Update bios on new intel build?

Going to use a 14600KF on Asus TUF Gaming B760 Plus Wifi DDR5.
Intel “fixed?” The cpu issues so on a new build should I update the bios after fully setting up the system or will I be ok?

I'd rather update it immediately, before any load on the CPU occurs.

So after windows is installed I should update the bios?
weegee20@reddit
Update the BIOS before Windows.
ohxyn@reddit (OP)
How do I do that? This motherboard doesn’t have a flash bios
weegee20@reddit
Use EZ Flash.
IanMo55@reddit
That won't work if the OP can't get a display though.
ohxyn@reddit (OP)
Any reason why I won’t get a display?
IanMo55@reddit
Because the cpu and motherboard aren't compatible until you do the BIOS update,
ohxyn@reddit (OP)
Oh damn they’re not compatible?
IanMo55@reddit
They are physically but won't work until the board had the most up to date BIOS.
ohxyn@reddit (OP)
Yeah I understand that and I can’t find any b760 motherboards with bios flash so switching to z790
IanMo55@reddit
Ok.
weegee20@reddit
They'll need an older CPU to update the BIOS then.
Computer shops might be able to do this for a small fee.

Should I plug the usb into the pc once I’m in the bios and it’ll come up? Or should I plug the usb into the pc before the first turn on?
weegee20@reddit
Plug in the USB before powering on.
ohxyn@reddit (OP)
Ah ok, thanks
IanMo55@reddit
You will likely have to update the BIOS before you do anything else. Hopefully the board has the BIOS flash back feature,
ohxyn@reddit (OP)
Unfortunately doesn’t
IanMo55@reddit
Then either get a board that does have the feature or you will have to take it somewhere and have them do it for you,
