What are they doing now?

Does anyone know what all of the Mythbusters are doing now? Including the Mythbusters Jr cast, Christine, and Jess?
Note: With the exception of Adam and Grant
Adam is an independent contractor, and YouTuber.
BriGuy1965@reddit
I know that Kari Byron is involved with STEAM. Sh did a podcast with Craig Ferguson a couple months ago. So did Adam Savage.
Frog21@reddit
I really Jamie to write his memoirs or biography. So many stories.
w00dbadger@reddit
I'd buy that, in hard cover paperback and audio.... Especially if he performed the audiobook!
ilikepacificdaydream@reddit
Kari runs a program to get girls into STEM fields. It's pretty awesome
LevelAd5898@reddit
Ugh ofc she does she's such a queen
imreadytomoveon@reddit
Nah, she's just another Big Oil shill now. She's nobody to simp for anymore
BrewboyEd@reddit
Last I heard, oil exploration/drilling was a STEM field - sounds to me like staying true to her roots.
IsAlwaysVeryWrong@reddit
Disappointing.
North-Pea-4926@reddit
Jamie is a professor in Finland
85tornado@reddit
Jamie is not a professor in Finland. He has an honorary doctorate. It's like recieving the key to a city. It's a gift that recognizes someone's effort and impact.
ladyred1234@reddit
Both are true. Be receive an honorary doctorate and he is a professor at LUT University.

When i heard this i was simultaneously blown away yet not surprised haha
sanguwan@reddit
I agree.
After hearing this, I had to go look. Apparently, after MB and Jamie leaving, M5 Industries no longer does special effects and focuses on research and development instead.
Sabre3001@reddit
R&D in what? Special effects, or something else?
sanguwan@reddit
For example: they engineered a tank that can be used to fight wildfires
Vicorin@reddit
Sad, they could have made a cool action movie instead.
Clifnore@reddit
So disappointing that they are trying to save lives. Ugh.
jmjackson1@reddit
I know Jamie was involved with some major R&D for better masks during the COVID shutdown.
KMjolnir@reddit
I mean, R&D can be pretty spectacular too.
Burning_Wreck@reddit
There was a video with Jamie showing all the parts of his shop, done during the Mythbusters run. There are several spots where he says, "Here's something we made, but they use computers to do that now" or something similar. By the time Mythbusters was on, most practical special effects were getting replaced by CGI.
Recently ILM closed their model shop in Marin, CA, and Adam got these big cases that have all kinds of plastic parts for making models. There's a video about it on the Tested YouTube channel.
So at least Jamie pivoted to something new instead of closing down completely.
say_the_words@reddit
Sounds like a CIA cover job.
OliviaElevenDunham@reddit
Somehow, that doesn't surprise me.
EmperorsChamberMaid_@reddit
Scottie is a dentist/dental Hygienist, I know that much
antsam9@reddit
And former member of Weezer
85tornado@reddit
Wow, I didn't know that! Neat.
EmperorsChamberMaid_@reddit
I always forget that fact. Man she has led such a cool life
85tornado@reddit
Jamie is busy being left alone. (Kidding. He does R&D.) Kari has at least one STEAM initiative. Scottie is a dental hygenist for some reason. I have no idea what Tory is doing, and the same goes for Jess.
tech_medic_five@reddit
Brian Louden is living in St. Croix and was filling scuba tanks. He’s active on TikTok and probably one of my favorites mythbusters.
BSforgery@reddit
Always an honor to be remembered. Very kind. After Mythbusters I went searching of something a little more like home having grown up over seas. I ended up on St. Croix in the US Virgin Islands. After a few years I found myself in the unfortunate place of having lost my partner at home. I picked up tik tok one night and read the first of many letter to Kady and about my feelings. Not a produced video. Not much of a thought beyond that I needed to put those thoughts out instead of in. That hit and connected with about 15k people at the time.
Friends found me a job that suited me well. There were more responsibilities but the jist of it is I sat at La Reine fish market eight hours to rent scuba tanks our to spear fishermen. Who mainly came between 2pm and 3pm. As people asked about my day to day that went from grieving to island life and sitting in a lawnchair with no AC and not bathrooms around gave me plenty of time to tik-tok on the clock. The authentic feelings I had been used to feeling were important to my grief sharing transferred over.
Because it feels like a return home I love and revere St. Croix. While I very aware many places has down sides St. Croix and the USVI have so much to teach us and so much we can gain. It has thousands of years of history and a kind supportive community. As that community began to support what I said about it I focused more. And I was guided, supported, warned, and worked with the community to maintain a truthful and respectful balance and that remains a continual part of my life.
Since the fish market I was introduced as a black smith to the Director of the Botanical Garden here that has a historic shop I spent some time working on and doing a few demos at. I fell in love with the Director of the garden eventually. We both moved on. Becca now works at the Animal Welfare Center. I spent some time managing the local zipline but stepped away from work again to have a pre-wedding wedding to make sure my ill mother could attend.
I spend most my day experiencing life as a very happy father and husband. Right now my six year old son is singing me various songs he is making up about zombies and demons on his guitar as I write this. My daughter is playing Simon. When the urge hits I will make some content. But my focus is on my home and my life.
Tome_Bombadil@reddit
Thanks for giving us a glimpse. Very happy for you man!
Do you still do any smithing?
BSforgery@reddit
Occasionally. I have a lot with a shipping container shop in progress right now. But I need to clear a few hundred feet of overgrown brush to get there. Once my kids are a little older it will be much more worth it but for now my focus is more garden related and I have a 65ft zip line in my back yard. More fun structures to come!
tech_medic_five@reddit
Brian, thank you for your reply—I really appreciate it. I’ve also enjoyed following you on TikTok, and I apologize for being brief about your former job.
BSforgery@reddit
No worries! Love seeing me mentioned at all. No apology needed, let me say thanks to you!
Relic5000@reddit (OP)
Is he one of the guys from the search?
tech_medic_five@reddit
Yes the taller one who won.
esocharis@reddit
Kari is doing detergent commercials.
Tori was on an Amazon show with Richard from The Grand Tour, and it was....not great. I think he's done a handful of commercials with Kari too, and they did White Rabbit Project together with Grant on Netflix not too long before he passed.
DangerousBus7202@reddit
Tori also did a Show about Island Survival as well, as a sorta mockumentory or something like that.
jasonreid1976@reddit
That's the show he did with Richard Hammond. It was pretty lame.
Nikiaf@reddit
That show was over scripted to a level I have not seen before or since. They really needed to just have fun with it and not make it feel so forced; all while dumbing down the science aspects. Total wasted potential.
mangoman39@reddit
It was such a shame, because everything Jeremy and James have done as solo projects has been gold.
Get_a_Grip_comic@reddit
Yeah I was disappointed, I was watching it and thinking who this show is for?
Rhediix@reddit
Grant also starred as Hikaru Sulu in Star Trek Continues on YouTube. A part which he played both during the run of Mythbusters until after. He greatly contributed to the sets and props in the series.
Yotsuya_san@reddit
I came here to see if anyone mentioned this. I watched a video recently that was a tour of the sets used. One of the doors in the corridor set was labeled for Sulu's quarters. And under the standard placard is an additional one memorializing Grant.
worthless_scum74@reddit
Kari filmed a "project" with the Shell oil company, and when I watched it, part of me died inside. Especially the scene where Kari used chewing gum to seal a leak in a pipe.

I really liked WRP, wish it had gotten renewed
LevelAd5898@reddit
Thanks for reminding me to rewatch WRP I haven't even thought about that show in years
esocharis@reddit
The mind control bit where she was torturing Tori has me rolling every single time lol
SerendipitySchmidty@reddit
I actually liked the great escapists.
ThatSandwich@reddit
Tori was also in the latest Jackass movie during one of the scenes
imreadytomoveon@reddit
Kari has been shilling for Big Oil.
woundtight@reddit
Like big oil and Kari. Win win.
emotwen@reddit
Jessi Combs died setting a land speed record in a jet powered car. There is a documentary called “The Fastest Woman on Earth”.
Letmepickausername@reddit
She was great on Xtreme 4x4 also.
Mysterious_Ad7461@reddit
Yeah, I didn’t even know she was on mythbusters until this post
ComesInAnOldBox@reddit
Yeah, that hit hard. Almost as hard as Grant. I really liked her, she was good people and brought a lot of energy to the episodes she was in. The world lost someone special when she passed.
GreenHairyMartian@reddit
He really was, I had the good fortune to meet her once, she was awesome.
Agent_Smith_24@reddit
I met her brother recently at an event, the Jessi Combs Foundation is doing good work helping get girls into the trades.

Monique198668@reddit
I thought this was a weird joke until I Googled it.
Relic5000@reddit (OP)
I forgot about her. I really liked her episodes on the show too.
(Jess in my question is the mythturn from the 4th or 5th season)
Friendly-Library-249@reddit
Rachel Pizzolato from MBjr is now a model and has a huge following on Instagram (beautyandbrainswithatwist).
Dan12Dempsey@reddit
Adam runs a really cool youtube channel called Tested where he answers fan questions (a lot of them about mythbusters) and other cool science/prop related videos.
ancienthistory1453@reddit
….and builds a lot of cool stuff -props, armor, spacesuits etc in his Cave from start to finish. He’s big in the Maker community.
jolly_rodger42@reddit
RIP Grant
McLarenHyundai@reddit
What about Christine? I had a crush on her back in the day.
DLoIsHere@reddit
Adam has a YouTube channel on which he answers questions about the show.
KingGrizzly1987@reddit
I heard Scotty Chapman became lead welder at ILM
Galileo_RRAMA@reddit
Tori did a show called The Explosion Show also and Adam had a thriving business and a Wonderful YouTube channel. Most recently he teamed up with The Slow Mo Guys for a few videos.
Emerald_Rain4@reddit
Kari is heavily into getting kids into the STEM fields. Tori seems to do random projects here and there and now has a podcast. Adam has his tested channel. Jessie and grant passed away. Scottie does metal art and travels
No_Nobody_32@reddit
Tori and Kari are both on socials, so you can follow them to find out what they are doing. Kari is still doing STEM/STEAM related stuff.
Scottie became a dental hygienist.
Jessi died during a land-speed record attempt in 2019.
Allie from MB Jr is "Robotmakergirl" on insta.
schowdur123@reddit
He's referring to Jess, not Jessi. They are different people.
Relic5000@reddit (OP)
Yea, Jess was a "Mythturn" in the middle seasons.
