Pretty much. It’s a good trigger, but I’m not blown away by it for $120. The second stage doesn’t have much feel to it, and as such, I prefer my Schmidt 2 stage.

Same. I was always curious to try a Geissele, but they rarely go on sale. Every time I needed a trigger, the Larue MBT-2S was just too much of a better choice, bang-for-buck wise.

I only picked up an SSA as a backup because some of that money was going to a good cause.

Meh, I don't really agree. I have my SSAE in my 6.5 Grendel build for LR because I prefer the lighter trigger for distance stuff. The MBT flat trigger is much more preferred for duty use though imo. Crisp break, strong reset, and still a nice weight to put down accurate shots while not being super light.

Yeah the ssa-e is great, i glad i picked it up. it's not much better than the larue triggers though. I don't think I'd ever buy a ssa-e for more than 140-150 though, when you can get a larue for 90ish pretty much year round.

Also, I dont know why, but to me the larues are way easier to install. It took me a minute to get the hammer pin lined up perfectly on the ssa-e

Forever, I shot LaRoo and told everybody they were just as good as g$ because I didn’t have any money. Then I had money and admitted I was was coping. Larue is a good trigger for the money, but it’s not as good. G$ are amazing but not worth what they charge

I just bought a Larue MBT-2S for $95 total. Is this worth $55 more? I've heard the SSA is about the best out there, but as a guy who isn't competitively shooting would I notice a $55 difference?

Or should I just buy ammo with that money.

It appears to be 2&2lb? I'm coming from a stock trigger on a rra lar15 from like 15 years ago so anything is a massive upgrade.

It seemed the g2s and MBT were pretty much 50/50 but the SSA was a but better. Just trying to make sure at the prices it's not a generational leap or anything.
