Model 55 SX video not showing (early version)

I’ve embarked on reviving an old PS/2 Model 55 SX I had lying around for ages. When trying to boot, the HD drive spins up, but unfortunately no screen. I replaced the Dallas chip and still nothing. I read somewhere on this sub you’ll need the original replacement? I also noticed the chip ‘23F9177’ gets very hot, but I can’t for the life of me figure out why that is?
