Does eBay realise they're probably going to cripple UK sellers from this new move??

As we're no doubt aware by now, it's now free to sell on ebay, and dump those horrendous over the top charges. (about bloody time!) They've now been frightened by Vinted I think and adopted their no fee approach to selling.. Which was great.. For a few weeks before they dropped this new bombshell.. Anyway, the point of this post is, like most UK users, you'll probably have seen the new T's&C's section update last night with regards to new buyer and seller protection. So, this is where the new rant/problem is.. And please tell me if I'm understanding this wrong. I have read all the info, so don't think I have. But again, as always, it seems like the buyer is being favoured over the seller, massively this time, but the real problem I'm having and the biggest kick in the crotch is, from the 4th of Feb, we're now expected to send items BEFORE being paid?!?! That is a first, but not only that, we don't actually get the money until around 2 days after the item has been marked as delivered!! So this could potentially be upto a week after you post the item before you see that money, and in this current climate when people rely on quick sales and getting money ASAP this is a real dick move by eBay and I think a lot of people will come away from it for this reason alone. Now the reason for the rant is, I can see a few things could go massively wrong here.. Namely, 1. Scammers will be rubbing their hands here now because they'll be trying to figure out every trick in the book to figure out ways to simply take goods and run and then you never see the money because they say it wasn't delivered, wrong address, faulty when it's not, the list goes on.. I anticipate an influx of new accounts being opened in the coming days and weeks on the back of this announcement. You watch, it'll be flooded with more zero feedback accounts than you've ever seen before. Mark my words. 2. People will be forced to pay more for "tracked" postage which may put some sellers off as a lot prefer the cheapest option, but seems this will be the only option going forward to ensure it's visible through the network and especially to eBay who ultimately hold your payment ransom until they're satisfied it has been delivered. 3. Glitches... These happen all the time and with regards to my own purchase history as an example, I see many items even now that I've had delivered weeks or months ago that are still showing in the delivery stage, so how on earth can this possibly work?? eBay have always been accused of favouring the buyer and this latest news cements that, and is just another nail in the coffin for sellers. We all know and have some experience of even when an item has been delivered, it still might not show this for weeks later... Are we supposed to lose out on these funds because of a glitch either within eBay's system or the shipping methods system not updating?? I think not.. I am seriously considering now pulling all of my items and listing them elsewhere.. Which is a shame because eBay has always been a great platform for me personally and the only real platform to sell such items. I know others have had horrible experiences but mine have been great. That said, I'm simply not willing to send anything, especially expensive items with the prospect of never seeing that money because of some dodgy buyer saying it hasn't been delivered or because of a false delivery shipping glitch. What are your thoughts, am I reading this wrong, am I overreacting or do you agree?
