Computer Building experience on a Resume?

I was wondering what the opinion is on the sub about if and how you would put your computer building experience on a resume. I'm a Business Administration college student looking for part time work and was wondering if it's worth mentioning and how I would go about resume-fying it to sound professional. Not getting my degree in something IT involved seems like it might be out of place but it feels like such a useful skill to show off. I understand the building itself wouldn't mean much in a work place but it feels like just being that knowledgeable about computers would bring value to the hiring process.

All you need is * Computer Savvy
Just make sure you actually are. It's not impressive that you've assembled a computer. A 7 part puzzle is not impressive, unless you are 2 years old. If you have experience with and can troubleshoot PC problems, that's impressive and useful.

ik its been 7 yrs but I gotta say boiling down everything that comes with building a pc to it just being a "7 part puzzle" is incredibly reductive to the skills used in the process especially if you do it all yourself sure its simple in hindsight cause we already know how to do it

I mean that's essentially what it is. There are better ways to communicate that you are knowledgeable about computers, because building a PC doesn't say too much to anyone who is already in a technical field. Any average Joe can do it, plus you can find a YouTube tutorial for it and do it in 30 minutes. It's much better to talk about being able to solve a problem or diagnose an issue.
