Hello!
Young adult here with a father who is not in great health. He recently had to give up golfing (his favorite hobby) due to his body and he’s not been handling it well. He doesn’t have many hobbies due to his limited mobility and I’d like to see if there were any activities yall could recommend for us to do for Christmas?
I take him to explore new places like car shows/koreatown in Carrollton and he LOVES that stuff so I was wondering if yall could recommend a cool area or thing to do around DFW that isn’t physically taxing?
Thank you!

Do you think he'll enjoy an outdoor food market? The Thai Buddhist temple in Dallas has an amazing food market on Sundays starting at 10 am, and it's all contained in a small area within the temple grounds, so not a lot of walking. You can find more information online.

Astra Lumina and Meow Wolf are large artistic installations you walk around at your own pace.
You can fish in local bodies of water with a license available at any sporting goods store
Frisco has a video game museum
I think there are still Painting with a Twist locations in the area.

+1 for fishing as a good dad activity. We have tons of lakes in the area that you can easily shore fish from for a variety of species. Bring a sporting chair bought from Walmart and Academy and you can sit as much as needed.
Even if you don't want to go out to an actual lake, we aren't lacking for bass, bluegill, or catfish ponds all around the area. Same deal.

You might check out The Derby Restaurant in Dallas. It's a comfort food restaurant that's built into a car garage. They've got all sorts of cool cars you can look at, and the food is pretty good.

As a Dad to grown daughters, going to Fossil Rim Wildlife Center is super fun in Glen Rose. How about Adventure Landing at George Bush and Coit or Puttery. Putt Putt is a good time and Puttery is indoors.
Also, I loved the Game Show Battle Room in Addison but you need a group of folks to play with. It's pricey but my family loved it. It's a real life family feud.
Also, what about Escape Rooms.
Finally, what about ICE! at Gaylord Texan. That was a good time watching the ice sculptures last year but book early. Best wishes!
