Pentagon: No evidence it’s any foreign entity. It’s not Iran. It’s not our own tech. Which leaves…?

Theres a tiktok going around from a woman in NJ filming them over a running track and saying the way they move looks like they are mapping terrain. Back and forth in grid movement. Who is mapping NJ? Why NJ?
fropleyqk@reddit
Satellites can literally do this in shockingly high detail. No need to be so loud about it over a populated area.
TheNightWitch@reddit
You are right! Hadn’t thought of that.
CastleBravo88@reddit
It's airplanes?
improbablydrunknlw@reddit
I'd think the FBI would know what an airplane is, I think it's a job requirement.
CastleBravo88@reddit
Unless the fbi was, ghast, compromised by political beliefs! Crazy. I know.
Subobatuff@reddit
Finally someone asking the REAL questions!
chumpster032@reddit
They must know what they are. Its crazy that they are just allowing speculation to soar. If I was more conspiratorially minded I might think it was some kind of psy op.
DocMoochal@reddit
That's the leading theory. People dont even think its aliens. They think it's the American military testing super advanced drone technology over civilian airspace. My question is always why? They have ranges for this? And if evidence ever got out about that all hell would be raised, people genuinely seem scared in NJ right now because they arent going away, and they're there all night long.
Flyingfishfusealt@reddit
They are likely testing a few things at once, probably face id from a distance and AI control systems in an urban airspace.
MaracujaBarracuda@reddit
Why only at night? Why for a month straight?
DocMoochal@reddit
I ask these same questions. I should have made it clear in my above comment. I don't support the foreign adversary or US testing narratives. But it seems, maybe out of fear of appearing crazy, people dont want to confront the possibility that this could be a non human presence.
I mean our own scientists have said should first contact ever occur, it's far more likely it will come from a piece of technology like a drone or a probe than from a flesh and blood creature. For all we know these are probes sent to earth millions of years ago with advanced AI. Something we're almost capable of.
Sirosim_Celojuma@reddit
The coincidence in timing makes me disbelieve this theory. I'm not going to refute any argument in particular, just that human drone technology is currently evolving very quickly, and it's unlikely that an other-worldly investigative probe happens to be visiting at the exact same time as our earthly technology happens to be attaining a similar level of technological achievement.
inlinestyle@reddit
…and basically only focusing on New Jersey
Sirosim_Celojuma@reddit
YES! ...and somehow travelling light-years or through dimensions or whatever, they decide to be coincidentally below commercial jet traffic, below private plane traffic, but above private airspace.
Personally, if I was exploring another planet, I'd get closer to the surface for detail, or orbit and get a big picture. This FAA-abiding concidence is a cherry on top.
BongoLocoWowWow@reddit
It’s not just New Jersey. Do your research and see they are being sighted all over the globe, including much of the US. New Jersey just seems to be getting all the attention. Not sure why that is.
free2ski@reddit
They're here for Mama's marinara and gabagool recipes. Now NJ starts to make more sense!
LockMart51865-219805@reddit
The flying palaces of ancient India, the flying wheels of ancient mesopotania, the winged beasts/angels of global ancient mythologies, the flying chariots of ancient Rome, the flying galley's and galleon's of the dark ages, the fairy's and tokelesh's etc of the middle ages, the mystery airships of the 1890's, the flying saucers of the sci-fi infused cold war, the flying 'triangles' of the new-fangled stealth aircraft era, the unmaned 'drones' of the 21st century.
Get the picture? They change their appearance in line with our developmental expectations, to reduce ontological shock. They have been here for a long, long time. I urge you to examine what Jacques Valée has had to say on the phenomon. He is in the right ballpark, AFAIK.
MaracujaBarracuda@reddit
I’m with you. At first I thought NHI wouldn’t look so much like human tech. But as things have gone on, I’m much more open to that possibility.
Flyingfishfusealt@reddit
Oh you just blew my argument out of the water, it MUST be UFO's then.
It's obviously aliens because it's at night and taking forever.
MaracujaBarracuda@reddit
Why are there so many accounts assuming everyone thinks it’s aliens if they question anything at all? I think it’s more likely a foreign adversary and they just don’t have evidence yet
Flyingfishfusealt@reddit
If it wasn't the military they would have brought one down already to study it. If it was a foriegn adversary it would be a hostile act and a takedown would be expected and would not invoke further hostile action that isn't already planned. Stop trying to be a tactician, and stop trying to call people bots.
Consistent-Sundae-25@reddit
Bob Lazar spoke about how we couldn’t back engineer the technology and he replaced a guy who was killed trying to. Maybe they don’t want to try and blow it out of the sky because they don’t know what will happen to it if they try to. They already said that they disappear upon engagement by our military aircraft.🤷🏼♀️
Flyingfishfusealt@reddit
u r jus 2 smurt.
MaracujaBarracuda@reddit
How do we know they haven’t taken one down? I’m not calling people bots, I’m simply wondering what is motivating these people.
Remerez@reddit
Its probably the parameters of the test.
Here is my two cents. This will be a part of new emergency response systems.
Your city has a natural disaster, drones are sent to grid out the location, providing surveillance of a location, and fix any issues with down communications systems. They will also track all movement and will likely be used to report crimes.
MaracujaBarracuda@reddit
Why not tell us they are US drones but make up a different reason for them people wouldn’t object to? Like just say they are surveying land or whatever.
B_Traven9272@reddit
Wording is everything. She stated that 'these are not U.S. military drones'. They could belong to Homeland Security or they could belong to a classified department of the U.S. government.
ppachura@reddit
I think its the private contractors running the reverse-engineering for recovered ufos. They are making a statement about their power so their budgets won't get cut.
Missingyoutoohard@reddit
Do you understand that private contractors with the ability to reverse engineer this technology and reproduce it would literally be funded at a quasi infinite level because of the level of exploitation you can get out of foreign tech in a variety of ways.
Private contractors that work for deep levels of the US military are absolutely in no danger of running out of money.
That’s literally where our best weapons technologies that stay ahead of the curve continue to get developed.
Attainted@reddit
Could also be private contract. I'll bet $1 it's connected to Elon. Just for the hell of it.
mojeaux_j@reddit
Watch her wording "not u.s. military drones" They are more than likely black budget projects carried out by a private firm so she can legitimately claim they aren't military.
Holiday-Fly-6319@reddit
It also escapes liability.
mojeaux_j@reddit
Bingo one falls out the sky it isn't on u.s. but corporation XYZ
Holiday-Fly-6319@reddit
Or like flock they can avoid privacy laws.
Flyingfishfusealt@reddit
Because the law clearly states it's not legal to talk about classified military projects even if it's being tested in sight of the public. They will always say "We don't know anything about it" Until it's legal to talk about.
LeopardAvailable3079@reddit
Trump will tell us as soon as he’s inaugurated. He can’t keep anything a secret.
BaylisAscaris@reddit
That's the main reason I think aliens aren't visiting Earth, if he was briefed on it we would all know immediately.
DancingPhantoms@reddit
There would be no reason to classify drone testing related to emergency response.
90swasbest@reddit
Of course there would. Might it have a military or national security application? Classified.
And that is a very broad brush.
They can make anything highly classified if they feel the need.
Rev-Dr-Slimeass@reddit
Perhaps this technology could be used for natural disasters, but we both know that's not exactly the goal. Those are all valuable things to know in a protest, war zone, or even just to surveil innocent people.
moocat55@reddit
Maybe part of the plan to conduct mass deportations on day 1? Think it's too early to prepare? Not if you truely believe your about to be asked to do just that.
Rev-Dr-Slimeass@reddit
Well that's absurd. The mass deportations, if they happen, are going to take years of prep and litigation.
qualmton@reddit
Once their plan is ready they will be looking to declare martial law and suspend habeas corpus. These litigations will be handled through a military tribunal and be highly expedited and prejudiced. You don’t involve the military on domestic soil without martial law. Sure call on the national guard for home soil but a military misuse of this magnitude will be required to enact this large of a plan. Once martial law is enacted there will be no stopping the power grab and these survalence drones will be utilized to maintain order of the dissenters
Rev-Dr-Slimeass@reddit
That is also absurd.
Missingyoutoohard@reddit
It’s actually not.
qualmton@reddit
I guess time will tell.
Missingyoutoohard@reddit
This.
Missingyoutoohard@reddit
You think.
You have clearly not read history.
The jews continued to have this mentality, then one day, they wake up & are being sealed into ghettos and deported to labor camps.
For once, I’m actually really glad my ex is Hispanic.
msdibbins@reddit
Agree. And perhaps someone's new best, very rich buddy is poised to control access to the tech and data, sell it back to the govt. and siphon up even more of our taxpayer money.
user454985@reddit
But thats not really something to hide, and cause hysteria over.
damnimbanned@reddit
I believe it’s a new asset to the nuclear triad, how exactly? I’m not sure but I’d wager bet on it being a means of intercepting ICBMs or something along those lines.
The UK base sightings really sealed it and the fact that they hover around military bases, seemingly in a protect format.
90swasbest@reddit
Unless they are incredibly shielded, EMP from a much higher explosion would wreck drones.
Ebella2323@reddit
Crimes against the empire. Not for crimes against us plebes.
DancingPhantoms@reddit
if this is the case, then why all the secrecy? I think it has more to do with military use, training a.i on night-vision, thermal, or other night tech for drone tracking, surveillance, and identification.
Remerez@reddit
I 1000% believe it's something far worse; it's the precursor to a surveillance network above all our heads. But the story is going to be something in line with it being for our greater good and our safety.
irish-riviera@reddit
Yea this will be used on innocent civilians and protesters like another commenter said. How often do we see our defense dept tools used for good these days?
qualmton@reddit
They will need to control dissenters once martial law is declared
Galuctis@reddit
Why wouldn’t they be able to tell us?
primpule@reddit
Maybe they aren’t as visible during the day 🤷♂️
Sunandsipcups@reddit
That would make sense except -- they're only doing it at night. In the dark.
JJMICK@reddit
I witnessed these in SE Pennsylvania this time last year and that’s exactly what I thought as well. That it was some sort of test from a company with a new drone or a local gov that was testing them. There would be multiple of them but it seemed they followed the same path and were just going from point A to point B over and over again. I figured it was inevitable at some point that drones would be flying around everywhere, delivering packages, giving speeding tickets, face scanning and data collecting. But since everyone is shrugging their shoulders now that people are actually asking questions it seems so much more nefarious.
JS-AI@reddit
I like this theory, seems plausible imo
diamondhandstrademan@reddit
What evidence do you have for this claim? Or are you just making it up/repeating something someone else said on the internet?
MeanBart@reddit
Probably heat sensors to track inside cities when the war starts...
8Deer-JaguarClaw@reddit
One of the theories we've been batting around at r/NJPrepared and r/newjersey is that at least part of this whole "drill" is to gauge civilian sentiment, reaction time, and also the ways in which information is disseminated (and how quickly) by civilians.
mcmaster93@reddit
I've seen theories that our gov may be searching for something. Possibly even scanning for a substance. Some scary scenarios include a nuclear weapon that may have discharged that our gov wants to keep under wraps. These drones could be scanning for signs.
cbih@reddit
Some intrepid skeet shooter should take one down. Find out reaaal quick who owns them.
south-of-the-river@reddit
Problem is that a lot of whackos are misidentifying normal planes etc for these drones, can't have people just taking pot shots at random things in the sky
cbih@reddit
That already happens. It's pretty hard to hit planes, and the FEDS do not like it.
CaptainChris1990@reddit

RedAlpaca02@reddit
I could see it as them looking for lost equipment or weapons, but if a nuclear weapon was discharged we’d know about it quickly since many industries use sensitive radioactive equipment which would be thrown off by excess radiation, and a decent amount of people have radiation detectors in niche hobbies
opanaooonana@reddit
If it was intact there shouldn’t be any radiation as they are generally safe to handle or be around
RedAlpaca02@reddit
100%, by discharged I thought they meant it was actually giving off radiation
Mikedaddy69@reddit
I just perused the New Jersey subreddit and came across this comment.
Makes a lot of sense to me honestly.
8Deer-JaguarClaw@reddit
Yeah, that's a good one, too.
I live about 10 miles from Picatinny Arsenal, btw. As soon as I heard that some drones had flown into and out of the Picatinny grounds, I knew for sure it was a high-level government project. Nothing goes there without explicit permission. Rogue craft would have been taken down immediately.
Mythradites@reddit
Kinda like they made a sub reddit to monitor such reactions, maybe tap into the already paranoid and aware to do the civilian monitoring for them.

Tiltrotor drones
JJMICK@reddit
I’ve caught orange orbs in the sky by my house before but one time my mom called me outside to look at these 3 orbs going in a circle in the sky off in the distance. After we watched them for awhile they broke off and started coming towards us. Once they got closer it became obvious it was 3 helicopters with search lights but I live in the suburbs and I’ve only ever seen helicopters with search lights in the city. The helicopters came directly over head and were low enough that I could see the bottom side and the typical landing gear you’d see on a helicopter. The strange thing is they were completely silent except for the faintest flutter. Usually military choppers come by and the entire house shakes. I’m not gonna say it was a ufo or that it morphed shapes just to trick us but it was definitely strange. This was 8 years ago.
mortalitylost@reddit
There's a helicopter going around frequently, and I can literally hear it from a mile away... if it was dead silent over you, that's nuts.

I think its a third party contractor cuz if u listen to when she’s asked the question are these American she pauses but then when the reporter asks US military, she’s quick to say oh no they’re not US military. The reporter gave her a quick off ramp from thinking hard about the “are they american?” question.
Missingyoutoohard@reddit
She likely probably knows nothing & is just a figurehead speaker relaying a press release.
If this is our own “government” it’s something at the deepest level.
Beyond anything we could do about it.
ReasonableLeafBlower@reddit
Idk a more appropriate word lol but they’re just edging you. Or dangling a carrot.
When someone’s dangling a carrot on a string in your face, they’re manipulating you.
It’s very clear they have more to say. But they are as vague as possible. Like a public filibuster.
So they either have some serious knowledge and are withholding because they want to use it against the public/other countries. (Maybe they think it’s too scary for us too)
Or they don’t have anything and are using the vagueness of the matter to manipulate you eventually. Project blue beam or whatever if you will.
It’s fucked. We all need to unplug from it because I want them to be real and I want them to be neutral beings who recognize an imbalance in human emotions. Perhaps too few are living ecstatically and happy (yknow, playing god with immense wealth) and that they will somehow bring balance. But being neutral beings, that may look really scary to EVERYONE on the planet.

-rwsr-xr-x@reddit
Last summer, a single Chinese balloon lofted its way across the U.S. from Alaska with a surveillance package beneath it, and the military lost their stuffing, cleared the airspace and shot it down.
Now, with hundreds to thousands of reports, videos and photos of drones coming out nightly, they're like "Nah, we're all good. We don't know what it is at all, but it's nothing."
It does not make any sense.
If these were an actual threat, FAA would be clearing the airspace and NORAD would be scrambling jets to intercept.
So my vote is that these are domestic in origin (they even have the proper FAA Part 107 lighting!), very likely mass scanning/surveillance UAPs, and they're being used to stir up a false flag proxy war against Iran.
The whole notion that suddenly Iran has a stealth navy nobody knew about, and it somehow made it all the way here undetected, thousands of miles from home and just double-digit miles off the Jersey shore, is ludicrous. Are educated people actually believing this? Seriously?
It's giving Operation Northwoods vibes for sure, and that plan was concocted 50 years ago!
LicksMackenzie@reddit
My guess is that this ENTIRE congressional UFO narrative has been tailored, suited, and finessed a million times by the finest minds of the Ivy League to fit the needs of whatever has been determined. It's being done phenomenally well, I think. UFO's were a bigger subculture back during the Cold War and immediately after, but faded in the 90's with a dearth of sightings. I doubt they're genuinely from another planet with intelligence life that sent it. My guess is that it's just DERPA playing around with their version of a jumbo-drone that uses basic anti-grav and next gen energy tech. Or not, who knows.
BunzoBear@reddit
Even if they released the statement of what they actually were It would fuel even more speculation in different directions
JJMICK@reddit
I seen these SUV sized drones fly in and out of NE Philadelphia airport this time last year. They would land and take off from the airport and sometimes when one was landing another one would sit and hover and wait for the other to finish descent. I was confused then that I seemed to be the only person who noticed them or really cared but everybody thought I was talking about small drones or planes. From far away they would look like white light but once closer you could see the green and red blinkers. They would fly parallel to the PA turnpike and then head back the other direction. My honest thought was they were testing and training these drones and were following a set preprogrammed route. Since I’ve have noticed that I don’t see them any more in the area and I pass the airport daily on my commute and even tho it is dark now I don’t see the activity I used to. These prob belong to some corporate entity that thinks they have some obligation to keep it secret to protect their patents.

I was sorta being sarcastic. I'm guessing 99% of their data is very urban heavy either way. It's better than nothing but google street view is light years ahead on the data you claim they are masters of. There are also other street view providers that are doing much better than random pokemon scanning is ever going to provide.
-rwsr-xr-x@reddit
What I find funny, is Niantic had holes in their mapping data, or lack of good photos for their maps, and just put a handful of high-value Pokéballs in those areas, causing dozens to hundreds of people to go try to find them, filling in their missing mapping data.
Google does this with WiFi access points all the time when people use any phone (Android or iOS) with even a single Google app on it (which pulls in Google Services Framework, and passively captures EVERY AP you drive by.

Remote_Researcher_43@reddit

thesayke@reddit

Remote_Researcher_43@reddit
Then why is law enforcement and Feds diverting precious resources to investigate this? No one is saying go back to normal. FBI is asking the public to send them photos and video. Congress and other government officials are demanding answers. All they are saying is there is no “known” threat: they haven’t damaged anything and no one has seen an obvious weapon attached to one of these.
thesayke@reddit

Remote_Researcher_43@reddit

wheres__my__towel@reddit
Yes.
It’s been widely reported on the the news and in communications from county authorities, yesterday’s hearing that: very long flight time, car sized, (relatively) high altitude
In concert these exceed the capabilities of the most capable drone that we know of Boeing A160 Hummingbird. It’s obviously likely the military has developed better tech but drones commercially available to citizens are absolutely no where near these capabilities

Citations needed. I'm not seeing any confirmation about supposed flight times, size, or altitudes, let alone how those things were measured
And the "most capable drone" you know of is the Boeing A160, wut
wheres__my__towel@reddit
I’m not getting citations from those aforementioned groups for you. Don’t care to convince you.
Do you know of a rotor drone with a longer flight time and/or higher max altitude?
thesayke@reddit
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Airbus_Helicopters_VSR700
The A160 was originally designed in 1998. Its development ended in 2012. Of course there have since been rotor drones with longer flight times and higher max altitudes. Do you honestly think tech isn't better now lmao
wheres__my__towel@reddit
Wow you are a bumbling buffoon.
You conflated two different claims lol. One was about what the drone’s specs were being discussed as and the other was that the hummingbird was the most advanced (publicly) in those specs. You conflated these two because you’re illiterate. EVEN THEN you failed to make valid rebuttal since the craft you provided has LOWER specs in both metrics. Once again you must be illiterate as to not have noticed this lol.
20k max ceiling vs 30k ft, 10hr flight time vs 20+ hrs. “Easy to prove” huh? What an idiot lol
Now regarding your last idiotic statement, I literally said “It’s obviously likely that the MILITARY has developed better tech”. I guess you’re too illiterate to have noticed this.
It’s insane that you think “random citizens” have access to this tech. You’re very idiotic
thesayke@reddit
What's your first language? Not English, obviously..
Nobody even has a good picture of these drones but you're trying to tell me they're the size of a SUV? lmao
With what payload?
Oh right, those specs are for the A160 without a payload! It never got out of prototyping. It was never operational. The VSR700 actually carries a useful payload operationally, and it's a quarter the size and weight.. But of course if you take the payload out you can fly higher and farther, duh
"this tech"? Whatever is flying around has its lights on! Do you actually think operational military stuff is going to do that lmao
You did think that, didn't you
wheres__my__towel@reddit
Stop shifting your arguments and take the L, and just stfu now that you’ve embarrassed yourself

the fine hobbyists at r/fpv implied that the FAA would (and has) tracked down accidental NFZ infraction sources from drone operators and charged them. I have no clue in reality, though.
thesayke@reddit
The FAA can only easily do that if the drone operator is using Remote ID, which is not always enabled and just doesn't exist in older drones
probablyTrashh@reddit
I was under the impression it could be tracked. In fact, my local HAM club could probably fox hunt the control signal, once the frequency was determined within an hour.
thesayke@reddit
Yes, I said "easily" because otherwise you have to identify and do cooperative direction finding on the drone control and video signals, and in an urban environment full of similar signals and multipath interference that is not easy at all. Random hams do not have the equipment to do that, and even with the FCC's equipment it's still not easy to do
probablyTrashh@reddit
Ahh America. Made it to the moon, but can't directionally track several related strong radio signals directionally. How far she's fallen.
thesayke@reddit
"Several"? "Strong"? How many radio signals do you think there are in New Jersey lmao
There are millions. Most are weak and overlapping
probablyTrashh@reddit
The SNR at or near the drone must be enough for the receiver to hear, no? If not, I did make it clear the frequency was assumed to be known earlier right? Filters exist. But again, I'm no radio comms professional like you, I'm just a hobbyist.
thesayke@reddit
Why do you assume that the frequency is known, or even consistent? If it uses a decent spread spectrum LPD radio link it won't be. If it uses WiFi or a cell connection, you're going to have great difficulty picking it out of the noise.. And that isn't even getting into multipath propagation. Direction finding often isn't that easy in field conditions
You're right that I have professional experience with this stuff though
probablyTrashh@reddit
Yep!
agent_flounder@reddit
I would think you're right. If they're SUV sized and fucking around where they shouldn't be flying I can't imagine FAA (or some other agency) wouldn't be tracking that down.
Remote_Researcher_43@reddit
Great, we have critical law enforcement resources diverted from real emergencies looking into a technology from a US three letter agency.
The resources and technology required to pull this off could only be attributed to a nation state.
aureliusky@reddit
The US Air Force is very picky about airspace and they regularly scramble jets to intercept possible threats. This is their doing or they would be plucking these out of the sky themselves just like the Chinese Weather Balloon Station episode.

What was the US government response to spottings of the B2 stealth bomber before it was public knowledge that such a plane existed? iirc it was similar. Deny deny deny. "Ohhh we don't know what that was. Nothing to be worried about, but that totally wasn't one of ours...don't worry though."
HappyAnimalCracker@reddit
This is how I remember it too. And I had this same thought over this situation.
CannyGardener@reddit
I mean, most of the testing there was done in the desert, where there are no folks. If that is, indeed, what is happening here, it would really surprise me... I mean, I can't imagine they would test equipment, let alone "secret" equipment, over populated areas. That is the part that doesn't line up. I feel like no matter what direction I look at this from, it doesn't make sense. Not foreign? OK. Not US Gvt? OK. I mean, honestly the most likely thing at this point is that a company got ASI running, and it has control of a manufacturing plant somewhere and as it pumps these drones out, they are accumulating in certain areas around the globe, but again, that is way the fuck out there. None of this makes any sense.
probablyTrashh@reddit
Maybe they are at a stage where they are pro Ong some sort of capabilities that have to do with imaging at night or over urban/built up areas. Simulations and field tests only go so far.
AVGJOE78@reddit
Could be part of their “Total Information Awareness” system. Testing the efficacy of fast movers over urban terrain, scooping up cell phone data, triangulating positions and tracking vehicles. Of course, the prime testing ground for these systems would be Ukraine, but testing them on US soil would avoid international outrage. The other effect is that it would desensitize US citizens to these fast moving drones scooping up DRT on people. My guess is the Federal government is preparing for wide scale civil unrest.

Yeah, all those empty malls and Wallmart parking lots will become the new concentration camps for Trumps DHS deportation forces, and “council on un American activities.” Wooo-hoo!
CannyGardener@reddit
Yes, that would lend some credence to it being testing. Again, though, there are a thousand other less obvious locations to do the testing. But yes, Occam's razor says it is our equipment, and we are doing testing in the open.
wheres__my__towel@reddit
Ehh, testing in the UK and China also? Nah
JailTrumpTheCrook@reddit
Or UK and China testing their own drones after spending the last years developing them, because they saw their success in Ukraine.
wheres__my__towel@reddit
So you’re saying that each of those governments all simultaneously developed similar tech and then simultaneously decided to test it at the same time, and all decided that they wanted to test it in hazardous public air spaces and freak out the public? Possible but incredibly coincidental and not how nor where new aerial tech are typically tested
JailTrumpTheCrook@reddit
Two projects, US/UK and China.
Timing is coincidental, but not really since the programs ran parallel with high level priority from their respective backers.
Or timing isn't coincidental, one axis tested their system then the other side tested their version to show they had the technology to.
Nah, you're right, probably aliens on safari.
ThePlatypusOfDespair@reddit
Not even that big of a coincidence since we seem to be edging closer to world war 3 daily

It ain't us.
Foxx026@reddit
So hear me out, in that video specifically. There could be several drones already there but with no lights. Then they each flash their light in a millisec of each other to make it appear it's one craft moving at high velocity
Vibrant-Shadow@reddit
Sure, it could be. But with as many sightings everywhere, it's easier to believe it aliens.

This was my thoughts also, why conduct such tests in view of the public. If it is advanced US tech, why do you want the public or your adversaries to know about it?
anis_mitnwrb@reddit
there's literally a NOTAM specifically for drones specifically for Picatinny Arsenal where all of the reported "drones" are. it's definitely R&D testing and probably being done near there specifically to test that civilian infrastructure (radio bands) doesn't interfere with whatever they're doing once it's deployed
I doubt this is even that "secret" if someone dug into it, simply people working in government aren't going to disclose what they've explicitly been told not to disclose. hence they're like "don't worry, it's safe but who knows what it is"
SaltyCandyMan@reddit
It's ET
ZenythhtyneZ@reddit
Would that not depend on what you’re testing for? Unless you’re testing for flying around in wide open spaces without being caught that’s not an especially relevant way to test something designed to be used in populated areas.

And it was only in Lancaster and Palmdale. 😂 And it wasn’t the bomber that created the questions. It was the stealth fighter as it looked like nothing we made up until then.

Which leaves the same old Mexican two step and watch my left hand while the right hand stabs your neck. They’re out there testing or calibrating new radar. There exist’s whats called the adiz (air defense identification zone) line around the U S coast its a long been established line providing an airborne security checkpoint that no “detectable” aircraft can cross going in or going out without a flight plan or some prior notice. If there is an entry or exit over this line there will be a very big effort to identify the target and if communication isn’t established there will be some company shortly in the form of a helo or someone in an f-16 from the local tfw. So our brilliant officials don’t know who did it and ran and are refusing to do any more than point at the sky and say oh look there are those drones we cant identify and cant shoot down again tonight. So is it reality that the military is impotent to do anything about this? Is this the reason this country doesn’t win any police actions and never have btw If the drones were going out over the ocean then i would think maybe they are flying the money thats missing at the pentagon out to sea. Anyhow when the government says its safe well its gotta be, rite? SOOOOOOOOOO WROOOOOONG!

fropleyqk@reddit
100% But remember who posts here: terminally online basement dwellers, consipracy theorists, kids, bots, and those looking for attention. Don't expect a mature conversation in a whacko's bedroom.
That said, here are my thoughts, open to discuss if you want:
- We ABSOLUTELY have the tech, means, and manning to capture or destroy one of these targets.
- In a post 911 world, there is zero chance the US gov't would allow so many aerial vehicles unchecked so close to populated areas of which one is NEW YORK.
- If a foreign adversary wanted to show us their new tech, they'd do it once and move on. Leaving yourself vulnerable to capture/expose for months doesn't make sense... and you wouldn't do it in such a provocative way (see Ukraine below)
- They're not mapping anything, we can do that in great detail with satellites and other less-panic-causing means
- We're not testing new tech, we do that privately for very good reasons. There is not one single reason to do it over a populated area. We replicate scenarios in the desert/out of view. Testing publicly can demonstrate our own limitations and levels of development to other gov'ts
- We're not showing off new tech, if we were, again, we'd do it once and it wouldn't be over NJ. Ukraine is literally a stage for governements to measure their bigger, badder dicks on
I literally can't think of any reason these things are flying. And why only night time?
- If NHI, why do they have lights for easy discovery?
My best far fetched theories are:
- It is US tech and they're desperately looking for something that these are specifically capable of searching for
- It is NHI and this is a way of easing us into their presence
Neither of those are satisfying answers though. The shit literally makes no sense.
deletable666@reddit
I have not seen any video of them doing anything extraordinary that would fit the 5 observables, so I think they are either our own drones flying around for some purpose or an adversary trying to piss us off/stir the pot.
I don't understand what makes no sense about any of these explanations personally. I don't trust what the government says in regards to national security, that is the most tight lipped and psyop ridden category of government action.
If these things were darting around doing crazy maneuvers or something sure, but they are literally just flying around like drones.
If they are adversary, the US doesn't want to amp people up or be reactionary. If they are ours, who knows, like you say maybe they are looking for something. Maybe they are simply testing EW systems. I think they might be testing out drones accompanying aircraft or other vehicles and troop movements.
There is nothing these things are doing that leads me to believe they are some exotic tech though, or even some advanced prosaic tech. They are just drones flying around. The mystery is who or what group are flying them, why they are flying them, and why local and federal government are keeping people in the dark about origins.
The UFO sub has been nothing but drone posts for like 2 weeks. If there is any type of the constant disinfo agents they claim every 2 hours, it is people flooding the sub with news about drones instead of anything exotic lol.
fropleyqk@reddit
I can't find anything that solidifies the claim but I asked multiple places if the sounds they were emitting were the traditional whiny, high-pitched DJI off the shelf type and a few said they actually sound more like jet engines. That'd be very interesting if so.
I suppose another plausable explanation is that it is a group of people doing it. Drone parts and 3D printers can make them pretty cheap. Could be the authorities are allowing them to fly as they track down their pilots. But I don't think that'd take a month.
I dunno, it is really interesting regardless. Truth be told, I hope it is NHI. One thing I hope to see in my lifetime is the confirmation that we're not alone. Man, what a crazy time to be alive that would be!
AlphaLawless@reddit
And you believe them because the military has such a good track record of being truthful? 🤣

There is no commercial drone available of this size. This is not a hobbyist.
Beneficial_Local360@reddit
No large commercial drones?
The Griff 300 can carry 500lbs and had a wingspan of 20 feet. There are larger ones with 42 feet wingspan that carry 1000lbs. Amazon is testing ones they could use to deliver things like refrigerators. And these are just "quad copter" style.
Fixed wing commercials drones are just the size of airplanes.
xinreallife@reddit
How long can those fly for?
Beneficial_Local360@reddit
Depends, how much weight they are carrying, if you're not carrying weight you can add batteries, other electronic gear draining batteries, etc.
At full load in their normal config, 45 minutes to an hour.
Background-Class6406@reddit
I understand, but they’re not in mass supply for the public. They’re also not cheap, and to think that multiple “hobbyists” have them, and are flying them every single night at the same time and no one can catch them after nearly a month is ridiculous.
thesayke@reddit
If they've got their lights on, they're commercial drones being flown by hobbyists. Operational military drone flights won't do that
Commercial drones aren't necessary small!
Background-Class6406@reddit
Which commercial drone have you seen that is the size of a large truck?
Also- you’re saying there’s “hobbyists” flying massive drones no one’s ever seen before, every single night, some sitting in the EXACT same spot of the previous night, and they all have the same massive drones, and somehow coordinate every night to fly them out and evade police choppers and other drones used by police. It’s our tech. They’ll never admit it from the podium. What better way to test it risk-free than fly it over our own bases and see if they detect them?
kitterkatty@reddit
Of course it’s our tech. Just under wraps. No aliens care about our speck.
Traditional-Leader54@reddit
“No evidence that it’s any foreign entity.” does not mean it’s not a foreign entity. It only means they can’t prove it.
Remote_Researcher_43@reddit
You forgot the part where they came to that conclusion after an “initial assessment” which means they looked at it enough to rule out that it’s ours or a foreign adversary.
Traditional-Leader54@reddit
It has to either be from within the country or from outside the country (foreign). Even alien tech would still be foreign. If they ruled out that’s it’s foreign then by definition it has to be domestic. So either way they either can’t prove either or are just lying like usual.
Remote_Researcher_43@reddit
Since when has ET been considered a foreign adversary? 🤔
Traditional-Leader54@reddit
You’re either foreign or domestic.
Remote_Researcher_43@reddit
Keep coping my friend.
Traditional-Leader54@reddit
Huh?
jacksraging_bileduct@reddit
Or they just don’t want to say, and not create a panic.
mortalitylost@reddit
I honestly think it's aliens, but they aren't willing to say so until one steps out.
Imagine being in their shoes. You can be sure it's not ours, you can be 99.999% sure it's not China, but you can't say it's aliens because that makes you look like a laughing stock if it turns out to be highly advanced adversary craft.
In their shoes, it makes no sense to say aliens until an alien lands and confirms it. You're just causing unnecessary panic if you do. How do you know? It flies "funny"?
I think it's fucking aliens and they have no idea how to react to it or confirm it, and just realize it's a bad idea to try and shoot them down. And if it is, they're just waiting for them to do something themselves to prove it, and the aliens would be just showing they mean no harm and making sure we're in a peaceful spot where we don't try and shoot them down, and we don't riot.
This would be the most peaceful way of interacting with another civilization and trying to minimize panic and aggression. "See, we're here, were not hurting you. But we're here." Then stop showing up and analyze how people react.
Flintstones_VRV_Fan@reddit
Aliens wouldn’t need airspace regulation lights. Come on now.
LankyGuitar6528@reddit
If it was aliens or Chinese or Russian or even civilian - or even if you didn't know what it was - you would scramble a jet to intercept. The fact that the military isn't trying to intercept means they do know what it is. So it's either aliens and the US military has been told to stand down - OR - It's US Military and they don't want/need to shoot it down. Which of those two seems more likely?
Telemere125@reddit
That’s really the only logical conclusion. Occam’s Razor means we can’t put stock in wild theories and the US military is too much of a “destroy it and figure out if it was hostile later” organization to just let a potentially hostile target hang around in our airspace - especially post-9/11. We still make people take shoes off at the airport; they aren’t letting unknowns fly around the country.
MrD3a7h@reddit
Agreed. They know what it is. The options are limited.
It is a US military craft they can't confirm the existence of (yet).
It belongs to a three-letter civilian agency. The CIA had the A-12. These drones are tame compared to that.
They are indeed aliens; they know they are aliens, and know they cannot/should not intercept them without risking dire consequences.. Alternatively, they are "friendly" aliens with whom they already have diplomatic relations.
Assuming they are related, the Pentagon UFO videos tend to rule out option 1.
Smart money is on option 2, but option 3 is a wildcard that fits the vibe of this last decade. Why not toss aliens on the steaming pile of modernity?
jacksraging_bileduct@reddit
I understand where you’re coming from, I tend to think a terrestrial explanation is more likely, the officials just don’t want to say what they are.
But I also know that we live in a time where even if an alien landed in Times Square and stepped out, the government would probably deny the event.
Fluid-Tip-5964@reddit
Alien in Times Square? I bet the alien would be totally confused by the tourists try to sneak in a selfie without paying $10
jacksraging_bileduct@reddit
It’s probably why they seek out the lesser populated areas :)
mortalitylost@reddit
Honestly, a terrestrial explanation is always more likely than aliens, but being more likely also doesn't disprove them either. It's just, more likely. And that's ignoring recent events.
But the thing is, we've had whistleblowers coming forward for years now, and the pentagon literally released that UAP video years ago starting this whole thing, and they've been back and forth saying, "we have crashes, and we have 'biologics'".
So now we're at a strange place where members of our government say they have crashed ufos and alien bodies. It's beyond "unlikely" and more whether you trust them, and "them" has grown in number by a lot. Former government officials are telling us it's all real. Congresspeople have said they've seen credible evidence. It's not about likelihood anymore, it's about whether a lot of people have reason to lie and act like aliens are real.
At this point, I think the only reason for all that to come out is because they know it's going to come out. And if that's the case, this might be the start of it.
And if it is aliens, let's just take it as a good sign that it's been super peaceful and they're not trying to scare people or cause unrest.
user454985@reddit
Bingo
Vivid_Celebration124@reddit
What do you think is more likely lol... aliens?! or another government. Come on man
jacksraging_bileduct@reddit
I’d say whatever is going on it’s most likely being done by people, not aliens, I’ve always felt if aliens had technology to get them here, first of all they would lock their doors when passing by, but if they did stop they could do it with us knowing.
Vivid_Celebration124@reddit
OK fair enough. Think I misinterpreted your response
jacksraging_bileduct@reddit
I can see how it would be easy to take it that way, but in the big picture, aliens are probably the least of our worries, people are way worse.

consumerclearly@reddit
Also they didn’t rule out a private entity like Lockheed Martin working in tandem with the military with their statement
NickyNaptime19@reddit
You can have evidence and not prove something.
Evidence would be lots of things. Iranian chatter taking credit would be evidence. Intel on capabilities would be evidence. Where they go during the day would be evidence.
Court cases, for example, don't "prove" anything, there's evidence that's collected, reviewed, and people decide if they believe it.
It's impossible they have "no evidence" of anything.
Traditional-Leader54@reddit
But you can’t prove anything without evidence so you still need to have it.
NickyNaptime19@reddit
Of course. I'm just trying to say the idea that there is NO evidence can't be the case.
Not being able to prove does mean evidence exists
InflationEmergency78@reddit
It baffles me that more people don't understand this. There are so many reasons for them to not disclose all the information they have. Even if our military bases aren't being directly threatened, this is still a major national security issue (assuming this isn't our own technology, and they aren't outright lying). Anything that is a national security issue is going to result in government officials either being very tight lipped, or having limited/varying degrees of clearance and information access.

They didn’t say it’s not our own tech. Thus is a Pentagon spokesperson - she can only speak for the Pegtagon.
She made it very clear they’re not considered a threat and not foreign. That means they’re 100% our own drones. She said they’re “not US military”. Big deal- that just means they’re CIA or DARPA or whatever. That press conference convinced me these are 100% our own drones and they have no intention of telling us what they’re doing.

My take, it's a foreign government and they know it, but saying so would be bad for them. Not in a propaganda way, but from an intelligence perspective.
If they know exactly who it is, how and what the adversarie is collecting than they can control what the enemy is able to collect and know exactly what was gained by them. They just play dumb and act like they are defenseless to keep the enemies guard down.
The real question is, what exactly does someone expect to be able to collect with a drone that they can't collect with more clandestine tools, like a satellite or commo station.

TXAggieHOU@reddit
If you watch it again, you do kind of see it as her saying their initial assessment is that it’s not human. That’s why her voice dropped when she said “foreign entity or adversary” the last time. She knows she is saying something massive. They wanted people to know it’s not an Earth based military issue.
Also, she is saying “at no time were we threatened,” as in “at no time did we SEE a threat,” which doesn’t mean there was or was not in fact a threat. It’s also like the military indicating this is actually above the level of the U.S. military - again aliens.
The military does not want to come out and say directly, this is aliens, they do not want to be the bearers of that message, that’s a Presidential function.

Taking one down is illegal locally (most often) but also federally with the FAA bringing federal charges against you. It's considered an aircraft and they don't take the shooting down of aircraft lightly. They will go after you in every single way they can.
I've had a problem with a drone and was considering this option until I did lots of research. That may be why no one has tried, but I imagine if it keeps happening- someone won't care/know about the punishment and do it.

There are shoulder mounted jamming systems and directed-energy weapons that will take out drones using Microwave and RF. If they truly didn't know what these are, it would be trivial to knock a few out of the sky and investigate them. Even Law Enforcement in the US are being equipped with platforms like DedroneDefender. Military and Navy have tools like JCREW/DRAKE 2.0.
My bet is these either are domestic craft. The tools are available to non-destructively take down and retrieve drones. In my opinion the only reason that hasn't happened, is because they are domestic. Remember when the US scrambled jets to shoot down unpiloted, unguided balloons?
I call shenanigans.

Well, it's certainly not "aliens."
No-Profit9477@reddit
I read a rumor that they are sniffing drones checking for nuclear residue (dirty bomb).
No idea if this rumor is even remotely true or not.
Different-Chest-5716@reddit
I bet it's AI drones that have gotten smarter, faster than we thought.

Project Blue Beam.

This is a hardcore niche subreddit and most of you guys are grasping at implausible straws before even considering it’s an extraterrestrial presence. You’d better change your point of view, and quick :)
Ho_Advice_8483@reddit
If it’s Iran then it’s invasion time If it’s our own drone it’s a psy-op If it’s our drones masked to look like Iranian drones then war
All roads lead to a war this can’t be hobbiests right?
SMarseilles@reddit
It's very very very unlikely to be Iran
what's going on with shipping tackles the Iran angle.
SubstanceObvious8976@reddit
Theyre testing the range and signal of "mothership" deployable drones in various city scapes at various ranges.
The drones are not powered by household energy sources
TimeAd2388@reddit
Everyone - let your drones fly free!! Apparently, there are no more aerial restrictions.
bravoeverything@reddit
Why aren’t ppl like shooting them down? How hard is it to find out who’s flying a drone? Drone’s need regulation and shouldn’t be able to fly where ever the f they want when they want. Ppl and their privacy should be protected
Cats_Are_Aliens_@reddit
Where are these things landing and taking off from is my question
DustyTurboTurtle@reddit
Nearly word for word the exact same language they used to describe the Chinese balloons lol...
Why does this dogshit subreddit keep getting recommended to me?

If these drones are part of an exercise to counter drone attacks, or even missile attacks they are not going to tell people.
NJ Bedminster is where Trump golfs. There were rumors of Iran trying to assassinate Trump, and possibly by drone now all of the sudden just prior to inauguration weird drones are spotted near there?
yourloveTrump@reddit
Now you people all of a sudden believe the govt? Pathetic

Jeeves-Godzilla@reddit
This is bizarre. Does it seem to be they are just slow moving this issue? In my world I would’ve scrambled jets and shot it down.
Swineservant@reddit
Just drop a net on it from an apache, if it gets out of line, evades, fights back, just destroy it...
probablyTrashh@reddit
RF jam it from the ground for Christs sake. We have the tech to do so and it'd save a lot of fuel! 🐸
Cats_Are_Aliens_@reddit
Exactly! Like dude fr? There are one man weapons specifically for taking down drones without hitting them with a projectile or rocket
Jeeves-Godzilla@reddit
The drones are the size of cars, so it should be easy to do that.
ScorpioRisingLilith@reddit
It leaves private companies/contractors, not aliens.
DankesObama42@reddit
Bullshit.... they can track where the drones come from and go. If they arent ours, they know whos they are. This is dumb
orchidaceae007@reddit
So not US military, not a foreign adversary or entity. So… Skunkworks? Or NHI? Or they’re lying.
reddit-eat-my-dick@reddit

CenturyLinkIsCheeks@reddit
i dont know why people are suddenly taking the 3 letter agencies at their word.
ktulu0@reddit
They said there’s “no evidence.” That’s not the same thing as saying they’ve conclusively ruled out a foreign entity. As for whether it’s our own tech, I would doubt it. Why, for example, would we want to use these drones to harass a coast guard ship? Why would we fly them at low altitudes over populated areas? That seems awfully risky to me.
screeching-tard@reddit
Its called lying. Most people learn this by middle school.
reality72@reddit
So it’s confirmed they belong to the pentagon then.
CrazyShinobi@reddit
Correct.
Pika_Pug@reddit
Considering this has been going on for weeks and not isolated to NJ, I have a hard time believing it is actually ours and we’re just testing out some tech.
probablyTrashh@reddit
So which fpv pilot will be flying up to snap some up close pics tonight? r/fpv

mark_i@reddit
It is either US or China. And realistically it's a secret US military project.
Jazman1985@reddit
Man, I've always been pretty skeptical of the government but the last 4 years have really taken it off the chart.
They're lying to us. They feel justified that they could show up in court tomorrow and claim they never said anything untrue. They're trying to be clever by mixing words, but clear obfuscation of the truth is nothing but a lie. We should start treating it that way.
illHangUpAndListen1@reddit
They lie about everything. All the time. They’re lying here too.
thesayke@reddit
So these drones are being operated by American private citizens, which is the obvious explanation
No big deal
Aimin4ya@reddit
The mob. Wait no... McDonald's. Or the rothchildren. Maybe it's the Portuguese. Kind of leaves a lot of options really.
kingdom_tarts@reddit

But you legit just said it was Iran..... Twitter was having a whole discussion on it
cryoK@reddit
So, aliens I guess
Enigma_xplorer@reddit
"No evidence it's a foreign entity" does not mean that it's not, it only means we don't have the evidence yet to pin it on someone yet. They never say it's not "our tech" only that it is not the US military. That means it could be any number of the thousands of private and commercial drones. I really cant understand how it is this hard to figure out who is launching these drones. Considering how important drones are in modern conflicts if we can't manage drones on our own soil we are in big trouble.
