Had liability on a car crashed it, upgraded the insurance and it’s been about 2 months now so I’m wondering what’s the best way to report it so I get payed out

Hey be careful with that most all cars 1996 and up have airbag sensors when them air bag sensors detect a crash they stamp a - time, gps, speed, etc etc. cant be used in court but will help them get the truth

Would that still apply if no airbag went off?

Yes but I can’t say how far it backtracks

Yeah genius you're gonna get busted. I work for you major insurance company, in the department that catches the gifted like you. I'm not going to tell you the myriad a different tools available than any claim specialist will be able to use to catch your dumbass. But there's plenty. Then you can bet the shop that you take it to go get repaired to has incentives as well to let insurance companies know when dumb dumb's like you try doing stupid shit that raises my fucking premiums every month jackass.

Just back into something again, like a tree or rock

I think (in my state, at least) if you hit a deer, you don't have to remain at the scene, but you still have to report it. Just be careful that the damage isn't obviously old (i.e. rust where the paint is lost), or have plausible explanations ready.

Damn then only issue with that is that the damage is on the back 😭my car spun out and the rear quarter panel took the damage along with my rear bumper

Make sure to say you made contact with the deer though. Contact with animal = comprehensive, no fault. No contact = loss of control, at fault collision loss.

So should I do some type of damage to the front of my car? Because as of now it’s perfect fron the front
yowtf420x@reddit
You could say you grazed the deer, it might still count. If someone told me that I’d give them the benefit of the doubt (I’m a liability adjuster). But that’s if you’re worried about fault or an increase in rates. If you just wanna get paid out either accident description would work. Or you can say it was hit while parked and unoccupied. No cameras or witnesses. Does the damage look like you hit a stationary object? (Weird question but sometimes you can tell and auto damage adjusters do look out for that)

Can I Pm you? I have some questions I want to ask in private if that’s ok
yowtf420x@reddit
Yeah sure

Pm sent

You swerved to avoid the deer, went off the road, and hit guardrail/rocks/trees/etc... Same theory.
anonymousponderor@reddit (OP)
Your fucking awesome I think I might just do that
anonymousjeeper@reddit
Just remember, your car made contact with the deer. The deer ran off.

Or an oncoming driver drifted into your lane? Maybe you can't remember precise location, just general, so no thorough investigation of the sight can occur. Also, happened at night, making you even less sure. You didn't get a good look at ANYthing.

With a police report. And call your agent.
