Is there a correct way to turn steering wheel

Hello Okay so firstly i know steering wheel is held in 9-3 clock position. I am driving since year on learner but never went to driving school. Now just to learn parellel parking I went to school and instructor told me that the way you turn steering is not correct. I turn the steering wheel like I feel comfortable (idk how is turn the steering wheel but the way i turn it makes the turn 100% correct) but now since he is teaching me a different way to turn steering, my whole focus is going on that and i am going out of focus on other things e.g how much to turn etc. I mean I hold the wheel correctly but turning it the way instructor wants is changing my whole judgment. When I turn the steering my way, every turn looks perfect but when i turn the way instructor says makes me loose my judgements

Honestly, once you get your license, you'll probably just start doing whatever is comfortable.
There's 2 techniques I know of, those being hand over hand and push pull. I use hand over hand while driving and my palm while parking.
