This sadly is only a poster showing the HAWK/32, Data Generals 32-bit system Eclipse/MV produced by Rolm as rugged MilSpec version.
Such a system still is on my wannahave list, but those are eventually unobtainium - or if they pop up not payable for a normal hobbyist:-(
They have been used in f.e. aviation systems, military, research facilities et cetera - AWACS once also.
Anybody here worked with Rolm Systems ? -- Stories wanted:-)))

I worked at IBM (UK), in 1988/9, on the 8750 PBX, which was a European version of the ROLM 9750 which was sold in the US.
IBM had an interest in ROLM, and eventually took them over. The engineers I worked with came from the UK and got moved over to Santa Clara for several years, only to get shipped back to the UK for the release of the 8750.
I joined for a year's work placement, starting in August, and by Christmas that year the product got canned just prior to it being installed at the first customer site. Suffice to say pretty much everyone who worked on the product left to go work elsewhere.
I think that I still might have some of the ROLM phones (120 / 240 / 400) that got saved from the crusher.
