PC for girlfriend. Is it good for 1080p at decent settings?

We're not looking for a beast of a PC and the budget is not that high either. She doesn't play anything too demanding on it, and we have a PS5 which does the job well enough on that front. I already got her a monitor which maxes at 100hz so we're not looking for mega high framerates either (She can barely tell the difference between 30 and 60 fps anyway xd)
Here's the build: https://pcpartpicker.com/user/MikeThe4th97/saved/#view=LZJyVn
Mainly looking for opinions and alternatives in case any of the parts have to be changed. Thanks in advance

Faster gpu, 2tb ssd, 32gb ram, same price
miguelcmps@reddit
2tb ssd is so cringe. Get 1 for the os and 1 for the games. I have a 500gb m2 for os, and a 1tb m2, a 1tb ssd for games. Also a 1tb hdd for large downloads/files
TheStokedExplorer@reddit
My not a 4tb for OS+ more and then another 4tb later? Don't need to seperate things on ssd like hdd. Why no one really partitions ssd.
miguelcmps@reddit
Buying 4 sdds costs the same if not cheaper than 1 with the same capacity. But if your ssd fries you lose the full price instead of a fourth of it.
Also bigger ssds then to have bigger LCs that arent great for longevity and speed of the disk
TheStokedExplorer@reddit
Actually you're very wrong on that it's cheaper for multiple 1tb. Don't think you've looked at how cheap 2tb m2 drives have gotten. Also you do realize most boards only have 2 to 3 m2 slots and usually only one of them being the faster pcie 5.0 if it even has it at all. Nicer boards with 4 sometimes 5 will only have 2 to 3 with the 5.0 drives.
With the speed limits of the pcie in mind would you not want as big of a ssd on those faster pcie slots?
How many systems have you built with m2 drives and they fail? Use a quality brand and you will have no issues. I have seen zero failures on m2 drives like you would on old hdd drives.
Your way of thinking you're missing out on the new age of storage tech. My 4tb 5.0 m2 drive has a 12,500mbs speed. I'd rather do that than have two 1tb of thay speed on my two 5.0 slots then two slower 1tb sticks on the other two slots. That'd be dumb as fuck sorry. Want as much space on my two 5.0 slots I will be getting another 4tb to go on that soon. Then I may load up the other two to be photos and back up storage. Keep OS, games and apps on the 8tb of fast as fuck storage.
LALLIGA_BRUNO@reddit
Cringe mcdoof lol. No real point in splitting up your ssd's. Just takes up your m.2 slots for no reason.
miguelcmps@reddit
I bought 2 m.2 slots, im going to use 2m.2 slots.
If a ssd fries you lose all your disks and I'll might have 3 working
Besides going lower might allow me to buy lower level cells which is better (and more expensive)
proscreations1993@reddit
This comment is cringe. And makes zero sense. What you're doing is so stupid and does nothing lmao... you wasted a m.2 slot for 500gigs lmaoooo yikes

It'll depend if she's watching or if she' broadcasting. and then quality of connection speeds makes a difference.

Saved a few bucks and got some better parts https://pcpartpicker.com/list/XKPGqH
cpu - upgraded to the 5600x and removed the cooler as its not needed. You could do a $35 peerless assassin, but no way you need a $60 cooler on a build like this as most cpu's will come with one. Ram was fine, I picked a similar kit. Found a 2tb drive for the same price, you won't be that bothered by pcie3 vs 4. Only other big change was the case as the corsair case was rather expensive. Just picked a slightly cheaper one.
GroceryHappy4195@reddit
why the x though? drop it and just go 5600, i think it may still be on sale at amazon for just 109. Needlessly spent extra money
Ripe-Avocado-12@reddit
Because pcpp lists a price difference of $7.47 right now and that's not worth explaining that the x and non-x are very close performers and I feel bad for having to explain this because it's literally less than a $10 difference, who cares.
yzjqx@reddit
i don't think the X versions come with coolers. Maybe include a cheap peerless assassin? Or just go 5600 and use stock cooler and save the 35-7.47 dollars. Yea 60 dollar one is overkill
WhitezZXD@reddit
On the 5000 series the X comes with a cooler
yzjqx@reddit
gotcha thanks for the updated info

Better components, double the RAM, and cheaper

RAM isn't AMD EXPO tho?
WhitezZXD@reddit
XMP/EXPO works the same
Still-Ad-3083@reddit
Ah right, my bad.
little-nightmare-ki@reddit
i got my cpu on ali for like under 80. it was 5600! it has like 10000 reviews lol
RoboticmechWarrior@reddit
If you can afford it you should go with RTX 4060 for the GPU.
Fawkter@reddit
You're within striking distance of an AM5 build. Here is one that is $60 more with same GPU, better CPU, and a PCIE gen 4 m.2.
Considering this use case of not needing a powerful system, I'd recommend shooting for an AM5 to upgrade in the future.

7600x bundle at microcenter for $300
Fawkter@reddit
Forget the link I posted and just drive to your nearest microcenter.
I still can't believe we don't have one in the PNW.
Danol123@reddit
Not terrible, but personally i would switch to Nvidia for the GPU and get slightly better RAM as even less demanding games these days demand a lot of RAM these days. So if you could get 2x16 fairly cheap i’d do that instead. You don’t need a crazy expensive GPU either, but i’m sure you can get a 3070 or even a 4060 fairly cheap. At least then it’ll be slightly more future proof for low/mid end gaming. Although that is my recommendation. Other than that it looks like a decent setup.
willanaya@reddit
just make sure that yours is 1080 as well because if she finds out that you are rolling with a 1440, your nights just got lonelier and your computer becomes hers.
Abject_Scientist@reddit
My wife claims to not be able to tell the difference between my 1440p 144hz on ultra settings and her 1080p 60hz on medium. Some people are not swayed by those things and I envy them.
cheeseybacon11@reddit
My wife literally thinks the higher graphics on my PC looks worse and wants to stick with her 1650.
NotTheSun0@reddit
Shit, it's better than my build and I play everything at 1080p lol
mikepurvis@reddit
Very similar to my build and I have a 1440p ultrawide. 💀
YouR0ckCancelThat@reddit
Do you have a Microcenter within driving distance?
lifesucks63@reddit
1080p is great if you don't love her.
Maybe if you give her oled monitor so she can pop off at 360hz but gpu needs to do that many fps.
Zingus123@reddit
This is more than enough for 1080p 100+ fps in most titles outside of the newest of the new.
Happy_Brilliant7827@reddit
Looks fine to me. You could get a smaller psu
FreeVoldemort@reddit
You can get a Ryzen 5600 off of ali Express for $75. Way better gaming performance than the 5500. I've bought a few of them.
