We share the road with these people

Came across this on my thread and while I will say there are some good points about the behavior of drivers and things drivers do there are so many concerning comments.
Makes you realize who you share the road with when you read this comment section just some truly brain dead people out there and you can’t do anything to change their mindset lol.

4 wheelers have no idea. Get used to it
Present-Ambition6309@reddit
And that 7-10 minutes means all the difference in the world? If so, trip plan?
StonedTrucker@reddit
Ya sometimes it does. When you need to go 620 miles at 65mph the minutes count
CannibalAnus@reddit
I had 20 minutes left on my drive line, truck is governed to 65. Drove 660 miles 😎
Present-Ambition6309@reddit
That’s 4 miles better than I did when governed at that speed only got 656, but I also bumped a dock. Set the brakes and bailed out for sum fireball. What post trip? 😂 jk
StonedTrucker@reddit
That's one hell of a day! I'm usually down to about 15 minutes every time I do that 620 stretch
Kaidenshiba@reddit
When driving across the country, you have to save time somewhere.
Present-Ambition6309@reddit
Wipe less, waffle stomp more, there you just got back 30 minutes, enjoy!
Bounty66@reddit
Drive ungoverned trucks. Or just stay cooking in the lazy lane. Stupid super truckers.
deadpat03@reddit
So you're saying slow guys need to go slower because that would slow you down. So, in theory, you want miles of really slow trucks in the right lane, so while you're passing 6 miles off slow trucks, you become the slow truck in the hammer lane. That makes sense. I mean, the 67 should follow the 65, and the 65 should follow the 63, and the 63 should follow the 59 and never pass so the 76 guys should follow the 74 that have to follow the 72 right behind the 70 in the hammer becuase you don't want to slow down.
Bounty66@reddit
If you don’t have discipline to wake up earlier you shouldn’t be a driver. If you can’t stand up for yourself at work you shouldn’t be a driver.
StonedTrucker@reddit
You sound like someone who plays truck simulator and then comes on here to larp as a teuck driver. How will waking up earlier extend my 11 or 14? What a clown
Bounty66@reddit
You having appointment problems is down to you and your company. If you work for a crap company then do yourself and everyone a favor and shop around.
Your cheap freight. You are forced to fake cheap freight. And you’re so new that you’ll do it thinking you’re doing a great thing.
In reality your running cheap freight lowers the shipping prices and truck drivers earnings.
And you let your dispatchers run your rig and run your life. You’re the driver. You’re in command. Not the dispatcher.
You’re the clown. A weak scared cheap new driving clown.
StonedTrucker@reddit
Bro, you need a life
Bounty66@reddit
Bro, you need to do your job correctly.
Bounty66@reddit
Stop eating fast food. Buy some appliances and food from grocery stores. Waiting in line for your stupid latte or gourmet pizza wastes time. Store and cook your own meals. You’ll be healthier, feel better, save time, and save money. And if you do break down or are stuck, you don’t have to worry about food. That stress will be gone because you prepared. Plus it helps fight depression. Cooking makes most people relax and feel better.
Stop showering every fucking day. I knew people who showered twice a day while their truck was parked at the fuel island pissing off every other driver for a 5 mile radius.
Buy baby wipes or a 5 gallon bucket to wash with. The bucket is good as well because you can put contractor trash bags in it to shit in. Put some wood chips or kitty litter in there too. You’ll never stupidly complain about not having access to a bath, shower, bathrooms, port-o-potties. Manage your own hygiene and piss/shit. It is legal to throw it away in dumpsters/trash cans.
And you better stop making fun of piss jugs. Buy a 1 gallon jug with a 1” to 2” opening with a cap that tightens very securely. The ladies usually don’t use jugs. They use containers with way bigger openings. Get them in black plastic if you’re the type to easily be embarrassed.
Get two so you always have one empty. Don’t pour them out in the asphalt or concrete. Empty them in bathrooms, rest stops, or the dirt on exit ramps/country roads. Manage your own filth. Don’t make other people do it. It’s your piss. Deal with it like an adult. Jesus.

Learn your profession and trade. Start caring about your job. Otherwise you’re going to kill yourself and someone else.
Bounty66@reddit
4 years as an Abrams tank driver. 4 years with Werner and 4 years with Hills Brothers. Two decent but not perfect outfits. Then 4 years as a Gov employee driver.
I’ve done OTR, dedicated, express, and LTL/local.
You’re just a seat filler right now. You’re so new it hurts. Learn more.
Bounty66@reddit
No. I sound like a guy who drove 75 ton tanks. Makes your rigs look small.
Bounty66@reddit
You could learn how to secretly uncover your truck or bribe a non company mechanic. But then you’ll be fired eventually.
The trick is to show up on time. Be reliable. Do that and a good trucking company will give you a rig with a higher top speed.
There are shadow fleets within companies. Unspoken teams that get better equipment.
FWD_to_twin_turbo@reddit
Stop it you're giving me flashbacks of I20. I'm coming up the hill doing 75, and some genius pulls in front of me on my nose doing 68 because the hub group doing 62 was annoying him, but he didnt have the steam to pass the hub group truck up a hill so he ended up falling back.
That leaves me doing 59 in the hammer lane up a hill, i had some choice hand signals for that fucking Werner driver but then again, i always do.
Bounty66@reddit
New drivers do that. They gotta learn. Too bad someone’s gotta die before they learn. 😒
Bounty66@reddit
Werner =‘s Weiner. Fixed that for ya! 😂
Bounty66@reddit
Safety is more important than you buying your Gucci purse.
Bounty66@reddit
No. Leave earlier and cruise to your appointment. Less stress.
Instead you guys leave late or let your stupid dispatcher bully you into simping. Stop letting your dispatcher rape you. You get there when you get there.
Slow is smooth. Smooth is fast.
BL24L@reddit
People can't understand the pain until they've experienced driving in a governed truck. That f'er that I just took two minutes to pass at 66 mph was doing f'ing 58 as I was gaining on him for the last mile. I know because of the front facing radar. I mean, it's frustrating bs.
K1d-ego@reddit
The only reason you’re faster than him when you’re behind him is because you’re drafting off of him. You’re both slow as fuck. Just slow down or work for a carrier that actually lets you control your truck.
Boatwhistle@reddit
8 mph gained from draft, huh? Also, if they gain for a mile at 8 mph difference at high way speeds, then they started from no less than about 700 feet behind, or almost 2 football fields. So you are saying that he gained 8 mph from drafting behind a truck about 11 truck lengths in front of him?
Naborsx21@reddit
I have an ungoverned truck that can go 80+
When I'm passing someone that's doing 60 after being behind them doing 60 I take more than 0.5 seconds to go 65. People don't think about that lol.
Baddy001@reddit
My truck will go 75, and Ive had someone cut around me when I'm finally getting past the truck I was stuck behind for the last 19 minutes and break check me like I'm the asshole. It's getting worse.
Broad-Ad-1015@reddit
Hell ive had 4 wheelers fly by my like I'm sitting still im doing 70-75 in the right hand lane and as soon as they get past jump right in front of me and start slowing down to 68-67 like wtf do you wanna be a magic pancake cause that's how you become a magic pancake
Baddy001@reddit
I've had the same thing. It's like they think every single truck is governed the same. Drives me fucking crazy. Happens a lot
Broad-Ad-1015@reddit
Yeah my favorite is when I'm flying past everyone in the left hand lane and some jackass doing 10 under decides to wait till im on thier bumper to get over even though I'm a big red truck that can be seen from a good distance away
imchasingyou@reddit
Fragile ego epidemic is raging

This
TouchMyBoomstick@reddit
My favorite part is the entire comment section trying to gaslight others into believing it’s completely on purpose and we get off to it, who out there has enough time just to fuck with people? We’ve got places to be.
grawrant@reddit
Idk, when I see a 4 lane hill and a ton of signs that say "NO TRUCKS IN LEFT LANE" and a truck swerves all 3 lanes to get in the farthest left most lane, causing me to have to slow down And wait for him to get past the other three trucks... You best believe I'm brake checking that MF'r while we're still going up that hill.
TouchMyBoomstick@reddit
Yeah, never understood why some drivers do that, you can see the hill coming and should know which lane to be in so you can get around the next truck without having to cut someone off. While I completely understand the anger, take care in brake checking as we technically aren’t supposed to swerve to avoid an obstacle and they’re likely to just plow into you if they have a dash cam and can prove it’s a brake check.
Double edge sword on roads like that, an example being on I-77 with 7ish miles of steep grade, most trucks climb that sucker at 45mph but if I was empty I know I’d rather not sit at 45 when I could climb it at 75, yet I wouldn’t cut off a line of cars for it.
Broad-Ad-1015@reddit
There's a particular hill just outside of Atlanta going west bound that I dread getting to usually im lighter than everyone else and can do the 60mph going up but a lot of the other guys can barely do 50-55 but ive learned to just say fuck it ill watch this guy's bumper for the next 4 miles when it picks up to 70
grawrant@reddit
The road and hills I'm tinking of are the 84 in Idaho. Trucks always pulling into the far left lanes slowing traffic, even with the posted "NO TRUCKS IN LEFT LANE".
Also I'm flared, I'm aware how trucks drive lol.
TouchMyBoomstick@reddit
Didn’t even realize what sub I’m on, been arguing with the mouth breathers too much. Never been on 84 in Idaho but if it’s anything like 77 then my condolences.
You mentioned your flair, are there many wells out near Idaho or do you haul water for purposes that aren’t oilfield related?
grawrant@reddit
I specifically work in water hauling in North Dakota, or at least that's why I have the flare. I currently work as a consultant for several different oil field companies, most of them Trucking and roustabouts.
I've just done other things with a CDL then work oil field, and some of them involved driving all over the country
HeywoodJaBlowMe123@reddit
Entire comment section is full of folks that believe the sun revolves around them, everyone is out to get them, everyone is out to fuck with them.
They are the victims.
That’s an on going trend that continues to get worse and worse. Lol
Prankishmanx21@reddit
Oh, I've done it on purpose before but usually it's because someone keeps leapfrogging me or has a habit of speeding up when I try to pass them. But then I know I'm a dick. I just don't care.
TouchMyBoomstick@reddit
That’s a special case though, those fuckers will always deserve it.
AndromedanPrince@reddit
fuck 4 wheelers. who cares what they think? half of em cant merge, pass on the right, do everything last minute, and drive with their phone in their hand. we really valuing their opinion? 😂
Meatbuns66@reddit
Main character syndrome is real
unftp-0@reddit
Probably took one minute. People exaggerate it. We’re the most hated
Parasite76@reddit
Speed regulated trucks will have these consequences everywhere someday.
MotorcycleDad1621@reddit
And bro in the middle will get pissed when everyone that’s been following them that whole time actually try and swing through and take off.
NotUhhPro@reddit
We have 1000 things that annoy us about four wheelers but they're not supposed to have a single thing we do that annoys them? Yall need to grow up. I'm a very patient driver and even I get annoyed being stuck behind governed trucks passing for 10 minutes. I get why yall do it, that doesn't make it any less annoying when it happens.
Miserable-Bridge-729@reddit
If you look at it from a different angle you can get:
Motivational Speech Set goals for yourself and stick to them. It doesn’t matter how long it takes you will eventually reach them.
Servitus@reddit
It literally will delay you a few seconds if you're in a passenger car.. The majority of people just don't understand how little this actually matters to their actual destination arrival time, they're lazy and dislike anything that requires them to make any actual inputs while operating their vehicles. Just let the truckers get on with their work and be thankful you don't have to do what they do.
shadowmib@reddit
The time on that is a little exaggerated but I did the math one time and it does take between three to four minutes to pass someone if you're going 1 mile on per hour faster so at 60 miles an hour then would be about three to four miles. If it's taking seven miles that means they're only going about a half mile per hour faster if that's the case I wouldn't even dream of trying to pass and take that God damn long
KnownAdvantage5366@reddit
Governed at 65, the pain is real
ModsMakeMeAngy@reddit
We're the guys trying to pass them for 7 miles in the governed truck. How do you think we feel?
lobo2r2dtu@reddit
From right to left; 62-65-67
Good luck.
12InchPickle@reddit
I was reading a comment on there saying all highways should have 1 designated lane just for truckers and one found not in that lane would get ticketed.
kakarota@reddit
I think that's called a train
blairbunke@reddit
There's zero chance of that being enforced when the west seattle bridge was part closed for repairs a few years ago the one open lane was supposed to only be for semis and busses. Cops gave up trying to police it after the literal first day.
Dirty-Dan24@reddit
And then complain that all their shit from Amazon is late
Tough_Skill488@reddit (OP)
It’s so funny that they say that when I know for a fact 4 wheelers would use that lane like we don’t see dumb stuff everyday from them too.
kakarota@reddit
The beauty of not having a governor. When I had 3 lanes and 2 slow trucks I'd move all the way over and pass quickly 😀
yeroldpappy@reddit
Just because they say it took seven miles to pass doesn’t mean it’s the truth. The truck in the left lane may not have been there that long. Also I get slowed down way more by idiots in cars than I slow them down.
Weak_Pause177@reddit
if i know i cant pass a fellow trucker i fall back and just get right back behind them. if i see a trucker struggling to pass me knowing they’re faster i reduce speed and let them in. shit isnt a big deal and MFs need to put their egos away.
Turbooggyboy@reddit
This is the way! I used to drive in Europe and everyone is governed at 90 kph or less (85 is pretty common). Of course, people switch to different size wheels and other factors that make it so that everyone drives at different speeds when doing going full throttle. Is it really worth the frustration you cause for everyone else just to gain that position? I used to drive Sweden-Netherlands and the time gain from fighting with other trucks for position on the highway netted me fifteen minutes or less in total travel time over 500 kilometers.
JeepingTrucker@reddit
This! If the fucker is .5 mph faster, just fucking let them have it, it's not like your truck capable of catching up anyways, regardless of how hard you stand on the gas pedal. The extra 5 seconds it takes to be professional and courteous isn't going to make you late and if it does, you've got bigger problems.
Hekish_1@reddit
This looks like any other day on the 401. lol
Strong_Wasabi8113@reddit
Lol using this math problem how long until someone goes nuts and passes I'm the shoulder ?
GoochGuardian@reddit
And legislation seeks to set a hard limiter on every truck. This is going to be the outcome.
Responsible_CDN_Duck@reddit
They're all governed at the same speed, and this race is down to tire wear.
Worn tires for the win!
LockportTrans@reddit
That's what truck speed limiters accomplish!
YosyPerdomo@reddit
You'll see my 65 is faster than your 65.
twig8944@reddit
Driving was social media before social media. Everyone is anonymous, everyone is more important then everyone, everyone thinks everyone else is wrong. Doesn't matter if your in a truck or a 4-wheeler.
magichands6969@reddit
need to make those people drive a truck for a week and then drive a school bus for a week......
qaf0v4vc0lj6@reddit
Hell to the fuck no. I wouldn't want the average redditor anywhere near my daughter.
magichands6969@reddit
LOL you make a valid point.
halfcow@reddit
Someone on here once said, "I'm not passing you because I'm faster. I'm passing because I'm more consistent."
In my own words, "You're too stupid to be in front of me." (LOL) Honestly, if you're making bad decisions in traffic, then I'd rather get around you.
