Maple bacon eclairs?

So I just spent a week in California. The donut stores out there have maple bacon eclairs. Just like it sounds. A maple eclaire with crumbled bacon on top. They were awesome. Anyone ever run across them at any donut store here in Plano??

Hurts Donut. They are available 24/7. You’re welcome

Are they any good tho? I tried the hurts donuts when they came to Houston when I lived there and they were absolutely disgusting. Tried several times and they were always stale af. Like to the point they weren’t even edible.

I haven’t had an issue with the 2 locations I’ve been to in Texas. I will say that I feel the same way you do about the Oklahoma City Hurts Donuts.
I also usually go in the middle of the night/early morning, around 2-5 AM, because I work nights. That may be part of the difference.

Yeah every time I’ve tried hurts they have been super stale

Pop Donuts on Spring Creek and Coit makes a maple bacon cronut - I think only of weekends. It’s a lot of donut, maybe too much going on with the cronut AND the bacon. My spouse loved it but I was overwhelmed by too much flavor.

Thanks

Maybe Pop Donuts in Plano off Coit and Spring Creek, they might. More of an artisan Donut shop (selling Cronuts and such). If you can find a Voo-Doo donut shop in DFW they are another chain of "artisan" donut shops.

In Plano, no. In Frisco, Detour Donuts. Except they don’t crumble the bacon, you get a fat strip! Menu is seasonal though so be sure to check.

Max's donut shop in Allen does legit maple bacon bars but we added our own bacon to them.. the rest of the selection is just ok but the maple bars are to die for.

Sadly just finding maple donuts of any sort is tough here, growing up in the PNW I just thought all donut places/stores had them. I guess it is regional.
However there are a few places you can get maple bacon donuts. One is hurts Donut. They are good but not as good as the maple back home. However they are the closest we have found.
What I really miss is tiger bars, half chocolate half maple. They were my fav as a kid.

Saw them once at Jane's Donuts off Alma and Spring Creek. I've also seen them at Hypnotic Donuts, but that's in Dallas near the Arboretum.

I will try Jane's. Thanks!
