult. It's pretty interesting what people say. My dad was my coach in baseball and my brother's coach in basketball. I had no desire to coach but when my kids were old enough to play T-Ball they needed volunteers and I felt obligated, since I knew how to play. It's funny, I never even for a second thought anyone actually enjoyed coaching, it was just what you signed up to do because you were the person that knew how to teach it. I guess I just never had any coaches that looked like they were having any fun out there. Here I am about 12 years later and still coaching high school aged girls softball and middle school aged baseball. I don't think I've loved anything more than coaching. I didn't even think I liked kids before I started.

Word man, same. I just loved hockey and baseball because I could play in practice too. Loved doing infield and pitching. Hockey was just awesome to skate out there with them and playing goalie. Really miss that.

My kids have recently started getting interested in hockey. I've been playing it their whole lives so I don't know why now but it's pretty fun to get out there with them, even if it's a little late. I only know fundamentals in baseball, hockey I never really got a huge foundation of coaching so I don't have that to pass on to them, but that's what you're for

Every Gen X has this pic in one form or another! 😂Someone's dad was always the coach.
