2004 Trailblazer Ls engine swap

How realistic is an engine swap from my stock 2004 ls trailblazer swapped to a 6.0 3rd gen ls engine? I would pay someone to do the swap for me, I want to know if there is any challenges or cons from this?

The ss version came stock with a 6.0 LS2 so pretty much everything you need has a gm part number that goes to a trailblazer chassis. I will tell you the "easiest" way to work on the v8 variant is to pull the body off the frame. You can fit the engine out the with nose on but it's not fun and the transmission tunnel is very tight. When I worked for gm it took about 45 minutes to an hour to have the body off the frame with a lift which we did pretty much any time the heads where coming off or the engine was coming out, we also did this for rear ac line repairs and harness swaps.

I have the 04 trailblazer ext 4.2 6 in line and was wondering if engine mounts aligned or need adaptations for the 6.0 LS2. Does the transmission need to be rebuilt with high performance parts or will stock be fine?

Find a donor 5.3L envoy to rip V8 swap parts and everything else you need. They are relatively common in junk yards where I am. I hope your TB isn't 4wd lol

Check your local laws to make sure you can register/inspect the vehicle if you swap it. In my state that's too new to pass after an engine swap.
