Can anyone point me in the best option on how to get myself off this federal hold list or CAIVRS report?
I do have some unpaid federal student loans....
I tried to reach out to the credit holder of my debt - They wanted a bunch of info before they would even answer any of my questions. So I hung up. They wanted to get money before even letting me know if or how long take before I am removed form CAVIRS report.
So hopefully reddit can point me in the right direction?

I just did an FHA Loan and had the CAIVRS removed.
If you make 3 consecutive payments on your defaulted loan (you can make the payments up to 20 days early), you can then apply for consolidation and the CAIVRS can be removed once the consolidation is complete. Otherwise you have to make 9 consecutive payments on your defaulted loans and the CAIVRS is removed automatically. Feel free to DM me if you have any questions. I just consolidated last month and close on my FHA Loan next Friday!

And if you stop paying again it goes back on it ?

everyone with federal loans should get their loans out of default and on an income based plan. There is no other way around it

What’s an income based plan ?

If you have federal loans they base the payment on income and family size.
