Ok to dry fire Winchester 94 lever action?

I recently picked up a Winchester 94 (later 90’s model) in good shape and spent several minutes the past couple days dry firing and working the action to become familiar with it. Lots of fun! Love this gun. Probably dry fired it a 100 or so times.
I own a few semi-auto tools. Handguns, shotguns, rifles… I’ve dry fired all of them for hours without issues. But did some research and many people are claiming you will blow up a firing pin on a lever action .30-30 if you dry fire it too many times. Is this true or bad advice???
Happy hunting!

It’s generally understood that modern guns can be defied without issue.
On old guns, it’s generally a bad idea to dry fire them. Will a couple dry fires just destroy the gun? Probably not. But don’t make a habit of it and if you really want to dry fire practice, get some snap caps and avoid the possibility of damage entirely.
