Sainsbury's sell a particular vegetable called "greens", but what actually is it?

They have "spring greens" and "winter greens" in those seasons, but other times it is just "greens". I am NOT talking about a medley of mixed greens, it's literally a leafy head of...something in a bag. Something that's green and delicious when fried in butter. You can steam it, but you would not eat it raw. It looks like a giant gem lettuce.
Please help me. I can't sleep until I find an answer to this question.

Hello from a year ago! Best I could find was "premature cabbage".

Did you ever get a satisfactory answer to this?
I just bought some to put in kimchi, but it would to know exactly what's gone in 😬

Nothing beyond 'brassica'! I hope your kimchi goes well. I'd love to try making my own, if you'd care to share the recipe?

This is my first batch, it's only just started fermenting. Judging from the smell though, I'd say 'greens' aren't an ideal ingredient 🤢.

Did you ever make a second attempt at kimchi?

Yeah man! My current one's 5days in now and it's great. Used Chinese sweetheart, parsnip, carrot, ginger, garlic, paprika and gochujang. Definitely a winner 👍

That sounds great! Thank you :)

I always thought that was for the rabbit

That's is exactly why I buy it
