Is there a better API for getting stock data than yfinance?

I'm kind of disappointed in yfinance. I'm trying to build a program to run daily and scrape stock data to perform various analyses on, and I keep having issues with yfinance. I keep hearing about Charles Schwab releasing an API for this kind of thing, but haven't seen anything concrete. Do they or Vanguard (or, really, anyone reliable) have a decent API available?

I made the mistake of investing time in writing an application that used a free stock api. It got bought out by someone else and became useless. For personal finance now I just scrape. Yahoo rarely changes and if it does just adjust the code a bit and you are all done.

With that you can spawn off a local steampipe CLI, or run it as a local postgres. I'm currently using Steampipe Cloud, which provides a remote postgres server to connect to.
