What is the quickest and safest way to ship from US to UK?

Buying something from a US brand and just now found out that they don’t ship internationally. So will have to get delivered to American family members and then have them ship it to me in the UK. Which shipping company should they do this with for it to get to me in the quickest time? I need the product ASAP.

Whatever you do don’t use USPS. Personally have had great experiences with FedEx and UPS.

If they don't ship internationally, you can try MyUs - it's not particularly fast but usually a couple of weeks - I don't have an account with them I just use their direct shopping link and it's pretty good though a bit pricey!

DHL or FEDEX will be hard to beat. Not the cheapest but they will get it to you fastest. I’d also recommend researching whose depot is closest to your house so you don’t have to drive from Aberdeen to Dundee to pick up a laptop or a Green Bay packers jersey.

Is it by any chance on Amazon US? I often buy things from there and they ship pretty quickly, maybe a week or so and all the postage and taxes are included. Works better than i thought it would.

This, don't forget to factor in the charges. If you are buying it in the states because it's cheaper this should be a consideration. If it's because they don't have it closer then there is no other option.

If it's clothes then yes maybe. But if it's something that could get damaged in post then sending it as a gift might mess up your insurance. Since it's going to OPs family first in the US, then sending it as a gift is an option. But if it's damaged en-route it's nothing to do with the company that sold it.

Buy a plane ticket and fly to the USA, collect your item and fly back. The friendlier approach would be to book a flight to meet your American family and stay a few days, sightseeing etc prior to returning.
