How did you study for your CDL?

Going straight into the dmv, not taking classes. Is there good APPS? Is there cheat websites to study? In desperate need for answers and advice is appreciated.

Go to truck school.justpassing the test will not mean you're actually capable of driving a truck. And the difference is obvious.

CDL prep app is really all you need to pass the test mainly because it literally gives you the questions and answers that you'll get at the DMV. More questions on the prep because different states ask different questions for their exams. All stuff you should know though. It's also free and doesn't take much space. It also has hazmat and tankers courses too if you're interested in that. On a separate link, I can send you a d pic...

The only odd questions imo are the hydraulic brake ones. Other than that, read the book a few times, the permit is about as hard as getting your regular drivers permit in practice. The actual driving and whatnot, bit harder

CristCdl.com and CDL prep was what I used. They had the same questions as the DMVs test so it was pretty easy

Read the manual, then re-read the manual. After that, read it again.

Saying at loud all the parts of the truck with some usual issues and how to fix them; practice backing with the truck, and driving (practicing shifting 10 to 13 speed), study the cdl book and, eating beef burrito or chicken breast on lunch time.

The DMV handbook literally is the test.

They don't allow you to take a road test without ELDT anymore. If you're talking about getting the initial permit I passed my test easy after doing practice tests at cristcdl.com .

It's for a job that offers to pay for it. Thanks!

OP, do you take test Well? You have three chances... there is a strong argument for just walking in and seeing if you can pass the test and if you don't just use the last two chances very seriously...
New Applicant's have to be a trucking school graduate first before the knowledge test is administered

CDL wizard is another prep app. Idk how they all compare, they probably all are very similar. Take as many practice tests on the app as possible and read the driver’s manual up and down.
Randorini@reddit
It's honestly pretty easy, if you have been around semi trucks you will pass
truckingham@reddit
If you are looking to drive for a living you should probably go to school. Most companies require a certain amount of hours seat time (180 I think?)

It's a job that's paying for the CDL, so already there.

For the written test, your states Commercial Drivers Manual is all you need. Everything is in there and there are no trick questions.

Thank you!

Doesn’t seem like you’re searching enough if you’re this desperate for answers. A simple google search or search on this sub will tell you all this info.

Okay well it's not for me. A job is paying a friend to take the test through them. Isn't this what Reddits for? Thanks.

CDL PREP on mobile. I studied this daily all day and I read the dmv manual and did the questions. I passed all 3 tests in less than 20 mins.

Cdl genie and cdl prep are ones that helped me pass my written test, also I would recommend trying for all your endorsements since they wont charge you the first way around
