7950x+7800xt motherboard and PSU recommendations?

Hi, I am planning to get a new desktop. I already ordered 7950x, and I almost decided to get a 7800xt. Probably I'll get 96GB RAM or more. What would be a good motherboard and PSU for this setup?
Probably I'll try a x870 board. I heard some good things about ASRock Nova but also heard it is out of stock and will be out of stock after like 5 seconds after the restock. I also saw some positive review about Taichi but its kinda expensive and probably Nova is already an overkill for me.
I liked my MSI boards but I heard they don't support ECC which I am not familiar with. I'm not sure if that would matter for me; my main use will be some heavy computation that can take several hours to several days, plus some games. Does this sound like something that benefits from ECC?
Also how many watts do I need for this, and is there any specific product you would recommend?
Thank you.

It looks like you're doing a server workload. If computation accuracy is super important for your work, you might need the ECC support. Do you need Cuda?
I'd say the MWE Gold V2, the Be Quiet 12M, Seasonic Focus Gold and Vertex and the Adata XPG reactor II are the units you may be interested in. Fresh Superflower leadex gold or platinum units should also be fine if you can get them on sale.
Nova and Taichi are the best pickups for X870, I think. For a more premium pick... Maybe the Asus proArt, but it's well overpriced.

Thank you for the recommendations. I definitely don't want to pay more than Taichi, actually not even Taichi but it seems like all x870 boards are overpriced so if I want it I can't avoid overpaying. Is there anywhere I can expect to see the Nova restocked soon?

I'm not sure myself. It's hard to source out of stock parts these days.
In the worst case scenario, X670 boards offer mostly the same degree of connectivity, with less guaranteed pcie5 input/output.

I see, probably I'll just get Taichi or get a x670. Do you think x870e Taichi lite for $400 (before tax) is a good deal, or should I wait few more days hoping for a better black friday deal?
Ephemeral-Echo@reddit
I would wait because an X870 nova usually hangs around $300+.
But there's no guarantee of a price drop, so if you want to get it now, just get it now.

Just got a notification that Nova is back in stock, I finished ordering in literally 45 seconds after I got the notification. Thanks!

What do you need a 7950X/96GB of ram for? Just wondering since pairing it with a 7800XT is a bit odd.

I do play game but don't care too much about that, 4060 could be already more than enough, but just wanted to try a good GPU since I never had one. I need a good CPU for some scientific computation (not AI stuff).
