Does it matter if I install an SSD with a heatsink onto a motherboard that already has a heatsink?

Hey all, I'm planning on getting the MSI mag x670e motherboard for my new build. It has a built in heatsink for SSD's, but the current SSD that I already have that I was planning on using (samsung 990 pro) already has a heatsink with it. Does that matter?

You can only use one. Use the one that came with the SSD.

I can just simply remove the heatsink that comes with the motherboard, right?

yes

The heatsink that came with the 990 Pro can be a bit tricky to get off, so it's best to just go with the pre-installed one.
