Any advice on company to sign with to pay for my CDL?

I’m wanting to sign up with a company for them to pay me to get a CDL, and of course I’d have to have a contract to work for them for however long. Can anyone advise me on what companies might be the best to work for and the worst to work for? I’d appreciate any advice

LEONARD'S EXPRESS! I worked for Leonard's Express for about a year and a half. Absolutely great company to work for and made good money for a big company. Brand new equipment all the time, gets you home when you ask. They have several yards throughout the country and you take the truck home with you for your time off. They have regional and long haul positions. They have been rated top 25 companies to work for in the country several years in a row.

Knight did mine in 2018.
Had to put down 500 bucks at first

In a lot of places in the us you can go to your local job training center and see if they can help you pay for it. my CDL was free paid for by the government with grants. they do make you jump through some hoops. but nothing crazy i even had them pay for the gas to travel to the school from home.

Toyotas in-house carrier TLD logistics in Knoxville will put you through a four week school and you can drive for them and they’ll pay for your schooling

I’ve talked to pretty much every paid in the past few months most of the recruiters acted like they didn’t need new students prime was really the only one where the recruiter seemed motivated to enroll me but I’ll also say if you don’t have a solid work history for past 3 years either lie or just pay to get CDL yourself that’s what I’m doing

Try getting on as a dock worker for an ltl company. Then get your permit on your own time along with the physical. They usually have a driver apprentice program that will get you your cdl and a pretty good paying local gig. All while being payed decently.

If you’re trying to make good money right away, try Sygma. Food service is hard work, but they pay you for it. A couple friends did their Driver Trainee program and got their CDLs within 4 months of being hired.

If possible go with schneider they charge $2500 to break the work contract for cdl school. I heard Werner charges something like 15,000 with interest if you quit/get fired for their roadmaster school
A local school will charge around 5 or 6k

Depends on what type of freight you want to do.

WEL Companies is a good one in Wisconsin. They will train you and ask you work for them for a year. They were a good company to work for, if a little low on pay. But that's the price for getting a CDL in my opinion.

swift and werner are two companies i know that will pay for your CDL. at my terminal for werner they have a whole ass school on location. so far im enjoying werner alot. can say for swift but i know theyll train you to get it.
like the first comment said, just google “trucking mega carriers that pay for CDL” and a whole list pops up

Google trucking mega carriers and start with those. You’ll see companies like Swift or Schneider.
