I had originally purchased the MSI GeForce RTX 4070 SUPER 12G VENTUS 3X OC, and later because of pricing, upgraded to the MSI GeForce RTX 4070 SUPER 12G GAMING X SLIM. I ran 3DMark on both cards, and even though the new card is more powerful, I'm getting worse frames and a lower score 4210 on Ventus, 3646 on the Gaming x Slim. I'm gaming on 1440p at 165hz.

Am I bottlenecking? I was advised by store associates that I could consider getting a new CPU, the Ryzen 7 5700X3D to help boost my gaming performance. How much would this help, if at all?

I'm running the below with for my build: * CPU: Ryzen 5 5600X * RAM: 16GB of DDR4-3600 * PSU: 850W
